Does anybody knows how the sizing is for women?, I can't find a single video to find that out :(. I'm usually a size 7.5 in Nike, should I go down half a size?
That beef roll stitching is what they call mocassin stitch. That's why some boots especially American ones are called moc-toe. I believe it's a native American related and you could see much in American boat shoes, loafers and lace up boots.
This is what I love seeing, random people commenting and dropping knowledge. Thanks for the info, always down to learn from the community members as well 🙏
Still not apart of the penny loafers gang yet, but im trying to replicate the style my grandfather's had in the 60s earlier 70s lol found separate photos of my grandfather's( who both passed when my parents were children) and the both were rocking penny loafers. The one photo my one grandfather had this exact color way and the other photo my other grandfather had tassel loafers. And both of their styles in general looked amazing.
Keyword in this comment is “yet.” I’m all for grabbing inspiration from loved ones! I think it’s much more meaningful to say your style is a representation of past loved ones as opposed to saying you saw “celebrity x” wearing them. Thank you for sharing this story! Out of the 2 which would you get first? 🤔
@@MarkReyesCayabyab appreciate the reply and i see you rocking the shirt from the thrift video lol. Im definitely considering getting both at the same time, imma wait till the holidays season probably by the tassel loafers for myself on my birthday and im letting everyone ik to get the black and white ones for me then lmao. Most likely my grandma will get them for my birthday🤣.
I am now 37 years old. I have been wearing Weejuns from GH Bass for about 4 years now. Beforehand I wore penny loafers from other brands. but I really liked the old style I say years ago a picture of my father and I and my father had penny loafers on the year was 1988. and now I understand why he wore them. the shoes are timeless and always in fashion
I remember buying a pair of black Weejuns TTS - and it was TIGHT. US7 / UK6 - big no no, and had to return them. I purchased these and waiting for mine in a US8 / UK7 - I was told to size up so I HOPE it fits 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
My loafers seem to be falling off when I walk 😂 the heel part won't gripped even tho I add heel pad. The size is fit but have no idea why the heel won't stay still?
@8:21 use a shoe horn. not only is it good for your shoes and fingers but it also displays a sense of understanding of the usage of menswear accessories. great video i enjoyed it x
Did you get them in 7.5D or E? General review on these is TTS but im still curious as I personally have a wife foot and I always have problems in terms of sizing esp w leather dress shoes.
Hey what’s up man thrifted a pair in my true size … kinda tight … kinda uncomfortable lol. Has yours broken in any? I want to buy a new pair in the black and white… thinking about going .5 up. Want these to fit perfectly but not hurt my toes with socks lol
I’ve heard numerous stories about going up is bad and sticking tts helps. How worn are your Thrifted pairs? Personally, I haven’t had the chance to wear mine as much but it’s slightly broken in but it’s still tight in the toe area. I don’t see it being a problem going half a size up tbh, I think having “slightly loose” shoes is way better than shoes that make you uncomfortable.
@@itsjustdorian8927 lol, doesn’t hurt to have both! Especially if you have good looking loafers that you can use for a short amount of time. Let me know how those fit! Maybe it can help others too!
200% up a size 1 full size to be safe but maybe if you’re scared to go 1 full size try 1/2 a size. . Currently wearing these as we speak and it’s hurting. 7.5 is TTS for me.
@@MarkReyesCayabyab but you have to be careful not to go up a size too much meaning identify first if your foot is wide or if its narrow. I had a pair that was a size 12 and im a tts 11 and them shits were so loose my foot was popping out. but based on the study on those loafers its really best if its tight at first because the leather is still probably breaking in its supposed to fit like a glove once the leather softens
@@saint.emilio love the info man! Thank you! Yeah maybe a few more wears can help break down the leather but damn the shoes are super tight. I felt like I was squeezing my feet into some kids shoe. I think a golden rule maybe going half a size up for wiggle room and as the leather expands, it’ll fit as if it were half a size bigger.
@@jespac221 yup! I think it’s due to the leather not being stretched out yet. I’ve heard instances where some leather shoes need some time to soften but didn’t think these shoes were one of them. Totally thought wrong but that’s why I’m glad to have the comment section informing people.
YEAH DONT SIZE UP. These ran bigger than i thought and they were pretty wide for me. I friggin bought UK7 (as i am a size US8) but i was getting heel slippage every time i walked. I would need to wear two socks to make it work so i just returned my pair today and requested a full size down :( i hope the UK6s fit me.
I do feel like loafers will always be classic yes but i feel like classics can still be "trendy" or rise in popularity and then die off but so far it's been consistent
@MarkReyesCayabyab I see your point, and I agree. There has definitely been an increase in their popularity in menswear. During Tumblr's peak from 2011 to 2015, when menswear was a major focus, boots and oxfords were the primary go-to footwear choices.
Grab a shoe horn for putting shoes like this on.... you'll thank me later. Pressing your weight down on the back "spine" of the shoe will break it down... not cool.
Oh no definitely agree with that! This is my first time actually experiencing having a shoe that’s very tight to the point where I need a shoehorn. So I guess to everyone, get a shoehorn along with these shoe haha

Get the version that’s for wider feet! These squish my feet and I’ve worn it like over 5x already so it should be worn in already.

Bro any tip to avoid getting pain at the back of your feet?
Best bet is to wait till the leather is softer or wear thicker socks. Curious, is your pair newer or older?
Do you prefer these or the adrian loafers?
I feel like I get more wear out of Adrian loafers. It depends on your style and if you want to have a staple shoe or a trendy thick-soled shoe.
