when where you able to change the jewelry yourself? qi got mine done about a week ago. I have no more swelling pain or redness. the bar is to long and I already got a downsize at a shop and I don't want to go back. can I do it myself???
Where did u get the lip stud u have in. The original bar was to long and chipped my teeth

If you were to take off the piercing after a year do you have a scar ? Or a big whole where it's noticeable? Please help !!
What size is yours. How small of a stud can u get because I want a tiny stud nothing super huge and noticeable

Mine swelled up did yours sink in your lip I probably shouldnt have changed the ball to a bigger ball but I was shook that it would heal indeed of my mouth
When did you get it?
I had a philtrum piercing and had to retire it due to a bad placement. It was too freaking low and kept scraping my teeth. Luckily, it left no scarring whatsoever so now my lip got back to what it was before. I'm still looking for something to enhance my lips though. I also have a septum and I think the "septum+lip piercing" combo is very exotic ahahah I'd love to get this done because it seems likely to leave no scarring at all after you decide to take it out. I only have one question...maybe two. Does it scrape your teeth? Is kissing troublesome? Not that I kiss people on a regular basis but I don't want to scratch my little cousin's forehead or my friends' cheeks ahahaha My lips are not as plumpy as you but they're on the big side. It looks gorgeous on you by the way.

I had to make a quick UA-cam account to comment. But I'm going to start of with how amazing it looks on you. I just got mine pierced 2 weeks ago and I had a small issue in the beginning because I got a small diamond instead of the little ball you have. And it was to small it was sinking inside my lip, I went back to the piercer and he put in a bigger diamond which seemed to help now my only issue no is the flat back since its diagnal it seems to be sinking a bit from the back even though my lip doeant se to be swollen anymore. Did that happen to you as well is it normal ? 2nd I wear a lot of lipstick and he said I wouldn't be able to for about three months, how long did you wait before wearing lipstick again. I hope you can reply I would appreciate it tons! Thanks
I just got mine done two days ago and the guy who pierced mine (not super happy with him) but he put a small ball instead of a flat back and the ball is sinking in a bit on the inside of my lip too.! I hope this heals! He also did my septum at the same time and It looks and feels like he pierced it too high:(
U need to research the transfer of hiv/aids and hepatitis.... ur advice for the Ashley is great ...

Your video was awesome! And very resourceful & I was just wondering if it was fine to use a straight bar or like a labret stud; just as fine as a using a curved bar for the lip?
Is it uncomfortable to kiss with??
Did they use 14 or 16 gage needle? Do you have any problems with skin around it? I've heard others say that's a problem for them.

16 gauge, nope no problems, the flat back doesn't bother my teeth or gums, my skin is fine, no infection. During healing you have to be careful and drink with a straw and not eat spicy, citrusy foods or alcohol they can irritate or slow down healing

So where can one find "sea salt"? I just got my Ashley piercing today and I really want to take good care of it. Can you find it at Walmart or any grocery store?
You can get in at any grocery store. Places like fresh and easy, trader joes, and whole foods (organic type places) probably have it in better quality.
Love it!! Looks amazing on you! I have a question though... when you take it out, is the hole very noticeable? I am worried about scarring! I used to have my medusa pierced and took it out after 3 months and the scar is very small but since this is on the actual lip I am afraid it will end up with a more noticeable hole!

Goodness I love this! How long after did you start wearing lipstick and lipgloss again? Did you wait a year or a couple of months..weeks? Just curious because I'm a huge lipstick junkie lol

They're *HOT* when I was a teen I wanted two in my lower back dimples then all of a sudden I saw all these chicks with them I was pissed, I thought I came up with the idea haha needless to say I never got them from fear that they would snag on my clothing. But that's a fear that could apply to any piercing so I say go for it. Where would you get a dermal piercing?

I've heard people say that the piercing can hit your teeth. Is that true? I want to get it but that'll be a deal breaker if it does.
I got mine done yesterday and it has yet to hit my teeth! I can eat perfectly fine.
Is the site of your Ashley piercing noticeable without jewelry? I would love one but am curious about the amount of visibility of scarring when I no longer want to sport it.
How does it look without the piercing ?
+SunnieeB it's simple, I just go over and under the jewelry and the jewelry fits properly so no lipstick or gloss leaks through the hole, I did this after the swelling and when it was fully healed.

Thank you! I'm not a fan of single tongue piercings, mainly b/c I've been seeing them since I was a teen but as soon as I saw DOUBLE tongue piercings I took interest again. Weird huh? lol For me 2 is better than 1!

Thank you for making this video :) I've got my ashley piercing a week ago, it's SO swollen up I was scared... but I see it's a completely normal reaction ^^ and btw I didn't know about the sea salt, I was just using a lotion the piercer recommended... But sea salt is much better. Hope it heals fast as yours! xxx
it will heal fast, use straws and relax :) You'll be fine don't worry!
OH and if you need to put ice on it if it hurts too much put the ice in a wash cloth and let it sit for maybe a minute or two, not too long though.

How long after you got the piercing did the swelling mostly go down? I'm on day two and I have fuller lips and they look pretty much like yours did.
3-4 days when it was smaller (pic in video) but not completely back to normal that was the 4th day

no, even once it's healed you could get a clear plastic retainer but it would still be sort of visible.
I have a straight bar in myn it also have my vertical labret aswell :'D so wen I'm putting my piercings in it's like find the ryt whole for the right bar :'D x

Did the back of the piercing get lost in the swelling process
a little I had to constantly push it back and forth with my tongue so one side wouldn't get covered in flesh and possibly heal that way it was annoying but stopped not long after

I my piercer used clamps. We had technical difficulties so he just pinched it.
Its day 4 of my ashley piercing... I feel like my piercer needs to give me a bigger bar... it's a big as the picture you uploaded and the ball stud is going into my lip... did you get that too?

Mine is extremely swollen & the ball on the inside of my lip is going inside my lip :/ i got a bigger bar and the issue still continues

Have you noticed any sensitivity or damage to the teeth the back of the jewelry touches?
Surprisingly no, I expected the back even though it's flat to hit my teeth it's never happened and I ended up putting the long bar back in which I like better and still nothing. So the jewelry hasn't caused damage nor touched my teeth and I'm very happy about that
