I just tested on myself, stumbled at first, but I think I got it nailed.

Hmm. This is something I have watched elder Chinese people in chi kung or qi gong sessions. Apart from the standing on your toes, it continues with the upper parts, like contracting your rear and some other exercises..
    I think..
Please illustrate me if you like, I might be wrong.
Velcro... Hmm what about putting real velcro there? That way I think you sense what movement causes your feet to separate... Good idea, master 🙏

That's right, you feel a lifting and contracting upwards. Head gets pulled up, pelvic floor lifted up.

@@AipingTaiChi and it's like breathing when you see and learn it since you are a Child! 😮 I understand this is difficult to put in words or write it down, words like chi or qi池琦😮🤔🤭 I don't quite like my phone
Like I always understood qi, chi, is basically correct breathing... Streeeetch, get air into that side 😃

This movement raising and lowering heels from the Ba Duan Jin Health Qigong routine is often done as a calf exercise pushing yourself up by lifting your heels. This is actually a great core exercise if you think about getting lifted up from the top of your head and engaging your core and pelvic floor. The exercise intensifies when you are mindful to keep your toes and heels together and your hands attached to the side of your thighs. It doesn't take a lot of physical exertion but the result is a very high quality core exercise. Hope that helps explain it a bit.
