I love this series. I love anything Tarzan, the books, the comics, the old films, the live action movies like Lord Graystoke, the Disney film, and even that CGI movie.
So... The movie made of 3 episodes of a show isn't worthy when compared to the full show. No surprise there. The show is awesome, and the movie just takes 3 random episodes, and not even 3 of the best or more epic.
I would argue that the lava surfing episode is one of the most epic hahaha At least (if you can get the show somehow) you get season 2 which has the episodes featured in the movie which just makes the show better
The first story with Jane’s friends was okay though I find it hard to believe these women would go into an uncharted jungle. The last two stories were awful. I could not believe they would have Tarzan lava surfing. And at one point Tarzan was on Jane and her father’s back. That ruined it for me. Also how could Tarzan hold a plane with his feet. They are acting like Tarzan is super man. He has no super powers 🤦🏼♀️
I know. That lava surfing is the most insane thing I've seen and it's just so stupid, that I kind of like it hahahaha Yeah Tarzan doesn't have super powers but he is strong! BUUUUUUTTTTT Even then he would have fallen off that plane, it's a show so I can forgive it a little but it's still not as dumb as lava surfing.
@@Lytane at least it was a pretty cool action scene in its own right and we could say that , regardless of the questionable logic, it was just a matter of luck for a certain rock, i guess, in other words, technically this movie is worth watching, but at least for most likely the fans of the franchise, and at least, it was very sweet showing how Jane and TARZAN were celebrated at the end as a fitting conclusion to the series, plus with a nice song finale provided by non other than MANDI MOORE, right?
To be honest, I think the movie (Tarzan & Jane) was okay. I just wish that they picked better episodes because in my opinion, all those episodes were just kinda boring.
The movie does everything that it needs to do but I personally HATE clip show movies. It's just lazy. If anything, I'm glad they DIDN'T take better episodes because then it would have made the TV show worse. Also that Volcano was the most exciting part of the movie, did you find it boring!?

But those particular episodes they picked didn’t have the BEST animation. I know the episodes in the show didn’t have the best animation either, but it didn’t look too bad. Yeah the animation between the clips isn't good and the first clip is clearly from the pilot of the show as it's far different from the rest of the series. If reality-warping powers were real then I would change queen La’s fate in the return of La from Disney’s Legend of Tarzan tv series. The reason I’m saying this is because she was my favorite villain in the series and I really wish they would have given her more screen time and episodes in the series. I was really disappointed how things turned out in that episode, especially the part where La had no choice but to transfer her spirit into a rat when the statue warriors attacked her because they thought she was Tarzan after La took over Tarzan’s body and got captured by Usula and I really think that was unfair. In my opinion, they could have done better. Here’s what should have happened In Return of La. After La takes over Jane’s body, returns to Opar, reclaims her staff, and rebuilds Opar, she knows that she can not stay in Jane’s body. Not just because Jane’s body is weak and useless but Tarzan would kill her and himself due to his love for Jane. She realizes that she needs her body back but her magic staff doesn’t have the power to do it. So she would travel to a secret magical chamber that’s underneath Opar. La created this chamber many years ago before she enslaved the leopard men. She created it by using all the forbidden Waziri magic. It’s dark magic powers are far more powerful than La’s staff powers and its magic can even bring back anyone from the dead. La kept it a secret even from the leopard men. The only way for it to work is by commanding it with La’s magic staff. La would use the magic chamber to create a new faster, stronger, younger and more powerful body since she believes her old one was too weak. Her new body would be even bigger and muscular than Tarzan’s body. She would then tell the chamber to immortalize her new body. She also realizes that if Tarzan takes her staff and destroys it again her new body will be destroyed and she’ll be a spirit again. So she commands the magic chamber to transfer all her magic powers of her staff into her new body along with all the dark magic powers the magic chamber has. The chamber would even give La new abilities as well. Once her new body is created and her staff’s powers along with the chamber’s powers are transferred into it, her staff breaks and turns to dust. Her spirit leaves Jane’s body and goes into her new body. Her spirit and her new body magically fuse into one. La’s life is completely restored. Not only does she have the magic powers of her staff but she also has the powers and abilities of the magic chamber. For example she has the ability of any type of animal that she can use while in her human form. For example leopard speed and jump. She has super strength, super agility, enhanced senses, and can also turn into a giant. She can even have her body parts turn into animal body parts, for example, leopard claws and multiple octopus arms that resembles the monster octopus arms from leopard men rebellion only these arms are red not green, and can transform into any full animal as well. She would also have elemental powers that would allow her to shoot any elemental out of her hands and transform her body into any elemental and control any elemental. La would even have healing abilities that would allow her to survive any injury that would maim or kill a normal human being. Her new body would almost look like her old one except bigger, muscular, younger, her hair would be black instead of white and her eyes would be red instead of cyan. Tarzan fights La but he is no match for her due to her new powers and abilities. So the episode would end with Usula distracting La long enough for Tarzan, and Jane to escape but Usula pays the ultimate price, La turns him into him into a rat and traps him in a small cage. La trains her new body to prepare for her next encounter with Tarzan and creates an army of leopard men statue warriors that look like the leopard men and they are completely under her control to guard Opar. These warriors are indestructible, the only way to destroy them is if Queen La destroys them herself or if Tarzan kills La. In the middle of the episode La would use her magic to create a magical crystal ball that will allow her to see and hear everything in the jungle including Tarzan. Here’s what La would say before the episode would end. “ Run and hide all you want Tarzan but it will do you no good. For as you can see the queen of Opar is back and more powerful than ever." Also, Renard Dumont would not appear in this episode where he helps La(in Jane's body) get to Opar because I don’t see him well fit to be in this episode, and La while in Jane’s body wouldn’t try to ask Tarzan for help to get to Opar because that would draw too much suspicion for Tarzan. Instead after La (in Jane’s body) fails to can’t climb up the cliff, she decides to take a different way to Opar which would be following the river that was at the bottom of the waterfall of Opar that flows throughout the jungle. La would find the river and she would make it safely to Opar. This is how the episode should have happened and there might be a way to make this real. If Ron Mallett can invent a time machine I’ll go back in time and go to the studio that made the Legend of Tarzan series and show them this idea with my iPad. I’m sure they’ll listen to me and love this idea. For those of you who don’t know who Queen La is in Disney Legend of Tarzan. Though you wrote 4 comments, I'll reply to the bunch here (and sorry for the late reply!) I'm glad you love the series! It's hard to find many people that even know about this show! I love how the show expands upon the movie and in many ways is better for it. As for the whole Frozen Connection, while it can't really happen due to the time periods, Tarzan is set in the early 1900's and Frozen is long before that, it's a REALLY fun thing to think about. The theory is even bigger than just Tarzan being Elsa's brother, as people say when the ship sunk that Ariel from the Little Mermaid swims through it in her movie near the start. Also the reason for the trip was to go to Rapunzel's coronation connecting in THAT movie as well. Personally I love the Beauty and the Beast connections instead. There's another theory that Jane is a decedent of Belle. That's why she has Mrs. Potts and a Yellow colour theme. She's from Britain which is only a stones throw from France which would be reasonable to say someone in the family moved over there. The love of inventions, study and science is also a "Belle" trait so who knows, maybe they are related! Tell me what you think about it

Frozen 2 retconned the connection but didn't neessarily debunk it. Look parents ship did sank but paretns themselves became lost at sea where they can easily find another ship adn end up in africa. Also that new ship they found later maybe exactly that ship ariel searches. (plus in frozen 2 there is little mermaid book confirming that frozen 1 events take place in early 1860s or late 1870s while frozen 2 takes place 3 years later. As for rapunzel, her mother arianna, her aunt willow and agnarr may be siblings. Also if tarzan were to be northuldra, I mean just imagine if that were the case, that may explain his inhuman skills in acrobatics (i mean have you seen son of man song where he literally bends jungle to his will) which in real world would be impossible for normal human. Plus you gotta admit two worlds one family theme would go well for that connection About jane being belle's descendant, its quite possible that french revolution moved them somewhere else where her mom came from belle and married the weselton duke's son Porter and there we have insane family tree which may even connect to big hero 6

They have such rich and amazing worlds that feel timeless that can easily connect to other movies. The Pixar theory is also another one that's REALLY fun to dive into and it continues to grow whenever a new movie comes out. I still don't think that the two timelines from Frozen and Tarzan quite sync up. Just going with the movies Tarzan is born like 20 years after the parents "die" I'm more inclined to think that the Little Mermaid book is more of an easter egg. But to be fair it really doesn't matter. I wonder what other movies we can pull into this theory? Lion King can go anywhere, there' no humans so that's easy. Aladdin is theorised to be in a post apocalyptic future which explains Genies references. Hmmm It's hard to pull in other big films in a significant way

Also not 20 years but 15 years. lion king also references events from Princess and frog, flies are star timon said. Also evangeline is blue fairy from pinocchio. She also created neverland where hook is, a pirate who murdered athena mother of ariel and here we are back to little mermaid

Yeah it is weaker, and the worst part is that the series is fantastic but three of the episodes are locked in this movie so you have to watch it if you want the full TV show experience.
