tbh I was reading a lot of comments when the incarnation cycle was spoiled a lot of people said fury isn't as good as the rest of the cycle but how the turns tabled the red one is one of the more heavily played ones because free removal is nuts
I might be wrong, but I feel like too many people nowadays are evaluating cards based on how good they are in Commander, where indeed Fury's etb is not that impactful or relevant. But in the other formats it's also nuts, as the scores in competitive MtG show.
I think it's also because people had trouble comparing it to it's counterparts in the cycle because the card it was based off, Pyrokinesis, was more complex than the rest. And the effect itself is a lot less common and played as the other incarnations in the cycle
I also wonder if people get mad that a lot of modern red damage spells don’t target players as often as before. Fury would be busted if it could target players for damage like the original Pyrokinesis.
@@GigaLordShinyMudkip1 pyro is still very niche since 6 mana for 4 damage isn’t a good rate. Now 4 damage but you can potentially have a double striker on board now that has more presence on the field. Even at instant speed it’s a better net positive for you to have a creature with a repeatable ETB if you can blink it instead of a one and done instant
This list showcases what a huge problem Modern Horizons sets are as well as Wizards business model. These incarnations were printed as mythic and completely warped eternal formats around them. I honestly feel bad for people who keep up with these eternal formats.
The MH incarnations making the list isn’t surprising to me, but Fury being higher up than Grief is a bit shocking to me, coming from a player that constantly needs my Thoughtseizes and Inquisitions.
I imagine it's because Fury's so often a 2-for-2 or even better bc of X/1s, where Grief is always losing you a card and loses a lot of its power as the game drags on
Oh and I don't watch much Legacy or Vintage but a 5 MV 3/3 Double Strike that removes up to 4 permanents is way better than a 4 MV 3/2 Menacer in my experience, if you're having to hard cast them
I know some creature types are pretty similar or repetitive but I'm pretty fuzzy on the flavor distinction between elementals, avatars, and incarnations
Elementals are primal embodiments of nature. Usually in Green, Red and Blue. Avatars are physical manifestations of something that doesn't (Like Progenitus, a Hydra Avatar of Alaras Worldsoul). Incarnations are similar to avatars but instead of a deity they're physical manifestations of emotions or ideals.
I myself own a Hebrew Glory, but I never knew how to pronounce its name! Thanks for saying it in the video! I decided to get the Glory, and actually all of the other different language prerelease cards, after finding the Latin Raging Kavu at a game store. Glory was easily the one I was most excited to get. It just felt the most appropriate, and the formatting on the card is simply amazing. Glad I've got it in my collection!
@@NizzahonMagic still in my opinion I think if you were to do some commander based stuff (if time is available). I miss your old, commander on a budget, videos it would be quite impressive to see some of those decks you made be budget now.

Aww the first ever Incarnation didn't make it? :( but it was a powerhouse back in the middle ages :( (no it wasn't, it was crap. Lose half your LP when it dies and all it could do was redirect damage from it to you?)
Wonder is a big casual reminder of how crazy of an ability flying is. Wizards doesn't much care to dock a card any stats for it, meanwhile reach is printed as an absolute premium, and any halfway decent card with reach has to be a mythic for "balance reasons."

I proclaimed that fury and endurance were the best. I maintain that statement.

The Incarnations are a glorious design. I love them, my current Incarnation of choice is Desire. Desire for "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!
I'd really love to see a cycle of multicolor incarnations someday.
At least not giving them the free evoke like the mh2 tho I hope!
@@10freekie2 Yes give them the Ravnica guilds abilities, i want an incarnation with Dredge 🤣
That's fun to think about. Red-white would be...Righteous Passion? Does that make sense?
The lorwyn incarnations have such a great art

Funny that solitude has the fewest points of the mh2 cycle but is the most expensive, probably due to it being the best one in commander
And modern. Solitude exiling and sticking with ephemerate is bonkers
It is the second best in modern too. Commander is a shit format
@@donaldduck6790 Modern is a shit format
White cards that are good in Commander tend to be really expensive because there are so few alternatives, so every white deck wants them.
thanks so much for remembering to show the card! i had no idea they made cards in hebrew thats pretty damn cool.
4:23 You do a pretty good minecraft Steve impression, Nizz
Who?

Anger has got to be one of the best card arts of all time
Been a while since Nizzahon last released a list with such a stacked roster :)
Cool idea! Surprised there would be 10 to make a list but then again maybe not! The ones I know of are pretty decent
this also serves as a top 10 creatures that should be legendary list lol
By which I really just mean 9 and 10
Those modern horizons 2 incarnations could be fit into any decks with their colors lol.
1:17 Wow I aways wonder what card was that...Very cool.
Nizza, your hebrew glory is one of the most bomb ass things I've ever seen, sweet flex bro!
Lawl thanks. It isn't actually that expensive, so maybe not that much of a flex, but it is a special card to me!
Incarnation have a special place in my heart, especially guile and vigor.

One of my very favorite creature types is clerics. Would love a top 10 clerics list.
I have done it before! Though it may need an update.
absolutely love Incarnations, good video
Glad you enjoyed!
We need a Mtg Top 10 of Nizza's framed artwork/cards :)
MH2 is printed.
Magic players: who let the dogs of war out?
I always wondered what that card was. That's a really dope thing to have, honestly!
Wonder is my favorite card, so happy to see it here :)
Incarnations and avatars are some of my favorite creature types
Top 10 cards of "lose all abilities" and another for "activated abilities can’t be activated".
Personal Incarnation will always be the greatest Incarnation.
Really shocked vigor wasn't on this list. But I guess it very slow.
Great vid! Excellent on a Sunday night :)
Incarnations are some of the most flavorful cards in all of magic for me
I want a video about your incarnation card. That’s fascinating.
What time zone are you in? Just looked at UA-cam and as usual saw new video must watch it…. But it isn’t Monday yet for me.
Really surprised about Fury. It was rated so low among the new incarnations and the only one that beat it out was the obviously broken one.
Fury number 1, trying to guess before watching!
It's no wonder who would be at the top of the list
However, I wonder how long it will stay there.
@@stepniak18 I wonder if it has the endurance to stay

Nizzahon I’ve been her since 5k and I plan to stay but hopefully you can hit 100k soon

Fact
Rewatching after the Fury ban in Modern.
תמיד חשבתי ש"מג'ק" בעברית יהיה מוזר אבל "תהילה" נראה די מגניב
How about top 10 clones for celebrating purim
Even further proof MH2 was made to warp and powercreep the format. Remember kids, you can't have fun with your old cards.
MH and MH2 were specifically design to soft-rotate Modern... otherwise, how can WotC sell new powercrept cards to keep up?
TOP 6 were all printed in MH2!
Although wonder was reprinted, so not sure it counts.
@@NizzahonMagic I said they were printed there.
תהילה is not on the list 😞
I'm guessing Fury already
Fury?
Edit:
Ahhhh, ‘twas close
