I will say, I miss the east of emptying of my v11 vs. that of the Shark Vertex Pro. I empty my stick vacuums A LOT. Another reason why I like the outsize for my use case. Larger capacity and wider cleaning path.
I bought a shark vertex pro. I was a die hard dyson head for years. Went through 2 dc45’s back in the day and most recently a v11 torque drive which I loved. The trigger on it went out after only 3 years. For a $750-$800 vacuum I want it to last at least 3.5/4 years. All for a stupid switch. 🤷🏻♂️I would have bought one of these had it not been for my failed v11 torque drive. It left a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth. So I decided to see what the competition has to offer. And so far, dollar to sweeping capability in my use case, your not beating the shark for now. Time will tell how the shark vertex pro w 2 batteries and charging dock lasts me. I like this vacuum too but at $949 for something that may only last me barely 3 years? No thanks dyson. 😐. Edit: I have 2 golden retriever dog kids that shed 24/7/365 like nobody’s business. All day every day. I literally use my stick vaccum every day.
I threw my shark vertex pro in the trash after 2 months of owning it. Worst 300 dollars wasted in my life. The thing had no suction, any amount of debris clogged the intake at the head and got loged inside the boom and in the hose where it bends to fold. I had to make a tool specifically to de-clog it anytime a small piece of debris or any amount of small cardboard pieces got stuck in it. Got tired of it and threw it away and bought a dyson refurb v8 absolute for 200 bucks off dyson official on ebay. Haven't looked back.
Also, I have 2 kids and 2 dogs. The puppy has been a havoc on my house by chewing up the toys or grabbing any trash out of a can or bringing in sticks and chewing them inside under furniture. If you have no kids and the dogs are older, I'm sure the shark is fine, but in my case, time is money, and I didn't have time to de-clog it every day.
Imagine if they added that anti hair wrap on the v15s onto the XL brush roll of the outsize. I see that u don't deal with hair wrap because of the large diameter of the brush roll which in itself resists hair wrapping around it. But the addition of the anti hair wrap would further make it almost impossible for hair wrapping
If it could potentially last me 5 years for $950 I’d say it is worth it 100%. For me, unfortunately I am not convinced it will last 5 years based on my experience w the v11 torque drive. So will se how the shark vertex pro holds up now…
How were yoy using it? Because I brought my used v10 motorhead back in 2020 and it's dropped many tines n has landed hard on our tile floor - multiple hard hits. Some of the cyclones have cracked because of the hits so I can't fault the build quality. In fact, it's superb considering all that and it's still running strong and healthy. Long running times. Original battery
whats the difference between the 3 models being the outsize absolute, outsize plus(+), and outsize absolute plus(+)??? i dont even see the absolute+ version of the outsize being openly sold on the site anymore... and there is a page but its just for a bunch of parts... is that it? its not actually a whole product sold alone? its part sold seperately that you add on?
These are nice and fancy but not worth it I bought an old vintage Kirby built in 1986 for 75 dollars and I guarantee that it cleans better than this any day and is a much better deep cleaner these are great for hard floors and surface pickup but not for deep down cleaning the brush on the vintage Kirby is very soft so I also use it on my hard floors

I have the outsize as well and its on its way to its second year, also dyson warranty usually covers the main problems
