The NBA loved him! He may have been in the league for 19 years, but I doubt if he ever played a full season his last 8-10 years. He was riddled with injuries. Prior to his injuries, he was a hot commodity, class act, great player, gentleman and all the traits a team and NBA wanted in a player.
Salute and Respect Stunted Growth....Grant Hill:talented and had the juice and fire at Duke and the couple of years in Detroit, but those Filas shoes were hurting his ankles and wished he would’ve wore a different shoe...plus why did some hate on hill his rookie season? #1 reason he wasn't better than MJ is MJ. I love Grant Hill. One of my all-time favorites who was unfortunately unlucky in the injury department. He was and is one of the most underrated players ever, but he was not or ever going to be better than MJ.
Do one on Lil Romeo (Romeo miller). Bruh was the #1 player all through middle school up until he hit hs. And his AAU team had DeMar Derozan and Brandon Jennings. He was cold back then
He and Derrick Rose are two players I wish never suffered the injuries they did. All in all, Hill is a hall of famer, injuries just robbed us of what we really could've seen from him.

When Grant came out of college to the NBA there was so much hype on him, i really thought he was going to lead Detroit to a championship but i was very wrong

I was sad to see him get hurt because I saw in him what most people did. He was DEFINITELY going to be the nxt face of the NBA!! I even enjoy watching him on tv as well!😎👍🏽👍🏽
This was dope you should do one on Kendell Gill one of my favorite players growing up
Very interresting chanel. Thank you very much.
I had a lot of questions about what had happened with all the good guys I have seen. Now I have the answer.
Good luck furtheron ...
Blessings
Marcin
😊💯✌️
We know why he was career wasn’t what it should be he was clearly injured not cause he wasn’t good enough ....
His career **
Literally the ONLY growth stunt
@@chrisisslick appreciate you player .
Deceptevly slow ! KILLER First step! Multidimensional player! Silky smooth! GREAT BALLER!!!
Great cover bro. I loved this!!! Great throw back.
How could the medical staff not know the difference between a bruise and a break 🤔
The Pistons knew Grant Hill was leaving. It was dirty of that medical staff to give him the okay to go back out and play.
Hopefully they got fired
Hey bro love the channel. Always wondered what happened to josh Howard of the mavs. Requesting bro 💯
Hello I love your contentt excellent work ...I have a couple of names to add to your list just a suggestion Lenny Cook,Wayne Turner...peace
Would love to see a Multiverse where he stayed injury free.
He bounced back from that serious ankle infection I rooted for him
Hey stunted growth, what is the sound you make after every introduction? It sounds like “ahsk-kadama?
The NBA loved him!
He may have been in the league for 19 years, but I doubt if he ever played a full season his last 8-10 years. He was riddled with injuries.
Prior to his injuries, he was a hot commodity, class act, great player, gentleman and all the traits a team and NBA wanted in a player.
Salute and Respect Stunted Growth....Grant Hill:talented and had the juice and fire at Duke and the couple of years in Detroit, but those Filas shoes were hurting his ankles and wished he would’ve wore a different shoe...plus why did some hate on hill his rookie season? Grant Hill’s a good dude and Glad he’s doing fine and well and took care of his money after retirement....
I had his ugly sneakers but I loved his game.....he was official tissue for sure 💯💯💯
As a life long Pistons fan, this Hurts! His longevity is due to his fundamentals! Grant Hill is a great guy, I’m glad his broadcasting career has taken off.
This is the perfect set up for Brandon Roy! Make it happen! 👍🏼
There’s no doubt in my mind that Grant , barring injury, would’ve retired as the 3rd greatest SF ever
G Hill had that killer first step 😫
The quickest of anyone that size.
Grant Hill was poetry in motion
I grew up during the Grant Hill era in Detroit and he definitely was a beast. If the Pistons got him more help he probably wouldn't of been so injured
This about to be some heat. 🤦🏿♂️🔥
3:23 - So are you telling me that Grant helped to start this Coach K dynasty? Man..how old am I?
I don't ever remember a narrative of Grant Hill being called soft or that he was milking his injury. I do remember the narrative of him not being black enough, though, but other than that, the man had unanimous approval and everyone wanted the best for him.
duke fan here, & there seems to be a curse on our players who are “destined to be NBA greats”. i hope zion can break the curse that seems to haunt most duke players
Zion on a strict gumbo diet right now🤦🏾♂️
I like ure stuff thanks
I still remember Grant's Sprite commercials. Grant was being groomed to be the face of the NBA he was handsome, wholesome and personable. His career is was of the NBA's greatest "What If's?
One of my All Time favorite players 💪🏽💯
Chris Porter - Auburn
One of the best...I always think of the Pistons and Hawks playoff series back in the day.
Penny wanted it..but Hill would have had it💯💯
that music in the background tho so smooth whats the instrumental?
It was personally made. Back in my rap days...
I love Stunted's and Andy Hoops instrumentals 💯💯♥️

Ma Boy!!
Great player but i didn't see him been better then MJ n he was a small forward not even same position
Hill one of my favorite players ever. (He's a class act 🙏)
Grant Hill is by no means a disappointment. The man has a beautiful family, wealth, education, and no drama. 👍🏾
#1 reason he wasn't better than MJ is MJ. I love Grant Hill. One of my all-time favorites who was unfortunately unlucky in the injury department. He was and is one of the most underrated players ever, but he was not or ever going to be better than MJ.
My favorite basketball player....his senior year at Duke was one of the best ever
And Olympic gold
Those 4years in college took wear& tear on his knees
Appreciate you bro
One of my faves!!!💥💯
Do one on Lil Romeo (Romeo miller). Bruh was the #1 player all through middle school up until he hit hs. And his AAU team had DeMar Derozan and Brandon Jennings. He was cold back then
I forgot Hill is from Dallas. He represented the city well 💪🏾🔥🔥🇨🇱
He and Derrick Rose are two players I wish never suffered the injuries they did. All in all, Hill is a hall of famer, injuries just robbed us of what we really could've seen from him.
Grant Hill was really on his way to being next. He even made Jordan work. I even had the GH4s and his gear.
Grant Hill was a superstar!!
Look like grant hill used to break jordans ankles on the regular...😂
Yoooo MJ stay getting broken off in the 90s. Remember, that was the beginning crossover era towards the end. Got caught off guards. His ankles were strong though. Never got dropped.
@@stuntedgrowth right NickVanExcel and Grant Hill was the 1st 2 ive seen crossover Jordan twice before Iverson. THEN Jordan stuck around for a stint and a half before he Officially retired wit the wizards
He did that to everybody
@quinton cornelius Either damn way jordan got crossed up dizzy so
I swear those little Jordan fanboys where he couldn't do wrong 🤣
You know what, even though he didnt get a nba trophy, he still won in the end. He had a great career before his injury , a beautiful wife, kids, great parents , intelligent and he still has money! You're still my first favorite nba player!
Don't forget NCAA title and Olympic gold
@@misterbreezeoftharedpillma1710 Wow, I forgot that Jerome! Yeah, not everyone has a resume like Grant's!!!
When Grant came out of college to the NBA there was so much hype on him, i really thought he was going to lead Detroit to a championship but i was very wrong
MJ was getting his ankles yanked before A.I. by Mr Nice Guy 😂😂
Yeah during 90s I used to collect Grant hill cards and trade card my favourite baseball player...
The way he did Pippen on the wing lord have mercy 😩
The shot Laettner hit with 2 seconds against Kentucky sent Duke to the Final Four where they still had to beat a great Indiana team then face the Fab 5 of Michigan. Common mistake made. Other than that, this was a really cool video. As a life long Duke fan i give it a thumb up...
Grant Hill
3rd overall draft pick by The Pistons (1994)
1994-95 NBA’s ROTY (20 points per game on 49% from the field)
LeBron James
1st overall draft pick by The Cavaliers (2003)
2003-04 NBA’s ROTY (21 points per game on 42% from the field)
He’s not HOF but when healthy,Hill was nice. Ppl forget Hill an a young Allan Houston was on the Detroit team. I Watch all the videos, keep grinding. I love the early 2000’s joints that was the era
If he wasn't injured would have been in top 10 list of all time. One of my favorite players growing up and a what if like penny 😞
Prove it!
My best friend was hooper but he was 5"8 & my Patna the Jv coach Hollis Johnson he graduated from west mesquite and san angelo state university & if he had my height & talent he might be wearing his shoes!!
Well when Jordan was retiring Grant Hill was on a path to be the face of the NBA like you said. Grant Hill's Filas and his jersey was the hottest thing out there. He was a trendsetter, doing things Lebron and Kevin Durant are doing with endorsements
I can't stand Duke!! But this dudes game was so smooth! He would of went to Georgetown, if only Coach John Thompson had went to visit him at home, instead of sending his lead assistant..Eventual coach Craig Eshrick;I heard Grant say this in a interview, being a Georgetown fan and a Duke hater! That killed me after that interview!!
This is my favorite player no one could hold him R.I.P Kobe but he couldn’t hold him at the time when grant was killing everybody
My favorite player all-time!!!
If anybody was going to be the "next" Jordan, it was Hill! One of my faves, definitely H.O.F.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yea, the NBA was in great hands with Penny and Hill.
@@dontdoittoyoself6786 Prime Penny Hardaway had hops court vision and outside shot but if he had Grant Hill's athleticism he could have bounce back and had a more productive career .
@@carlwallace1129 cant say that with injuries. But I get it.
@Sir NICK I suppose u think Vlade Divac was more worthy? LOL
Grant was great, but there was nothing he could’ve done that would’ve made him better than Jordan. Just compare their rookie years alone.
Thank you. Grant was great, Jordan was dominant at both ends of the court.
Thats right..
His ultimate weakness was McDonald's fries. Larry Bird knew.
What about his alley oop vs Kansas! Gotta get that in there! 1 of 2 Duke players I ever rooted for (JWill). Grant’s senior year at Duke was FIRE. As much as I love Hill though, if he’s in the HOF, Penny should be too.
One of favorite players
Remarkably, he was a first-ballot Hall of Famer despite these obstacles.
