- I finally finished all 6 Black Myth Wukong chapters.
I had such a fun time playing and am going to miss this game so much.
The 4 year long wait was so worth it and I'm so happy I got to experience the game with you all.

Well in the final animation, that monkey is not you, the destined one. That monkey is Sun Wukong, the Great Sage. The animation is the Journey to the West playing in reverse, then flashes forward all the way to Wukong's last fight, the opening scene of the game. That's why you don't recognize most of the scenes in the animation (great nostalgia for Asains who read the book tho). The whole story of Black Myth Wukong is that Wukong achieved Buddahood after the Journey to the West, only to find out that the headband is still on his head, meaning that he is still controlled by the Celestial Court. This leads to the game opening scene, where Wukong deliberately got himself killed in his last battle against Earlang, who gave out Wukong's five relics to the five Yaoguai bosses and secretely kept the sixth one for Wukong. Once you, the destined one, collected all the five relics and meets Earlang, he'll give you the sixth sense after his final test. Then after defeating Wukong broken shell, you shall inherit Wukong's title, the Great Sage, and his memories and will. Wukong gave up his life in exchange for the removal of the headband, the ultimate pursuit of his freedom.

@@Maxinize The nostalgia of playing this game is unreal. It's like your childhood dream coming true. Given that, the good thing about this game is that even though you are not a native Chinese or Asian, you can still find many other aspects you can enjoy and appreciate in this game: the music, the architecture, the vibe, various ways of playing the game, and the story plots. A potential GOTY winner will never fail you.

this ending animation is so emotional. it had the whole journey from the novel, the music from the original tv series, and the similar art style with a "comic" version that i read over 30 years ago. man this game hit me HARD !
@@Maxinize Read the English version book, it is very fun.At least you need to know the brief story of all chapers （100 chapers in total）. There is one chaper about a kindom of all female. It is likely in the coming DLC.
What BaJie is saying when he sit on WuKong's throne is exactly what WuKong said to him when they were here last time, it brings back BaJie's memories, which is why he laughs, and it is a sad laugh, not because it's funny.

Im most definitely playing that. Did you know I actually had to delete the game because I almost couldn't stop myself from grinding NG+ 3 times just to unlock wukong stance.

Whoever is selecting the games their power must've gone out as they were about to put wukong on the list and then forgot to add it when power came back on
yeah, defo sounds like they got some kinda bromance going on @29:10 ... lol
me spent like 80+ hour first play-through, but also getting all secret items including all armors gourds drinks soaks curios available, all except for two items which i got in NG+ in like 30 hours for another full play-through with 100% achievements, and then now almost done NG++ to get all 3 skills set for the 6 senses and armor upgrades, Totaling 150+ hours and running..... There were more than a handful of bosses I was stuck for many hours each in first play-through ....
I understand you, some of those bosses are just too hard but if kept the game installed I was gonna be to tempted to try and 100% complete the game
