FALL FROM GRACE
The Land of Shadow. A place obscured by the Erdtree.
Where the goddess Marika first set foot.
A land purged in an unsung battle.
Set ablaze by Messmer’s flame.
It was to this land that Miquella departed.
Divesting himself of his flesh, his strength, his lineage.
Of all things Golden.
And now Miquella awaits the return of his promised Lord.
Character Information
Background / Motivation
_An older, classical knight. A Golden Order Fundamentalist who worships the Erdtree.
One of the earliest followers of Miguella. Believing that Miquella would be the future of The Lands Between.
Branded an Heretical Prophet, banished from The Lands Between after a vision where he saw fire and Miquella walking away from the Gorden Order. A vision he never believed could be real.
He continued bringing kindness to those who needed it outside of The Lands Between, just as Miquella would have done. Always hoping that he would one day find his Grace and set his eyes on the Erdtree again.
Now, he finds himself back in The Lands Between in search of answers. No longer recognizing the land where he was born and raised. What has happened to his beloved homeland? What happened to Miquella? Did he really betray the Golden Order as seen in his vision?_

Sir Mik preferably uses Holy Incantations to strengthen himself and defeat his enemies.
He is very experienced in battle and warfare. He has seen it all. In his time away from The Lands Between he learned to craft and use a great variety of tools, whatever necessary to survive.
Being originally a Golden Order Fundamentalist, Sir Mik is well trained in Incantations and Sorceries.
He acknowledges that, to win a battle, one must to be able and willing to use everything at their disposal.
(With his high Faith and Intelligence, Sir Mik is basically able to use whatever is necessary to win a fight)

me, when Blue doesn't pick up every single glowing skull and i am forced to watch it be left behind: wow... Blue's changed... 😢😂
12:00 "So it's a Metal Gear Solid game all of a sudden" Well, when I reached the end of that sequence, there were a bunch of messages left by other players saying "Well done, Snake"
There are plenty of stealth options: distracting sorceries and incantations, invisibility and silencing spells, talismans like the ones you used, assassin's gambit ash of war, etc. The options were there, you just didn't use them (beyond the talismans of course). Further, you CAN fight them, once you know how. The developer messages hint at the mechanics. Still, shooting the flowers would have been nice.
I was SO hoping you could shoot the flowers to distract them! And I went back and killed all of them :)
I just used my dagger with Assassin's Gambit to walk through that area and avoid the invulnerable enemies.
This is easily the most eerie area FromSoft has ever made for a Soulsborne game, and it carries how empty it is, kinda similar to the Jagged Peak, where atmosphere makes traversing it so damn memorable.
You also lost a big atmosphere-establishing moment, because you insist you walking rather than using Torrent! You can summon Torrent at the Graveyard, but if you dash forward you hit a point where Torrent throws you off for no reason, and then when you try summoning him again, you get the message about him being too scared to be called upon!
It's a bone-chilling moment unlike any you'd ever had in the whole game, and it really sets the stage for the whole area.
You know what first time I step into this area my impression is "bro is this bloodborne?"
This stage gives me chill till now
You can parry their grab attack and kill the untouchables
I learn that at the very end thanks to a really cool note!
You must be a special type of person to endure such pain and brutality... and I like it. Good for you to stand against your foes and vanquish them for some golden dust (runes).
*Boss appears*
Blue: Finally a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary!
We shall fight until the bitter end!
Abyss as I describe it: high on atmosphere (A+), low on content (C-).
definitely one of the creepier places in elden ring, fun stuff
we have power!!!
Can't stop the party, Beryl!
I love Abyssal Woods, but the way you ended the last episode had me thinking you were finally headed to Shadow Keep.
The buckler choice on THIS episode is suspicious.... >.>
I thought the same thing. Doesn't use the buckler until an area in which enemies can only be killed via parry, a little sus for sure.
I don't get the suspicion. The buckler is the go-to shield if you want to experiment with Parry, unless you are a parry master, which most of us aren't. Blue had just read the Diary Page which hinted at using Parry to fight the Aging Untouchables.
@synergy67 it is the timing, the one mob in the dlc who needs to be parried, and blue starts the episode with, I feel like doing some parries this episode. Just amazing timing. 😀
@@SLADE3128 Did you miss the part where he read the diary page saying to deflect then damage the Aging Untouchables, said aha!, then set out to see if he could indeed parry them? I'm confused. It's entirely straightforward how he came to try the parrying.
@@synergy67 He equipped the shield long before he read that note.
Great episode man!
This place is so cool! I am not looking forward to playing through it myself XD also my parry abilities are… lacking 😂
Two handed talisman improves damage by 15 percent when two handing a weapon, however it does not effect ashes of war or critical hits, according to my own testing
I haven’t played the DLC yet - is the abandoned church in the Abyssal wood the only one completely missing the statue of Merika?
I roamed around lost in this area for hours, so empty and the map shows nothing. Great ambience, but I'm tired of fighting rat #13545
Lol perfect description!
