I usually organize them by series. I have my top shelf as read signed books. So really they are by series and read then series and unread
When you cleared out your bookshelves to reorganize, you could have moved the empty shelves to get the copy of the lightning thief😂😂 but this really is a cool fun fact hahah

Colour coding - Love it! But what would stress me out is when you get to a series that have different colours covers, what do you do then, separate or just ignore the colour coding. I need to keep the series together. AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Your shelves are gorgeous! I love the fact that they're in a corner so they form a little nook, and also that chair looks so comfy. I organize my books by category, and my categories are: separating out my fave authors (rick riordan, john flanagan, and cornelia funke) stand alones, series I own all the books from, series I don't own all the books from, poetry, plays, classics, comics/graphic novels, anthologies, foreign language editions, dover thrift editions, books on writing, my star wars novelizations, and then anything that doesn't fit in the other categories.
Love your bookshelves ! I organize them first by author and then by genre, my favorites authors have a all shelf for theirs books !

awe i feel bad for the lil lightning thief. it looks so sad back there😂and my organization method is a lil odd I guess, the top half of my shelves are the 'pretty half' and they're arranged by color and stuff but when I get new books I just cram them into the lower half of my shelves which are just so mismatched and disarranged😂

I have one rainbow shelf where all types of books are in rainbow order. Then i have another shelf where all my complete series go
I love bookshelf tours and reorganizations so much and I absolutely loved this.
As for how I organize - by genre, by series and sometimes by certain categories; like holiday books or children's books, or something like that. I love rainbow in principle, but I know that in practice it wouldn't work for me. I've done other things in the past like by author, but I didn't like that as much. And for classics I also organize them by time period/publication date (roughly). So I'm kind of all over the place, but in a way that makes sense to me haha.
I know Narnia is an old book and one of the first fantasy worlds so the writing style is different, but the stories are so cool and creative! I hope you have seen the movies at least. If I recommend reading one, it’s ‘The silver chair’ so once you’ve seen the movies, read it as it’s a continuation and the adventure was very well done !

Oh my god, I was eagerly waiting for this one
I haven't gotten to Love & Olives yet but it's the third companion novel in a series and I loved the other two! The first is in Italy and the other is based in Ireland
I organize my shelves by author and within author series. I don't really have a reason other than that's how my dad does his, so it's what makes the most sense to me. I have a tall, narrow shelf, so the top shelf is basically everything from middle grade up that isn't by Rick Riordan, the second and third shelves are all my Rick Riordan books (all five series, and most of the short story/companion books), and the fourth shelf is all my kids' books/comic books that I still like to keep. The bottom two shelves are empty and currently hold books that I'm borrowing from friends or the library, and my books for school.

I organize my books by genre (SFF vs classics vs non-fiction, etc.), then by author, then by height. 🙂

I really appreciate the beauty of the teal/blue shelves since those are my favorite colors too. My books are also arranged due to colors. I realized I don't have purple spine books because most of them are LGBT books, which aren't what I read because they're all aimed at a younger audience. I did get The Love Curse of Melody McIntyre by Robin Talley, in a LitJoy YA crate and it does read like it was meant for 13 year olds.
You should definitely keep going on Narnia, I really really love that series

It’s so pretty but it would drive me crazy not to have all the series together. I organize by ya, adult, middle grade, religious fiction and non-fiction. Than is by authors last name. If I have more than one book by the author it’s is series order and/or alphabetical order of the book name. Does that make since? Lol
