Puddle of Mudd never wrote a bad song, and some can just rip into someone's heart and soul like no other band. A very impressive set of music and work that no one can take away from them. I want more
I feel like this band is seriously underrated. Their songs do a really good job of keying in to emotions both in their lyrics and the actual music itself.
"And I feel like I'm living inside a dream that no one believes and no one sees." This song has always been my go to to try to explain to people what having a narcissistic mother is like, an angel in public and a demon at home. Not an exaggeration to say this song got me through my teenage years.
@@drewcherry2794 yes it can and that's why its overused today as a description. The traits themselves aren't the issue, everyone has those. It's the disorder part people leave out. When those traits cross the line to a person being unable to function with any type of healthy interpersonal stability, or they constantly tear everything around them including themselves apart. Then when confronted or people reject them, they refuse to take any responsibility or admit they have a problem because they think they can do no wrong. When there's no self reflection leading to no progress in life. Just bitter stagnation inward and an outward public image built on self deception. Their view of others and themselves is extremely distorted and removed from reality. That's a disorder.
@@countessofmontecristo it sure is. I think we are all a victim of circumstances and we can't control what we are put through or what happens growing up. I believe the only way to true growth is inner reflection and trying to replace negative thoughts with positive ones resulting in a more positive approach to our live and problems. I understand why some compare them to a lot of the prominent grunge bands. It's to be expected. When they released their first EP in 1994, it was released during a peak in the grunge era. They're going to have that musical/grimy guitar sound influence regardless. That said, I do think Puddle of Mudd has their own sound and are completely different (in their own right) to a lot of the bands they're compared to.
Very awesome, very powerful video by Puddle of Mudd...This has always been one of my favorite songs of theirs..."Don't even pet the dog on the floor." says it all!
I've been around the block...a few times. These guys are the "REAL DEAL". For starters just listen to the Bass and how tight their arrangements are. Great builds, great changes, great musicianship!!

I love this song & vid cause of the raw emotion. It hits so close to home it hurts. At times when you go through agonizing pain and it encompasses you it's somewhat of a comfort to know you weren't the only one. Not a consolation but at least your not alone in it
This song and video makes me feel all that pain, anger and helplessness... I'm not into too emocional songs, but this one is totally different... It's fucking EPIC. a it's masterpiece. It's a piece of true art. It's like an essence of the strongest negative feelings you can have put into a brilliant song.

wesley scantlin is a babe and puddle of mudd is excellent. i got to see them for the 3rd time 3 days ago. then i got to meet them. still like shaking bc they were so amazing!
if you listen to the lyrics closely..it is such a good break song to the other person..it so tells it like it is...i love these guys..they always come up with these type of songs and make them great ....keep rocken..

I sound just like Wes scantlin 😄
Me too. After their 2nd album, all their music sucks with the exception of Psycho.
I miss you
Great song, from a very underrated album.
So under rated still listening all the time 22 years later
This is one seriously good fuckin song.
I feel like this band is seriously underrated. Their songs do a really good job of keying in to emotions both in their lyrics and the actual music itself.
Classic 2000s rock hit. We need more music like this 💯
Wes still sings this phenomenal I don't care what anyone says.
The emotion shown in the acting of this blew me away.
Same here
Yes FULL BODY CHILLS👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This was the last generation of music that had genuine soul
The pain in this video is surreal. One of the most underrated bands in the world, today.
Maybe the most underrated rock band in the last 20 years...
Eric Schwa absolutely
Eric Schwa I agree 💯
I second that !
yeh them and Slipknot are the most underrated bands of the century
Baby slipknot is insanely popular not underrated

I miss this 90s feel in today's music
This isn't a 90's song
@@dancier9192 But this band have the 90s sound. Especially the vocals
Grunge Never Fade Away
Grunge & Post-grunge Never Fades Away
Tremendously underrated band IMO, among other typical bands of the genre they manage to sound unique largely due to Wes's voice.
