I feel like you shouldn't have to give an explanation beyond "I really like reading books" as a reason to have so many books. I grew up with my dad having 1400+ books and whenever someone asked why he always said "I like books" and that was enough.
Not even reading, as there isnt necessarily a reason to keep books rather than get rid of them after reading or borrow from the library just because you read. Some people just like having pretty books, even if they dont read them. I like keeping books because they remind me of the memories of having read them, even though I almost never reread. Just simply WANTING something should be a good enough reason for having it, if you can afford it and it isnt harming anyone.

I feel like Belle from Beauty and the Beast when she walks into the library in the Palace when I see them. In awe, lost in all the possibilities, and places you can travel. If technology ever goes out book lovers will never be bored.

The dedication to pull out every single book, girl, respect. I did notice you skipped your Harry Potter shelf. While I do understand (no way do I agree with whatever she believes) it makes me a little sad people are forced to hide their love for something that made them fall in love with reading.
Honestly, it bugs me so much, I am not afraid to say that I love harry potter and I don't mind JK Rowling. When people just slam it or do stuff like missing out the shelf as Hailey did It really frustrates me

Hi! What I do to keep track with which books I have read and which I haven't, I put little round silver sticker on the spines of the ones I haven't read, and once im done with the book I remove them! It helps me a lot to have a visual representation of my tbr on my shelves. Hope this helps xx
I love like verything has its place and then there is this random collection on the classics shelf :) that what I did between my fantasy and thriller sections, I have there a poetry collection, 3 memoirs, a graphic novel and non fiction book, I just dont have enough of each to gibe them their own spot so for now they all have to be friends :D

You have so many books on my wish liiiiiiist. But I do have the Six of Crows (on my TBR) and the Shatter me Series. And the Selection. And my sister has stolen my “Complete a works of William Shakespeare. Sadness.
