Oh boy, do I have a lot of thoughts on The Mandalorian. Some good, some bad, none of them ugly. The soundtrack is definitely one of the highlights and the titular theme is already iconic. Also I found out why bounty hunters usually aren't in the music business. Those wrist rockets and flamethrowers are made for killing, not to enhance wrist dexterity...

The real achievement here is playing with those thicc gloves on
came down to the comments just to see if anybody mentioned the fact that he was playing with gloves on damn lol
I've played with gloves on before.
It is harder, but it isn't too bad. If you've played piano enough, it's instinctive where the notes are.
Not being able to feel where everything is as good is a handicap, but the better the player, the less of a hindrance.
ShloKing just give him the fucking credit 😂

Love how this song has parts of the melodies of old star wars films
I was going to comment this! The motif at 2:30 is definitely a call back to the binary sunset theme.
@@JC19021 It's all throughout the song, actually! They definitely did a great job with this one, although I like this one classical guitar cover of it just a tad more...I've always been partial to guitars.
Not Important To You
I agree guitar gives the song a more fitting texture! Gives it that much more of a western vibe
i hear a little Rocky theme too

Do you have the link to the cover?
I found out why bounty hunters usually aren't in the music business. Those wrist rockets and flamethrowers are made for killing, not to enhance wrist dexterity...
And prefer firearms over blasters too?
WATCH THOSE WRIST ROCKETS
AtinPiano how many takes did you do with those gloves till it went right I can imagine it was quite hard
@@brambakker5253 I think 3 or 4. There's definitely way more accidental key hits with gloves and these were the thickest I've ever played with haha

The dislikes came from people who tried to like it but they have stormtrooper aim.

Awwwww so cute baby yoda
The main theme of "Mandalorian" is one of the best compositions that I have heard! Ludwig Göransson created a magnificent melody that is easy to remember, unlike anything and at the same time does not violate the canons of Star Wars. Bravo, maestro!
It does though. If 50 years old for that species is still a baby, how is 900 years old dying of old age?
@@thescruffinator8830 Definitely this answer is not in my comment )))
@@thescruffinator8830 I've heard that the species of Yoda ages always differently
@@timjamann8966 No, they only differ the normal amount.
@@thescruffinator8830 Let's say that 50 years for that species is the equivalent of 1 human year. That would mean Yoda died at the equivalent of 18 human years, similar to many other animals (cats, dogs, horses, wolves, sheep, goats etc) with a 15-20 year lifespan.
Im a pianist, pianos are are my religion.
General Grievous just had to fuck it up...
@@Temp3st619 stop shiting on this man he can play two pianos at once I like to see you do do that

@@Temp3st619 he is a war hero why does he have to spell stuff right
I am a racist, races are are my religion. I really like racing.
I like how they managed to make it sound military, sad, mysterious, and adventurous all at once.
The mandalorian is as westernesque as starwars will ever get
East meets West actually. Its a western with eastern themes.
DrPeePeePooPoo now that I think of it. That's correct. They came long before and were basically the same thing for each other's respective times.
@DrPeePeePooPoo Cowboys are the samurais of the west.
A new hope was basically a samurai movie and solo was pretty damn western.
It’s literally a spaghetti western set in space! It’s great!
I just realised there’s variations from John William’s score in there! So good!
Binary Sunset 0:11, 1:08, 1:55, 2:17, 2:30
Main Theme 1:34
And I think maybe 0:21 has a hint of Rose’s theme?
Edit: it’s not rose’s, it’s the beginning of Rey’s
Edit 2: 2:00 Battle of the Heroes
Edit 3: it ain’t Rey’s theme I think it just sounds similar. It’s just from Mando score
You have a good ear. I have spoken.
They're not in the series soundtrack though are they?
One of the big mistakes that they've made, in recent years, is not drawing on William's themes enough.
Rylan Storm no I don’t think so. I think they do pop up in the show but not in this particular song he’s playing.
Bro, I literally realized the first time I heard it, by the way, nice variations
There's also a little bit from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom if you listen closely.
I guess pianos are a part of your religion?

HOW DID YOU PLAY THAT GOOD WITH GLOVES ON? THIS GUY IS A MADMAN. IN FACT A LEGEND!
You can really hear the Star Wars’ parts of the song.

Here's why you can't exterminate us, aruetii. We're not huddled in one place-we span the galaxy. We need no lords or leaders-so you can't destroy our command. We can live without technology-so we can fight with our bare hands. We have no species or bloodline-so we can rebuild our ranks with others who want to join us. We're more than just a people or an army, aruetii. We're a culture. We're an idea. And you can't kill ideas-but we can certainly kill you.

1:33 The whole song is amazing, but this..... does put a smile on my face
Wait wrong franchise
0:11 that little off-rhythm Star Wars jingle is such a nice touch. Gives the Mandalorian a unique vibe.
The force makes the piano vibrating.
I didn’t want this to end
In some sections, the notes feel like they end premature or there is a rest that holds for too long and makes the song seem segmented instead of whole.
I noticed that too. And the pitch is different.
but this was still really good
Sustain pedal time
Could not have said it better.
I liked it better than the actual theme and that’s saying something
Yall forget that's Boba Fett playing the piano in ESB gear ;3
Death Vader: I underestimated your power
Yoda: good this is
General grievous: another song for my collection
I love how you did it with those thick gloves
This demonstration was a serious confidence boost to me. I’ve been playing piano for 5 years now and always thought I wasn’t making a lot of progress. After watching this I realized I only thought that because I was comparing myself to all these much more advanced tutorials and demonstrations. Seeing this “intermediate” version and finding it to be within my ability to learn with a healthy amount of challenge was nice.
Dude same holy shit
i havent been learning for half as long like close to 2 yrs and a half but same, then get wounded pride when im not as good as i want to be , so it feels to great to know i havent learnt nothing all this time

just watch. “wakanda forever” will turn into “this is the way”
but "wakanda forever" was ironic, nobody actually thought that was a good quote. It was mainly used to make fun of kangz as well, which soft people might find racist, so I don't think the two are comparable.
TPF00T
bruh “kangz” itself is a racial epithet, why use that ? and wakanda forever was certainly not wholly ironic, i think you are letting your own prejudices influence your outlook.
@@brock985 nah, it was a meme to say wakanda forever because it's kind of cringe. I don't what kind of person would say that unironically, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to know them anyway.
kangz is not necassarily a racial epithet, for some time it was used by people of african origin unironically.
I have spoken.
@@tachy1801 "God bless America" is a real sentiment? And Wakanda is not because it doesn't exist? How are you even comparing the two? Even if you think it's cringy to be religious and maybe you think it's cringy to wish your country well, what does that have to do with people who say "Wakanda Forever" while pretending that it has any meaning outside of the fictional Marvel Universe? It's fine to say as a joke or if you are quoting the movie because you are a huge fan, but you have to understand that anyone using it outside of those use cases is either joking or entirely brain dead.
I really enjoy these covers of The Mandalorian.
I listen to this every day
It just donned on me, Waiting for the Mandalorian sitting on the couch for it to Air on a Friday night, seeing our favorite characters every weekend after school, it's clonewars all over again.
So strange how it’s like, old western theme mix with old Star Wars theme and a tiny reminder of Jurassic park. I like it.
This just proves that no one can actually play the piano. It's just sorcery.
