He was a slave to the Hutts.
He was a slave to the Jedi Order.
He was a slave to Palpatine.
He was freed only through death after fulfilling the prophecy.
The sith are the good guys, he fulfilled the prophecy by not allowing the light side to take control, balance doesn't mean one sided, it means equal.
@@msholdenh669 The Sith crave power and they kill and backstab anyone to get that power, while the Jedi are hypocritical and fear the dark side when it should be studied just as much as the light side to actually achieve their goals on "protecting the galaxy and it's people." Both sides have their problems. Both sides are equally bad. That's why being in the grey area (grey Jedi) is the best path to choose.
@@SmokeyGames420
Agreed. The Jedi used to be balanced, but then grew to fear the darkness, and drove out those who uses it, creating the Sith.
Also, the Jedi try to avoid the darkness by denial of self. They believe the darkness is not a part of them, while the Sith are consumed by it. The grey is accepting that darkness is a part of them, but knowing that it has no real control over It, but rather that they can control It. That is the way of the Force.
And then Disney came along and ruined his story.

I just realised that episode 1-6 is basically "Skywalker: A Star Wars story"
Which is why the sequels land so flatly with me. They're missing the core of the Star Wars story; Anakin.
@@darthridick77 And the little of Luke they had, they kind of wasted. (I blame that mostly on Rian Johnson.) I'm one of the people who don't think the sequel trilogy is total bantha fodder, but I don't disagree with the notion that it has many problems that could have and should have been solved before hand. ZoiddBergg I agree then the sequels came along and screwed everything up

@@swinefludeth7360😅I hope this is a joke because the prequels are boring, emotionless films and the characters are all monotone and unlikable. Also the lightsabre duels are boring and fake. @@Daniel-gp6sd You are apparently delusional. The lightsaber battles are amazing, seeing the lore expanded beyond the original trilogy is amazing, and if you go watch them again you'll notice 2 of those characters you "actually care about" are in the prequels. This is easily my favourite quote in Star Wars. The quote doesn’t sound like much but the backstory to it is just amazing but sad to think about.
@@jacksonstroud3712: You forgot Shmi: Anakin's mother, who he feared losing also
0:02 Starts with Imperial March, or Darth Vader's theme, but with a glimpse of hope. Evil's already there. He's a slave, he lost his mother. He must begin his jedi training .
0:51 Then the force and luke's theme gets in, trying to make Anakin a good person, a good jedi.
1:12 Next, Anakin and Padmé's theme appears, theme that gets heavily twisted with Anakin vs Obi Wan's theme at 1:25. Suffering starts. He lost his wife. He lost his brother.
1:39 Anakin suffers , and the Imperial March appears again and it gets much stronger. The Force theme tries to appear one more time at 2:01 and 2:10, but this time without any kind of success.
2:23 Imperial March and Force theme appear at the end, playing at the same time. Perfectly balanced. Giving one hint: There's still good in him.

The story of Anakin was one who deserves the light of the whoke franchise
A son, in slavery, promised to help those in need.
In this promise his mother would die, ultimately defeating his trust in this promise
A Jedi loosing hope in himself as he grew, a Man just wanting to help others
Eventually his distrust was abused
And this Man was manipulated
Vader born in the shadows
But not of evil
Although the Dark Side, Anakin took. In,
In the seeking to. save everyone did he take It in
The Poor Anakin, the first to use the Dark side in the Jedi way, was torn from the Jedi way by his manipulator
Facing his master and eventually loosing his body an his humanity, Anakin still wanted to do what was right
But now he was no longer able to
Some say under that mask
The suffering Anakin wasnt truly evil
Some say He did what he saw fit to keep his life in serving the one who could take it
So that someday, he could see his wishes
His wishes, through streams of pain under that black mask, a sign that NOBODY ever saw
His denial of. His. Past was anger at the fact that he couldn't save anyone
In fact in his want, he did the opposite
He couldn't be Anakin
And he hated. Only, only himself
A Shell In search to. Redeem himself
He wanted to. Save everyone still
Then came along his Son
Who in little training seemed to surpass him
Surpas Vader, the son did
Surpass ANAKIN, he did. Not
The son only. Fought the soulshook Anakin, holding back
In knowledge that His son needed to pick up. Where. A. Misguided Anakin left off, Saving everyone
Ans so he fought to hide his disloyalty to. Palatine, but when Palatine attacked, Anakin, noticing his chance to finally
FINALLY save everyone, did just that...
This is why A new and Redeemed Anakin would watch the journey of his blade
And the encounter through his Son
To help guide the Last Jedi to defeat Palatine
Even in his words of wisdom he was still saving everyone
Damn

I almost cry with this... It is just too strong. It is how all the ilusion and dreams all desapear bit by bit, to transform in something darker...
Puts a tear in my eye every time
The beautiful I love about how this song transforms from beginning to end is it exemplifies how I've always seen the star wars saga. I've viewed the series not as an adventure tale bit as the rise, fall, return, and legacy of Anakin Skywalker. To ke the star wars saga isnt an adventure tale, it's the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker.
I legit felt the urge to stand up and clap at the end of this.
[Disclaimer: I am no musician so the terms I use might be wrong!]
I love how to begin with it's a blend of binary sunset and a happier (major??) imperial march back and forth with the two contrasting ideologies battling it out and you can hear the motif from the Anakin/Padme love theme featured at one point. But then it goes full imperial march as Anakin gives in to the dark side and only a few notes of binary sunset feature right at the end overlaid with imperial march to hint at the good still in him. You can follow the whole story of Anakin in this piece, incredible.
it’s incredible how much music can touch the soul
And with David Prowse dead & James Earl Jones getting older & pretty much retiring....
Yeah, I feel it too. 😢😢😢
Peace is a lie,

Darth Vader,
A man with a stone heart. But opened with the right person, he is broken and has gone through so much that no people know about.

No, no, I’m not crying. Something has hit me in the eye, and these are tears!
Epic, I love how you mix the songs and play with the scales, is honestly breathtaking
Never in my life have I heard a better piano video, and I've watched like all of this channels and a few others' videos. This was powerful
This music is so haunting when you think of the man he was during the clone wars to the monster he became serving the emperor purely because he thought there was nothing else... and then those final notes remind you of that old, tired, scarred man.. finally bringing balance. A man who was born to die
This song was so hard to play. And the thing is, I can play songs most accelerated piano players cannot. But this one was so hard because of the strong message behind it. This song defines anakin's life; since birth had a dark future, he was the chosen one, he was in love, he let his emotions get the best of him and in doing so he lost all his loved ones, the transformation was complete, he was the victim but now he is master

It started out as the tale of Luke Skywalker. With the prequels it became the rollercoaster that is the tale of Anikin Skywalker. Perhaps one of the most tragic stories ever told.
For every note that passes by it reminds me of something that Anakin has done, along with the emotions that empower the memories. This song would be perfect for a video of Anakins life and all the choices he made, dreams he had, the beauty of love, the pain of loss, the "Suffering" That he and thousands of people deal with for remotely the same reasons
If you read all the comics and backstory of Darth Vader you realize how sad his history truly is
