The Two Greatest Chinese Poets: Li Bai 李白and Du Fu杜甫 II

This video is the second part of my talk about the friendship between the two great poets, Li Bai and Du Fu. I explain and translate two poems Li Bai composed for Du Fu and sent to him. The first poem is about one of their meetings. The second poem is making a bit of fun of Du Fu. Unlike Du Fu who saw Li Bai as the greatest poet he ever met, Li Bai did not take Du Fu and his poetry seriously, and saw the latter as a peculiar young man obsessed with poetry.

* 两猿 指 康熙, 乾隆. 啼不住 指 [全唐诗] 和 [四库全书], 都是假的.
* 刘霞, 小名 雪花. 大周帝国 女皇. 民国 称 刘霞 为 武则天.
