I had one last year and to be honest having now today just bought the glock 17 gen 4 the quality difference is world's apart, the gen 4 is miles better build quality ,no tinny slide rattle ,feels like its built to a higher quality and has a slide release that actually works and is field strippable
I agree with Gary's comment below. It does seem to have a 'tinny' sound to it; but that may be the slide release mechanism. As per your norm, great review buddy.

It can waste co2 and the metal being pot/cast metal makes me wonder how much stress can it take from the blow back action? The plastic or polymer frame feels solid on the 19. Haven't felt the 17 as of yet.. but I love the weight and feel of the 19 so il probably stick with that.

Yes. The airguns manufactured this way usually have quite loosely fitted slides. The slide's barrel hole must be bigger than the barrel so the slide could tilted up and be put on and off the pistol. No actual long rails inside the slide anywhere. Just the barrel through the front of the slide and then the blowback chamber unit has a short railing for holding down the back of the slide.. If the slide noise really annoys then you can always put thin pieces of tape on the internal blocks so the slide does not wigglecso much nor keep so much noise. Have heard that those field-stripping tabs do not work on this one. But the pin for the slide locking mechanism is apparently there between the accessory rail and the tabs.. I own the HK VP9 and the ISSC M22. Both of them use this kind of magazine type. Badass pistols both. Love them. The ISSC is a compact and looks like a G19, but with an external hammer. It has a one hell of a kick to it. It also has a very loose slide which keeps lots of noise - but the "bang" it has is louder.😁
Was planning on getting one since it’s $80 in Amazon right now, but after watching this video im100% sure my Glock 17 airsoft sounds better, and better quality made. Doesn’t sound like some DIY air gun (in my case airsoft)

look this is mostly a gun for power and accuracy but the gen 4 is nicely built sort of but it lacks accuracy and power and also the insides of the gen 4 aren't as pleasing as the Glock 17 i would prefer you get this model because of its stability accuracy and power i mean the slide isn't that bad but the gen 4 glitters but it isn't gold

The only models of these recently released umerex glocks worth buying is the 17 gen4 or the 19, i have handled the 17 gen3 and the duel ammo 17 and they feel cheap ...just my opinion (i cannot comment on the 22 as have not handled that as yet)
I ordered the G17 g3 pellet and the G17 g4 BB pistol. The gen4 BB pistol is more in realism and tech quality - but it did not really give me anything new. Shot as all the other alike BB pistols. The gen3 pellet pistol definitely feels more as just an airgun, with the more loose slide and lighter recoil spring. But I like way more to shoot it. - even though also the trigger is a whole another story in comparison to the gen4 BB pistol. The pellet pistol has got a bit more "bang" to it - while the gen4 BB shoots a bit sloppier.. Woulda wanted the gen3 BB pistol also. But I already have a couple of pistols with technically same build and magazine type. And from what hearing and reading.. it was a good choice for me to buy the H&K VP9 rather than wait for the G17 gen3. The VP9's slide seems to sit and fit way better - and shoots good too.

I bought one of these today (Age 20) what are the existing laws for owning the Co2 air pistols? Will/Can I be prosecuted for owning one, and where am I allowed to fire one?
Assuming you're in the U.K. and not Scotland then no licence is needed and you can shoot at home or at a gun range, although some mainly indoor ranges don't like BB guns due to ricochets. Just don't carry it openly in public or trespass with it. 🙂
Gamo round lead BBs?? 😂😂😂 I tried out them once, back in the days. Were not exactly round and jammed my airpistol's magazine well.. Can't remember if I threw them away or do I still have the old tin somewhere..
They're usually slightly too big for stick style magazines. IIRC they're at or slightly bigger than 4.5mm whereas steel BB's are closer to 4.4mm. And of course being soft lead they tend to deform whilst being pushed up by the magazine follower.
Great vid really disapointed with the pistol tho i have the 19 that was originolly released i live it very firm and solid this seems like a cheap toy that they will charge way to much for
Good video! Nothing much new aside from the Glock looks.. But the grouping on the accuracy test was not bad. Surely a bit wide spread - but these are not of course match airguns either. And the grouping appeared quite centered on the target. 👍 So: good blowback, good fps and not bad on accuracy either. What more could you possibly want from a quite affordable airpistol? ... Heard that those tabs for field-stripping do not work on this one. But apparently the pin that locks the long slide movement is located between the accessory rail and the mock field-stripping tabs.. Those field-stripping tabs has only been working on the Tolmar/Air Venturi ISSC M22 airpistol (as far as I know).. Might be that the pin is best to push out through the right side of the pistol. At least on the Umarex HK VP9 the pin was star-shaped on the right side (securing the pin better than any all-round pin)..

I lubricate my guns; silicone oil on top of CO2 bulb to protect the bulb seal and molybdenum on metal on metal and metal on plastic parts. Ideally you want to disassemble the gun to lubricate it with dry (low or no added oil) molybdenum paste.
The UX Glock 17 gen.4 steelBB pistol will have that magazine that is a common type in GBB airsoft pistols. CO2 inside underneath, Allen wrench, and field-strippable while at it. The usual. Info, including manual to it can be found at Umarex.com..

I just bought one tonight at bass pro shop down in rancho cordova pretty sure. It is an awesome gun. I was suprised how high powered it was.

Agreed - it sounds like the Beretta APX I have, which looks great but sounds crap. These Glock replicas haven't impressed me so far.

no the trigger safety is shaped wrong, also Glocks don't have a safety, also why does the barrel not tilt up when the slide is racked
It's not a floating barrel, its fixed.
