This was a huge hit back in 2000. The 2000s was such a weird decade. You could put on the radio and hear various songs with totally different genres. The amount of variety was killer.
I miss the 2000s it’s make me so sad..
@@h4lfd34d6 me too,! The music back then was soo much better lol
Yep, that's the TRL effect!
2000's was an amazing decade for entertainment. I miss it a lot.
One hit wonder? This whole album is full of "hits", listen to it
This song takes me back to my childhood. They used to play this allllllll the time on MTV. What a good time that was. Growing up in the 90’s and early 00’s was the BEST!! ♥️🔥

I remember this song in my high school years…. 2001,2002,2003,2004….Those are the best years I will never change for this world the best…. best songs ever bring you in the past
This days was d best days ever
My brother was born in 85 and I am a 98, he made so many cds with music of his generation, which it became mine too. I don’t necessarily like this cause I feel the nostalgia of times I didn’t live and now that I am a metal head I still don’t fin as much in common between my peers music and mine; thank god I’m not a people person 😆
@@lucadidone268 same here except I was born in the 70's, and my oldest brother is 17 years older than me. He didnt like me listening to rap,and would talk shit about it all the time. So i asked him show me whats good then. he introduced me to led zepplin, deep purple, black sabbath pink floyd to name a few. His high school music era blew my mind, and i wanted more. Funny tho how he started lking rap when the beastie boys came on the scene.
I wanna go back in time when music videos and songs felt like this, when the sun was brighter and things seemed like a movie
You want to live in trash
Everything seems brighter when you're a child. If you went back at your age now it would be just as shite! enjoy what you got my brother/sisters. X
I mean, I just found out about this song, it just has that energy of brightness and positivity. Before this song I just knew of the RHCP original song
@rinseyno1mutt
That would be 1990 to 2009.
Sun this, sun that. Fuck the sun, only comes out during day, never at night when it's dark and we need it the most.
This song feels like it is about to start for real but it never does.
The whole song is just an intro from a better band
Lol, that's because it's a 20-second loop from the middle of a minute and a half long red hot chili peppers Instrumental that doesn't really go anywhere. It's understandable why you think that way.
@@overjoyouswhat song would that be?
@kayveeh Search up: "Pretty Little Ditty" by The Red Hot Chili Peppers! At about 51 seconds until the 1 minute 10 second mark is the entire sample that Crazy Town used for Butterfly. It's Flea and Frusciante playing the riff. It is from the Mother's Milk album.
@@overjoyous thank you!
The late 90s early 2000s was a strange and unforgivingly magical time to be in high school. Jnco jeans and Hurley t shirts topped with metal ball necklaces and frosted tips…pure wonder.
"unforgivingly magical" is unforgivingly dead-on.
I read this as to be high in school not in high school
I was born too late 🤣🤣 '94 unfortunately. As I was being born awesome music was also born. I wish I was born 5 years earlier or maybe even the 60's/70's. Or both. Fuck it I need a time machine to fix me issues.

29 years old still my favorite song. I’m here because I grew up on good tunes
As a 9 year old kid , loved it in the 90s and LOVED it EVEN MORE As a Teen in the mid 2000s for obvious reasons
Crazytown, when this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and in jail. Now I have a good job, a husband, and I’m healthy. This song and “Clover Cage - Miraculous” are the two songs that helped with my depression. I just want everyone to know that things will get better. We are in this together. I love you ❤
Wouldn't even be able to tell all of that by your pic lol
Ma'am you are an inspiration to me I've been in prison and in addition since 1984 thank you
When this came out I was in high school and making legs shake…

Same for the byrd tattoos on his hips 🤣

This song reminds me of times that we were all the most alive and today the world really sucks compared to this time.

I was living in Germany that time. Remember the hit this song had in nightclubs. Such a time. All is in past but song still stand higher than new music for sure.
oh man it was a wholesome time in germany back then
I noticed the 90s had a lot of songs that were rock/rap mixed...great fusion I must say
Early 2000's to be exact
It's called new metal.
I feel more like an house/rap mix. and yeah that's really nice, I'm kinda sad people got away from blurring the genre lines.

Yeah it’s 1000x better than the garbage they play on the radio these days
I remember being a child and hearing this on the radio, instantly fell in love with it but never knew what it was called. I heard it at the gym today and it instantly hit me to where I stopped my workout so I could listen to the lyrics and look it up. So happy I found it.

I remember mine, I was on vacation, lying down on the bed when I heard the song on the radio. I was struck and I screamed to my mum "not make noise!"

This song has such a unique & distinct chill vibe. Perfectly expresses the early 2000’s.
Music wise yes, but in terms of that time in general no.
The rhythm is from a chili peppers song from the mother's milk album.
@@rivalx7137 Pretty Little Ditty.
when, I heard the first verse, I was immediately overwhelmed by childhood memories
Very early maybe. This belongs to the pre 9/11 era of culture, this has more in common with Len - Steal My Sunshine & LFO - Summer Girl than 2002-2005 to my ear.
Man what a fun era as a kid - had to be lucky enough to turn on the tv at the right time to catch the music video you wanted to see. Not able to search for what you want and get it instantly. Everything felt so much more important.

But I don't care.
I still love this song for the same reason I did back then: it's earnest. It's not misogynistic or macho. It's all "damn, woman! You're amazing, and I want to be with you", from the heart. Hell yeah.

It’s a badass song! Timeless
Come my lady
Come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady
Come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Such a sexy, sexy pretty little thing
Fierce nipple pierce, you got me sprung with your tongue ring
And I ain't gonna lie 'cause your loving gets me high
So to keep you by my side, there's nothing that I won't try
Butterflies in her eyes and the looks to kill
Time is passing, I'm asking could this be real?
'Cause I can't sleep, I can't hold still
The only thing I really know is she got sex appeal
I can feel, too much is never enough
You're always there to lift me up
When these times get rough, I was lost, now I'm found
Ever since you've been around
You're the women that I want
So yo, I'm putting it down
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
I don't deserve you unless it's some kind of hidden message
To show me life is precious
Then I guess it's true
But to tell truth, I really never knew
'Til I met you, see, I was lost and confused
Twisted and used up
Knew a better life existed but thought that I missed it
My lifestyle's wild, I was living like a wild child
Trapped on a short leash, paroled in police files
So yo, what's happening now?
I see the sun breaking down into dark clouds
And a vision of you standing out in a crowd, so
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Hey sugar mama, come and dance with me
The smartest thing you ever did was take a chance with me
Whatever tickles your fancy
Girl, it's me and you like Sid and Nancy
So sexy, almost evil talkin' 'bout butterflies in my head
I used to think happy endings were only in the books I read but
You made me feel alive when I was almost dead
You filled that empty space with the love I used to chase
And as far as I can see, it don't get better than this
So butterfly, here is a song and it's sealed with a kiss
And a thank you miss
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me
So come and dance with me
Uh-huh, uh-huh
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby

'Til I met you, see, I was lost and confused
Twisted and used up
Knew a better life existed but thought that I missed it
My lifestyle's wild, I was living like a wild child
Trapped on a short leash, paroled in police files
So yo, what's happening now?
I see the sun breaking down into dark clouds
And a vision of you standing out in a crowd, so
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Hey sugar mama, come and dance with me
The smartest thing you ever did was take a chance with me
Whatever tickles your fancy
Girl, it's me and you like Sid and Nancy
So sexy, almost evil, talkin' 'bout butterflies in my head
I used to think that happy endings were only in the books I read but
You made me feel alive when I was almost dead
You filled that empty space with the love I used to chase
And as far as I can see, it don't get better than this
So butterfly, here is a song and it's sealed with a kiss
And a thank you miss
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me
So come and dance with me
Uh-huh, uh-huh
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Come my lady, come-come my lady
You're my butterfly, sugar baby
Come my lady, you're my pretty baby
I'll make your legs shake
You make me go crazy
Come and dance with me (yeah)
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me (yeah)
Come and dance with me
Uh-huh, uh-huh
Come and dance with me (yeah)
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me (yeah)
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me
Come and dance with me

I'm here in 2024 listening to this classic song
LOVE this fuckin song! I request it at every wedding reception I have to go to....!
Dude I remember dancing around to this in my stressed jeans, hair full of colorful pins (hearts and butterflies), this song on VH1 on a tv three times thicker than the package my actual tv came in... good times, sweet childhood
Catarina Serra you sound like a good writer
very 😎 cool!
I was 4 whenever this came out i feel like an O G
Catarina Serra nothing like a pair of stressed jeans 🙈
Nostalgia is one of the most powerful forces ever!
Here before everyone realizes this is the sample in “Ain’t It Different” by Headie One, AJ Tracey, and Stormzy
Yooooo
The original sample came from red hot chilli peppers “pretty little ditty” bro and trust Headie went in haard on his verse man he bodied that shit harder than AJ and Stormzy
Literally where i came from
yes G! your on it
Damn I thought I was early lol
Legend has it that this song still plays on my MySpace profile to this day.

I remember back in 2001 or so, they played at ski liberty near Gettysburg pa. That night the shifty came in to g-burg, wich is a very nice college /town. I was a local and saw him at the bar near the college and sat down with him and started to chat. And collage kids were starting to notice him an coming up to him for autographs. And then because of the buell shirt and piercings they thought I was in the band also. So I signed a bunch of crap and I remember he thought it was pretty funny. At the end of the night I told him thanks for making me famous for a night. Good memory 😆
Such a cool story dude! One in a kind for sure hahaha
Very cool story! The clown above me didn't even thumb you.
@@Smokey-88 yeah some people can live without it you know, not everybody it's seeking for attention and "likes"... maybe someday you get it child...

What an awesome response, insulting me by calling me a child.. I was born and raised before cell phones and UA-cam. I doubt you were. Damf.
@@Smokey-88 I don't insult you I was just saying what your acting like...
Can’t believe this song already has a nostalgic feel…….. man time flies
Time DOES fly. I blinked at 13 and I turned 45!
Enjoy the ride
Same here
I mean it is from 2002 thats a long time
2002 was 27, now im ripe ;)
No pun intended
Butterfly. Que recuerdos aya por el 2000 más o menos.
I love the iconic Dare shirt. I still have my Dare card from 4th grade LMAO
I'd like to think that there's a tiny little MP3 player inside each of those guitars playing Red Hot Chili Peppers' riff.
And still managed to make it sound different lmao
i lo ve the fact they don't even bother to pretend to be plying something, they´re just standing there
0:53 они показали, что играют
Pretty little Ditty... RHCP!
Rhcp❤❤
*That guitar intro is so good!* ✅🙂
That’s cuz it’s red hot chili peppers

Thanks to John Frusciante
My Goodnes... I'm 38-freakin' years old... Crazy Town fan. Still listening to their music. Sad about what happened to Shifty...
I used to call the radio station at 2am everyday on my way two work and request this song. They eventually just ended up playing it for me for a couple weeks without me having to call😮
😂❤
My favorite thing about this is the trippy effects combined with the D.A.R.E shirt. This sums up the entire decade.
DARE to keep kids off drugs, leave them to the adults. ^_^
@There is zero pictures of earth from space. Even your user name screams to much drugs and q theory.
@There is zero pictures of earth from space. Did you mean Doomed? or did you really just say domed right after calling the earth flat? I'm so confused now. Care to elaborate? Perhaps explain why all the other celestial bodies in our solar system are round and yet you are convinced and trying to convince others that Earth is somehow a unique phenomenon being flat? So the cruise ship that I sailed on in my youth Literally around the whole earth was just my own paranoid delusion? An intricate fantasy of my own creation of wonder and mystery leaving port and traveling west damn near the whole 2 years and ending up back at the port I joined up on. Mother of god, Share what you're on Alice cause I've tried some crazy shit but even I'm not that far down the rabbit hole.
Wait till you hear who it is that is wearing that DARE shirt.
