Evidently I may need GLASSES. I looked right at the Xbox 360 faceplate and said "FF12" when it clearly says 13 😂
Happens to the best of us 😜
It happens
In Milwaukee, you’ll get a game + CHEESE 🧀
The numerals in the title kinda curve around back and look like XII.
To add to this, you said something about show casing 360 face plates. I recently came across an Eternal Sonata face plate. Has some dude in a top hat with a feather in it. If you want it, its yours. i'm not too far away
I feel like you've been uploading more travel and pickups videos lately. Luckily for me, these are my favorite videos of yours. Spend wisely, now!
The world started opening up and I love traveling, so it works out. Glad you like the videos. 👍
@@MetalJesusRocks some of those sellers can be insane with their pricing.
@@MetalJesusRocks man i just love this videos man, keep it up
@@MetalJesusRocks have you ever came across the wii goosebumps horrorland with booklet before? I just did and the only other one I can find is for the ps2. Thank you in advance and I love your videos
@@MetalJesusRocks You know there’s a thing called a ATM right?
Glad to see Kelsey again, we need more videos from her channel!
I don't think she has a channel...
I’m from Wisconsin so it’s cool to see you game hunt in a place I’m familiar with. Great video as always!
Game hunting is like when you have to look hard for games. It's a game convention, not going to have to hunt very hard to find almost anything
Great coverage of the show- thanks for swinging by our room and checking out our Steel Battalion and Quake setups!
We were so stoked to have you there this year, the Midwest Gaming Classic is definitely one of our favorite shows =]
Glad to hear you had a solid time in Milwaukee and hope to see you at the show again next year!
(Also long live Lords of the Trident) \m/
Your room was BADASS! Wish I could have spent more time in there...
Was such an AWESOME setup!
Yeah about that- I was with a former military guy while at the show. You had some guy in a skirt & camouflaged jacket helping people learn Steel Battalion. Help is cool. A guy disrespecting the military by dressing like that- very uncool. Disrespectful. So- please don't do that again. & don't try to say it was a "kilt." Still bad. :(
Steel battalion is a video game dude, not the military. And camouflage jackets aren't military either haha.. I'm former infantry and could care less what people are wearing at a video game expo get real! Haha peace.
Thanks, Jason! Has a blast hanging out! Can’t wait for the next one and great vid!
You rock dude!
Had a blast on this trip. Sincerely, the "other guy in the thumbnail."
Q: Who is "the other guy in the thumbnail"?
A: Figure it out! 😉
Glad to see you all had a great time.
I thought that was you, ADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!! Looks like ye had a blast!
Cool checkmark
@@twerkfromhome Thanks?
I can understand the cash only, I've been a vendor for PRGE.
1. People who buy through Square, PayPal, Venmo, etc can later, after the purchase call the customer service departments and say it was a fraudulent charge thus they get there money back and the game.
2. Cash is King.
3. With the laws changing around the usage of said online forms of payment taxes are a pain the butt.
4. Getting a Wi fi signal in those convention centers can be extremely difficult.
Makes sense. 👍
"That guy with the prototypes in his backpack at his booth" was actually Josh of J Gaming inside of The Marketplace in Niles MI. He didn't have a booth this year hence the backpack but it was at my booth. Those boxed intellivision games under the prototypes were ones I've collected over the years. It was great seeing you and the crew again at the show! We will be at Power up con in South Bend, IN in late August both with our own booths though. And at corgs con in Columbus OH tomorrow. That $10k MK cart though xD
I cant get enough of these travel videos. Very well put together, perfect.
Wow, thank you!
@@MetalJesusRocks you're the best mj. It would've taken a long time to put this together and we all appreciate it a lot. Still my favourite youtube channel after all these years
Great seeing you at MGC! Hope you had a great trip!
I did!
This so great! I’m from Wisconsin(spent 18 years growing up there) and I never knew this expo existed. Now I know something new I can do when I go to visit. Awesome content!
Easily one of my favorite expos. Can't wait for MGC 2023.
Hell yeah!
I can't wait for MGC 2033 when they theme it after Metro 2033. Only issue that may come up is a vendors only accepting money bullets.
Mask off
you folks have so much fun it’s hard to believe it’s business for you alongside pleasure
Metal Jesus And Apostle John At The Expo
As a book collector and not a game collector I found it funny when he called the “sprayed edges” the “spine”. Great pickups, I love living vicariously through your channel.
Your travel videos are by far your best, can't wait to watch this one!
Glad you like them!
Man... This videos really get me excited to travel to the USA just to visit this kind of expos. Greetings from Mexico, Metal Jesus 🤘🏻
Love the indirect promos you do for local places and unique booths.
Glad you did a video showcasing our city. Happy so many people and UA-camrs came to MGC this year and hope they all had a good time. Sorry about the weather. This week it's been almost 90, which is abnormal.
The weather was cracking me up. Freezing one day, monsoon rain the next!! LOL All good my friend. Had a fantastic time.
@@MetalJesusRocks yep, typical of the Great Lakes region and our so called Temperate climate lol
and it just started storming here just as I typed this
Its soo awesome to see people visiting my State and City of Milwaukee and love it. Hope you come back sometime!
The world needs more retro magazines like Mega Visions at 22:44! Look at that gem!
Glad you had a great time! It was exciting to be able to finally meet you, John Riggs, John Hancock and everybody else that was on that UA-camr panel.
How cool is it going to these awesome places to find hidden video game gems!
Hey Metal Jesus! I'm the guy who gave you the mix of CD singles (the Iron Maiden, Prong, etc). I'm just glad I found someone who appreciates those rare singles.
Thanks so much Stefan! That was a nice surprise. I really appreciate it 🤘
@@MetalJesusRocks Honestly, I'm just so happy it didn't end up in the trash. They were rescued promo CDs that a friend saved for me. Seeing them moving on to a responsible home is awesome. I hope you like that Pac-Man candy tin I gave you as well.
Absolutely love these travel videos! So cool to see not only the game hunting portion of things but also the vacation side of it too.
Such a cool and mellow dude I love watching your videos, with my favourites being the pickups you do with Radical Reggie. Please keep them coming as I rely on your recommendations to grow my collection.
Thanks! Will do!
Just collect things you enjoy
@@Blernster I collect things I enjoy which collector doesn't?
It's nice to see Kelsey again. It's been along time since she was on your channel!
I know!!
Yeah, I wasn’t sure she was coming back. Nice to see.
it’s both a blessing and a curse: blessing as it might mean that her store needs her hard work and a curse as it might mean she has to constantly work with little chance for time for other things like guest spots on MJR
at least she was able to be seen, and she knows we love seeing her
The Video Game History Foundation is rocking along
Fun to watch one of your travel/pickup videos from my stomping grounds this time around! Again was super cool to meet ya in person and great coverage of the Classic =] thanks for sharing!
\m/
Never visted the USA and your videos are a very nice way to have glimpses of the country. The cherry on the pie is the fact that your videos are gaming tours ! Thx a lot :)
These expo videos are fantastic. Keep them coming.
Looks like a lot of fun dude - good times and pickups! 🤟
The Vectrex Multi-Cart guy is Sean Kelly, one of the three National Videogame Museum co-founders.
I really like when you show the city and talk about it! It's really cool to see and meet new cities and places. Thanks! Great video!
It was great hanging with you at the show and checking out MGC for the first time.
I just missed running into you and the crew that weekend. But I’ll for sure catch ya at the next con! Great video as always 👍
The rain was nuts that weekend! I live about 50 miles north and drove through that monsoon. Glad you enjoyed the show! I think I’ve been going for at least 12 years, from the humble Nicolet High School, the the olympia, Sheraton in Brookfield and now the Wisconsin Center. Always a blast!
Glad you enjoyed your first trip to Wisconsin and the MGC! My son and I were very excited to have met you and briefly chat about retro gaming. Hope you make it back next year! Cheers.
Man I hate When these videos end. Great content as usual. You're definitely Living the life sir.
Dang, I was just talking to my wife about this expo, we only live a couple states away so I was telling her I want to go to this sometime soon. I should have gone this year! Hopefully you will be back and we could run into you in the future. Rock on, MJR!
So funny to hear “couple of states away”. Where I live, the next state is at least 3 hours away. To get two states away, you’re talking at least 10 hours (if not more).
@@leeartlee915 dude's gotta be from the midwest, because we're notorious for thinking a 15 hour road trip is a cake walk. It's more effort to make the drive, but timewise it's comparable to taking a flight.
@@NerdConquistador I mean, in my younger days I use to drive 9 hours one way just to go party in San Francisco… but those days are far behind me.
@@leeartlee915 and ten hours isn't bad at all for a road trip.
@@Fast_Travel_Gamer I didn’t think so when I was 19. I sure as hell do now. Not sure how old you are but when you get passed 30 (at least for me) it starts being harder and harder to power through long drives. You gotta get out, rest and stretch. It’s a whole ordeal.
I’m really enjoying these travel videos! Thanks for giving us a look into all these new places
Welcome to Wisconsin always crazy weather lol last week it was 40 this week its in the 80s lol
Damn, I wished I would’ve gone, I’m in the area and I’ve been watching you for like 8 years now
theres only one thing to know about milwaukee jason, the greek freak, fear the dear, were coming!!!!
Love these travel/pickup videos. You're living the dream, my friend!!!
Awesome video glad you got to check out Milwaukee and some local spots. Up down is a such a good time. Funny enough we started hitting 80/90 degrees the week after you left. Midwest weather is basically randomized lol.
Actually, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land." - Alice Cooper
Does this guy know how to party or what?!
I travel the world searching out different buffets so I can sneak corndogs into them. I carry with me 6 corndogs stuffed away in my jackey pockets. I will then sneak them into the fried food sections of the buffet. It then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the buffet enjoying my corndogs. They think they are part of the buffet. (;
Dude! This is your best video to date. Ok, I’m a little biased as a midwesterner, but way to explore this city and really capture the essence of Milwaukee. Thanks!
Hey man! It was a pleasure to meet you over that weekend! I'm also the guy that built the Tiger Boy Advance in the Console Modding room and want to thank you for including that in this vid! It was such an awesome weekend all around!
That Tiger Boy Advance was seriously cool!! Love it 😍
Dare we say, Milwaukee is a hidden gem???
Milwaukee is the shit, dude
MJR out here, causing the value of Milwaukee to go up.
Thank you for everything you do. I know it isn't much but youtubers like you cheer me up when I am feeling down. I hope all is well in your life. Thank you.
Make sure to visit the cheese castle near Milwaukee and get some cheese curds
I had some cheese curds...and some killer German sausages, potato salad, etc... Great food for sure.
These are my favorite videos, I love watching people Game hunt and going to Cons / Gaming Events. Keep it coming!
Looks like so much fun, glad you had such a great time. thanks for sharing your trip with all us Metal Jesus
Thank you so much for shouting out the new Rush pinball machine! I haven’t found many people talking about it and it was good to see more upclose footage! I am a huge Rush fan and really want it.
Oh, wow, I've actually been living here my entire life and it's always kinda strange seeing new faces come visit. Glad to see you had a good time :)
(There's actually some pretty cool stuff in Milwaukee (and Wisconsin as a whole), but you'll get a vary different experience depending on what time of year it is, and some aren't very well known, so each visit could be pretty different.)
16:00 GTA6:Metal Jesus Rocks Edition😆
It's wild to see you in my city, and recognizing all the spots you're going. I'm so glad you liked it. I've lived in Milwaukee my whole life, and I just love this city.
These videos are my favorite . I enjoyed every second !! Thanks for this 🤟
I love these travel videos! Thanks so much for sharing 🤘🏼
Awesome video, man! Always love your travel videos 😎
Thanks a ton!
Awesome tour! Amazing! Thanks for nice sharing! Have a lovely new week! 👍👏
No video last week, but an early drop this week. Glad your okay and back.
I shipped my pickups back home to Seattle...but they got stuck halfway, which is why this video took a little longer than normal. 👍
@@MetalJesusRocks it's alright. It wasn't a normal Friday with your video. Keep up the great work
04:18 the moment MJR just scrolled over a Bathory vinyl. :D my heart breaks
Nice catch. I had an original Under the sign of Black Mark back in 1992. It was givin to me with a Profanatica LP. awesome to see a fan here🤘
I love your travel videos
Makes me feel like I’m back there
Only been to the US once back in 2007
Dude, the LAN for Steel Battalion was so fucking cool to see!!! I wish Capcom would bring it back, it would pretty well imo.
Excited to finally see the group photo from the UA-cam panel. Got a nice front row seat for that.
Great video MJR! As a Boston fan, I’m little self-conscious to admit that I wanted to go to some of these Milwaukee stores.
Thanks a lot for coming, enjoyed the panel. Hope to see you again next year.
Wow!
Such amazing vistas in...Milwaukee.
And the games and records look good too!
Another great travel video, showcasing the location and the video game goodies. Love these videos.
Glad you like them!
For being my first convention I had such a blast and was able to find a number of games that I had been looking out for. I'm so glad I was able go after finding out about the Midwest Gaming Classic and making some last minute plans since its not too far from me. Looking forward to MGC 2023!
Great video! I really enjoy when you do these trips 👍🏻
i always love your travel videos MJ; thanks for taking all of us on the trip with you.
One look at the thumbnail and you already know this video is going to be 🔥🔥🔥‼️🤘💯
I love these videos thank you for the vinyl and game store discovery appreciate the travel and hard work you do.
Metal Jesus Rocks !!!!
That Voivod record you showed in 3:40 is pretty sick, great record imo. Good content as always.
Man so good vibes and rad moments to treasure. Keep rocking!
Glad to have you visit our state. My wife and I have gone to Midwest Gaming Classic for years. We've only visited Seattle once in early 2019, but had a great time there. It's definitely colder and wetter here in Wisconsin, heheh
Awesome, glad you scored some more things for the collection...🤘🏼💯✔️
Great video Jesus, that looks like a pretty cool expo. Love your content keep em coming 🤘
Thanks! Will do!
Man, I'm so jealous of your life sometimes! lol.....Love these videos! I follow around 100 or so channels on UA-cam, and your pick-ups/game hunting videos are the only ones that I save for when I can just sit down at my computer and fully soak it all in. I just love seeing those expos and gaming stores and awesome finds....great stuff dude! cheers!
You always deliver the goods! Love this stuff!
Great to meet you! Heading out your way on tour next April, see you in Seattle! :)
Dang John Riggs looking like Devin Townsend when Strapping Young Ladd was still around. 🎸
6:46 I love the “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” reference there. ❤️
I like that we get a little tour of Milwaukee too.
Love your road trip videos !
Glad you like them!
Hahahah. Oh my gosh I knew you were filming the bobby variant cart but I didn't think you would put it in the thumbnail! I love this too much... Thanks for that!
Totally off topic tidbit.
If you're ever back in Milwaukee, and looking for a good brewery tour, then take a look at Lakefront Brewery. They bought the beer bottling line from the opening sequence to Laverne & Shirley and use it to this day. Thought it was interesting that you referenced the show. Ope, almost forgot the bottling line is also featured in Wayne's World. And there you have it, a bit of hyer-localization for ya.
Now make sure you tells your folks I says Hi and watch out for deer.
Had the pleasure to meet Riggs in person at the previous midwest show. Really wish I could've made this one to meet you and the rest of the crew. All of you all are awesome. Really enjoy your videos and have made many purchases on your recommendations.
2:55 that's actually a very cool 3rd person perspective. I expect some ninjas jumping out of the shelves any moment
Hell yeah! Been missing these travel videos! Keep up the great work.
This looked like a really fun adventure, thank you for sharing. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Watching this made me realize two things:
#1: MJR and his crew are synonymous to top-quality YT entertainment. No matter how many channels i’ve tried to date, MJR videos are always my go-to videos ;)
#2: I live in central Europe and seeing all those expos in the U.S. makes me super envious. 3 floors of gamer geekiness overload in Milwaukee? Can only dream about that. Over here, we’re super lucky to have one half-sized floor of a mini expo :)
All you happy folks in the MJR crew, make sure you enjoy your great geeky moments with friends and have a nice life :)
That looked like a lot of fun! I would love to go to a retro gaming expo myself some day. I never been to Millwakie Wisconsin. I do want to travel to more states myself in the future.
Awesome meeting the Seattle gaming crew briefly. Pretty cool seeing your perspective of Milwaukee from someone who lives here. Can't wait for my next Seattle trip because that is definitely my favorite city in the US. Also if you liked the man jammin, thats the Barron of Madison's own Lords of the Trident. Looks like you got to meet my mentor Ty, real cool dude.
WOW! Happy days and Fonzie statue.. Arcade Game Hall.. those things bring me back in time to the childhood... you took almost 40 years away. World smallest N64 was nice one! Great to see again travelling and Expo life!
Good video, looks like you had a brilliant time and you picked up some awesome stuff.
omg - when i was a kid, my cousin had a Vectrex... haven't seen much about them at all in like 30 years. amazing to see this guy producing new overlays!
13:18 - YES! Every once in a while I look up Steel Battlion videos just to see people play the controller and see if people make mods for it on Space Sims...just to know there are LAN partys of the game warms the heart
