Prayer is not just about asking God, it's a very scientific and practical way of setting goals and being consciously aware of those goals and also getting our thoughts together in a structured way. In the beginning of every year, I set a few goals for myself and i ask God to help me achieve the same, then I keep a tab on the progress through praying throughout the year. Asking God for achieving your goals and dreams is definitely not a bad thing.

This is what I have been doing since the time I can't recall.. am 21 rn and ever since I was a kid(as in 10-11) I don't remember ever asking anything materialistic to God ever.. no matter how many temples,holy places,dharm sthals I have been to.. i always ask for my parents health, enlighten me with wise thoughts and take care of themselves (idk why but feels right) I barely have asked for anything else at all.. nothing related to studies,exams,my future or anything.. and no am not rich or a topper,am an >avg middle class girl ,but am really grateful for whatever i already have😊❤️

I have always worshiped from my childhood but never ever asked him anything may be once in my previous 30 years… But now 2 months back…i sat down and asked god to please please help my 2 and half year old to talk…(he used to say few words) And started him to sit with his dad and me to listen to Hanuman chalisa… And he was so so obsessed over it that he was asking to listen to it again and again literally like for 7 times…he started saying OM….. Within २ वीक my som suddenly started speaking like 3 word sentences…. I cried cried cried infront of god that i dnt know how to thank him❤
