The fact u picked up on Hange's reaction to Mikasa when she said "Ymir" is incredible. Not many reactors realize that hange read the notebook

The part of the wall that the Colossal and Armored broke through was the gate, not the wall itself. Colossal broke the outer gate and Armored broke the inner gate.
I hope they read this, the feel when your curiosity to things on aot and then got answered is really amazing

Armored Titan and collosal titan broke through gates, not walls.
Technically the armor titan broke through the wall. Collosal Titan went poof immediately. The ones getting through the gate are the smaller titans

@@fettstea No, the Colossal titan broke the Outer gate of Shinganshina, and the Armored titan broke the inner gate to wall Maria. They never broke any walls.

I love seeing Hange squad. Levi's squad was first season. Now we get to see Hange's squad in action. I wish we knew their names though. Definitely love seeing Moblito more.
The Armoured Titan and collosal specifically put a hole in the gateway not wall section.... The gate was always open and had no Titan skin... and Annies hardening was the only thing penetrated bcz diamond cuts diamond thing

I think you can watch the opening and endings (except opening for Season 3 part 2), there are spoilers/foreshadowing but trust me without context it''s almost impossible to figure out what's going on. It's more likely to confuse you then give you answers with the knowledge you have at the moment. You notice it when you watch it back how much information there is in all of them but only after see the full story. This show is very good at hiding things in plain sight that you only notice on a rewatch.
Damn people are just dumb, saying u shouldn't watch the opng song or end song. Like the ones saying not to watch are the ones actually spoiling it. Let them enjoy the show, the way u enjoyed. Putting restrictions like, don't watch this, don't watch that is kinds dumb.

I really enjoy your discussions. You pay attention to the little details. Just a quick note, but in Season One the Colossal Titan and the Armour Titan broke through a series of gates (outer + inner), not the physical wall itself. All the best for 2022 and beyond! :)
IMO the only intro that has any sort of spoiler is S3P2. All other seasons' intros are pretty much spoiler free.

As someone entirely unfamiliar with Norse mythology, I really appreciate the insights into it that the two of you provide! Having not considered what those things mean, despite having seen the series several times before, it adds a whole other level to the theorizing and whatnot that is super interesting.

armor titan didn't break the wall, but the gate.
If you guys remember the "Garrison Corp" who is in charge of the walls, said in episode 1, that the walls never need repairs, they dont wear, they dont break or crack, and they dont even know what material they were made of back then.
Also the times "walls" have been broken, it hasnt been walls, its been "gates" which are man made as said by the Garrison Corps, they built the Gates and the sections of wall above them.
I hadn’t watched any of the ova’s before finishing the whole anime and manga so the theories including Ilse’s Notebook are really interesting! I love you guys’ perspective.
But ilse's notebook is in the manga (unlike the rest of the OVAs)
@@tFighterPilot I only read some beginning chapters of the manga, switched to the anime, then finished the manga from where the anime left off in S4. Then I read the beginning of the “No Regrets” manga but didn’t have time to finish it. I didn’t even know Ilse’s Notebook or any of the OVA’s existed until after I finished AOT.

this might be the most confusing arc in the whole series, i remember when i first watched it made my head spin 360°, there are few hints and little details thrown here and there if u can catch on and link them u will be able to figure out to some extent whats going on, but be ready we only uncovered like 10% of the mysteries , alot is still to come

What I have always thought is, why is the 3D maneuver gear able to penetrate the wall? Can someone answer me?
There are various fan opinions about it.
Some assume, since we know the ODM gear uses a special gas, the hooks are most likely of similar special metal like their blades are and the hooks can always be seen with a very high velocity that it's enough power to hook into the walls.
Overall though, this is just one small point where you have to understand that it's a fictional device, it could never work in reallife.

If you want to avoid spoilers in the intro you should skip the season 3 part 2 intro for at least 6 episodes, the rest of the intros from here on are perfectly fine to watch.

The armored and colossal titan didn't exactly destroy the wall. They destroyed the gate section of the wall. Anyways, loved the reaction. Your reactions are kind of chill and relaxing.
I'm a manga reader, so I'm just going to tell you everything right now. The Scouts do stuff and say stuff. Also, stuff happens to them. There's conflict and there's resolution, yet somehow there's still enough story for another two seasons.

Did Reiner actually hear that titan speak to Conny if so Why did he say he didn't hear it?
Since I know they’re far enough ahead for this to not be spoiler for them, yes, Reiner probably heard it, but I’m guessing tried to convince Conny it didn’t happen, maybe because he didn’t want Conny thinking about the implications and/or telling anyone else that might be able to figure stuff out (like Hange)
