As someone who plays, someone who constantly looks for covers. This is my far my favorite cover yet. When bands make covers it's either A to copy something popular or B to give tribute to your influencers. To copy the words but not the instrumentals means you liked the poetry but to follow the instruments and vocals means the song was mastered when it was released. And to be fair, how else would you cover this song? It's about a man being charged and executed, likely a freedom fighter, and at first sad that time is running up yet in the end embraced death and machine head did exactly that, they played note by note with maiden in the beginning but the rage machine head brings is brought out and then the acceptance. It's my favorite cover to date and I cover songs daily 🤟
Bands that Follow will always cover songs from the bands that heavily influenced Them......., covering Iron Maiden songs is always a thrill for them. One cool thing about This Cover by Machine Head is that it became part of a Tribute to Maiden Album called "Maiden Heaven" , released by Kerrang in 2008 and Featured Among others, Metallica( Remember Tomorrow), Dream Theater( To Tame A Land), Avenged Sevenfold( Flash Of The Blade), Coheed & Cambria( The Trooper), DevilDriver( Wasted Years), Madina Lake ( Caught Somewhere In Time) and Others....Hordes of Bands Iron Maiden has Heavily Influenced Through The Years...., Up The Irons!!!!!
By far the best maiden cover that exists. Possibly one of the best covers period. Holy diver by killswitch is up there. But the vocals on this are serene
You should do kill thy enemies by machine head or now we die. There's a ton of songs you could do. Also your behind on the new metallica songs! Haven't even done the best from hardwired yet. Sickening
I love his vocals just like Sebastian Bach too. Not the same as Bruce but they do have beautiful clean vocals and great fry when needed. Sebastian bachs version of children of the damned is one I like. It's always good to hear the songs you like done differently.
The vocals on this song are better than the original to me. They play it in c# standard and it really really really sits well in that tuning. It feels like where the song was meant to be.
One of the best covers ever

Machine Head’s cover of the guitar solo is so sick that it should be on the World Health Organization’s watch list.

Metallicas remember tomorrow is my fave maiden cover
The bc rich warlock he plays in the video is one of the cooler axes I've seen. Transparent red..

I hope you guys check some new Metallica like “Room of Mirrors” , “ Too far gone” and “Inamorata” longest song they ever released!!!
Inamorata is the best song they have written in this century imo.

Stick with an original is always the best 👍
They already reacted to the original version and gave it a less-than-favorable score (for some bloody reason).
React to machine head clenching the fists of dissent
Will they ever do Invaders or Gangland?? lol
Cradle Of Filth's cover of this song is way better. Nah... it's just faster :) Machine Head did a good job.
I give up on machine head
I gave up on them after they wrote that song about Phil Anselmo.
