I am a 60 year old Black women watching this video for the 4th time in a row, with tears in my eyes. I am not an emotional person but this was truly moving because of the sincerity of each individual. They were each having their own personal experience, together. Together.
I AM A 70 YEAR OLD WHITE MALE NOT THAT ,THAT, MATTERS BUT JUST LIKE YOU AS A 60 YEAR OLD LADY I ALSO SHEAD A TEAR WHICH JUST GOES TO SHOW MATTER NOT WHAT COLOUR OR CREED WE ARE BASICALLY ALL THE SAME ?? SORRY ABOUT THE SPEALING ETC BUT I AM DISLEXIC OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT TAKE CARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are all different shades of the same color, Joy - just different amounts of melanin in our skin for the environmental conditions we are in. Satan is the one who has tried to divide us all. May we all be united in love & forgiveness for the pain we have caused one another in these last days God bless you, Joy! Your name is a blessing.
Want this played at my funeral. I want to live as consciously as I can and love and help others as much as I can and then fly away to my real home. Perfect!
It was played, by his request, at my father's funeral. He also wanted us to find a way to make him sit up in the coffin while it played, but we only managed the first request.
At my grandparents house, all of the families would gather and we would sing this song and many more. My cousins played guitars, piano and steel guitar. Those are still some of my favorite memories.
I had the same childhood experiences with my grandpa, aunts and uncles, playing guitar, banjo, violin, mandolin and me on the piano, age 12. It gets in your soul, in your SOUL! Wasn’t it wonderful!
Music is the language that transcends time, age, color, and hate! Peace to you. If music fails to make you feel deep emotions, I would check your humanity. Unsentimental myself or try to put forth a strong woman vibe. So they cannot get in. But I played piano since age 4 and that was the outlet I needed. I am now a 70 yo woman comfortable in my own skin, as I hope you are. Wisdom, acceptance, forgiveness and joy come at last.
The power of group music is something that was lost with the advent of records and recorded music. Families, churchgoers, campers, everyone really engaged in music making. Its healing and joyful. You can see that the audience is singing along. This is something we should get back to.
I believe it was lost in generational progression where everyone decided it’s no longer a norm. It’s up to people as individuals to seek it out. Good things come to those who seek them.
What happens when you have a group of passionate, creative, and talented individuals come together to express the soul of one song? Wow! an astonishing , refreshing, and moving rendition!!!
I’m new to this song. Just lost my Brother Dan. He played guitar. I will never hear this beautiful song without thinking of him. Thanks. It’s a comfort.❤
I sure found this at the right time, here on October 24, 2023! I needed to hear this precious, old song just now and this was GREAT!! Thank you!!! I am expecting to fly away when the Lord Jesus comes to take us home soon!
In the old days people sang together. It helped pass the long tedious work day on the farms, and in the fields. People found a common bond in takeing all their troubles before the lord in songs of praise, and admiration for his mercy and great love. The bonds of fellowship, and friendship are strengthend in song.
The YT feed brought this to me on Easter morning of 2023 - go figure! What a joy, one of my fave all time gospel tunes, we sang this it my mom's funeral, it's that special. You guys are great, thanks so much!
Hallelujah! Glory to our Lord and King,! Now this here is just a little bit of heaven on Earth! Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for true men of faith and integrity like this. Thank you little brothers for you are all a true blessing to the world as you share your wonderful God given talents!👏🦅🇺🇸
I have never seen so many guitars being played at once. The effect was the opposite of what I would have expected. The harmony was beautiful, and you could tell that these men are quite happy playing beside one another. I'll have to pay more attention to the White Horse Guitar Club from now on. Thanks to all of these fine gentlemen!
My buddy in our band of 12 years died of brain cancer a few months ago. We played this after each rehearsal after a bunch of beers and countless deep and meaningful discussions on how to save the world, and how to bring whiskey prices down in our country. Shit it was fun. He's gone, and all i have to ponder are his crazy text messages on my phone and awesome bluegrass guitar videos. Just like this. It was our gig and he was brilliant. Thanks for an amazing post of something that we can all draw on. He bloody loved I'll fly away and this just brings him floating back xx
I used to belong to a group like this... I played fiddle. We had two guitars, a banjo, a mandolin, a standup bass and my fiddle. So much fun, I miss it.
We are missing this therapy in our souls today. People used to sing their troubles and concerns away and pray to God for answers. Now we panic and have no soul cleanse with a song.
As a former recording artist listening to the simple magic of this is the feeling i got that compelled me to pursue my career. As the lyrics to one of my songs goes " is there music in your heart tell me can you hear it play, can you listen long enough before you turn away" Chorus " IS THERE MUSIC CAN YOU SING OUT!
This made me smile, starting to learn guitar I joined a guitar club that performed/practiced in a pub, and this song was one of the first solos I played, good memories,
@@ChriShirGle It is nice that you think the same way to, music is very important, the White Horse Guitar Club come from Ireland, County Cork. I did not know that until I surche where they are comming from. Cork County is beautifull and the Irish are so friendly. Tschüß. 🍀☘️
I missed my best friends funeral two years back due to illness. I had planned to sing this song to celebrate his life and 58 years of being best friends. 😍 Singing/playing together is a real booooster for the soul 🙏❤️
my lovely granddaughter got me a ticket yesterday for Christmas to see the lads at The Watergate Kilkenny....nor til May 4th 2024..... tickets probably....be sold out just after xmas
Please make more like this, what a beautiful sincere genuine beautiful deliverance out of all of your hearts into ours. Each of us couldn't help but feel the presence of the Lord as we listened. I am sharing this with others, and I will share more if you make them. Much of the world is lacking Jesus and what better gift could we bring the lost then to help them find Jesus and His love. God bless you all. ❤️✝️
It’s 4am in the morning and I’m all smiles fixing to head to work…I could feel my vibration raise as I was listening to this video. Thank you all. Sending much luv!!
I can remember my mom singing this song around the campfire she - learned it from her dad. Singing along with this video brought back some good memories. Thanks!
In our little church, it's become a tradition to sing this at the services of those who've flown away! I want it to be sung as a send-off for me, also! 🙏 🙏 ♥ ♥
This song reminds me of my grandmother who passed during the pandemic. We sang this together. She had dementia but she could remember her hymnals. I felt her while watching this. Thank you! ❤
Thank you, this is one of the very firsts songs I remember when I was a baby in an old Spanish church. My life had just begun, I’m now in my 50s remembering ❤❤❤
Awesome.... Gods peace be with y'all beautiful people need to be toghther praising our lord that's what's important not who we are but giving him the glory. Thank y'all..

@debbie1756 I’ve actually come across a UA-cam where a whole stadium of young people played the guitar together. It was beautiful.

Can relate. I sing this song with my elderly mother every Saturday morning when I visit with her.

Lovely. Brought back memories from my childhood at church. Bless you. 🙏💜🙏
The biggest reason I miss the music of the 60's and 70's is the stupendous classic guitar music. Nothing is prettier.
