@@naturespirits5575 well that’s why I made the video so u can hear for yourself! I find myself using forward mode 99% of the time for lead vocals. It has amazing detail, just like the TLM, but a little more controlled in the high end and sounds a little more realistic to me. Still need de-easing and subtractive EQ of course, but overall it’s a slightly better starting point that the TLM (for my voice). I still love my TLM though
Seeing that this video is almost a year old, I have gotten mine during C O V I D, I still love this 387 for rap and singing vocals, I even use my NT-1 for backgrounds. Howdo you @HelpMeDevon feel about it in 2024? anybody else have thought?
@@ALiGzz you are 100% right. I’m thinking of just getting the Atlantis because it’s within the budget and just hold off on the Eden and see if I can get a great deal on it
Should have compared the microphone to one at the same price point to make a fair comparison. Why not compare it to the TLM103 for example ? Nevertheless interesting review.
SO what i like to do from an initial standpoint is compare it to something way above or below its price point to give you a better RANGE of where you think it belongs or is it worth it. FOr instance its up to you to now decide if the Lauten mic is worth or sounds 20x better. Your reference for quality and value now has a LOW and HIGH spectrum as oppose to something that is just close to it.
@@MarcusTheMC Brotha if you have the extra $700 to invest in the Atlantis do it.. I promise you won't regret it! Nonetheless BOTH are great mics , so in reality you can't go wrong! The tlm 103 is a standard industry mic , and a lot of big name artist use it also.
Hey cool video! I really wonder how the Eden performs against a SE RNT or a Horch RM3J, since they all go in the same direction in terms of sound (eden forward) and are also pretty close in terms of price. And then a comparison between the best of these 3 vs. the final opponent, the Sony C800 G.
Nice Video! I'm about to buy a microphone for my home audio studio. Above all, it is to record my voice and acoustic guitar, at least for now. I have no way to try them, so I am debating whether to buy one of these three options. Thank you very much for your help.
Devvon, I could really use you or your guys input. I no longer have an Apollo AI. But I’m trying to find an emulation of the Avalon 737. UADs version is not Native so I can’t use it. I ended up getting the lauten audio eden and wow it sounds really good.
crazy the sp150 actually sounds good! definitely want a lauten mic in my locker though it sounds great!
Gentle setting makes me think a bit to a U47 sound and the forward kind of to a C800G

Honestly I upgraded from a TLM 103 to this mic and it's not even worth comparing.. It blows it out the water, but still both are great mics.
