I love watching your videos but always go to the web site when starting to make the recipe. I appreciate the detail in both. Thanks.
Love your videos, can I substitute the flour with coconut flour?
It really is truly a lot easier to just post the measurements somewhere on the screen as you're doing it so that people don't have to stop the video search for what you're measurements and then proceed from there.
I just think it would have been a lot better considering you had absolutely fabulous looking base only I didn't know how much was in it so moving on.......
@@nadineb2726 or at least put it in the description of the video
@@lucaswoods1725 I agree. Some of us don't have the best eyesight so it really does help out when it's at the bottom of the screen
I had a day off of school and got bored so I decided to make cookies. Found this recipe and decided to try it, it was a hit with everyone. I even gave the recipe out to two people. These are Really good cookies, if you're thinking of making these do it!!
@Holy Drug Lord🔼 🤣😂
"Form cookies that are different sizes, like some savage" LOL!
I love peanut butter cookies, need to make these. Thanks
I laughed at that savage comment too!

ME TOO😘😘💋👄💙💙❤❤❤💜💛💚💖💟👍
Just made these during my study break. It was so great for de-stressing and ohmygod, these are the most delicious things I have baked in my life. Thank you Chef John, you are absolutely amazing!
I've made these....they're delish. However, once in awhile, I don't "hashtag", I let them bake from the ball and when I get them out of the oven, I put either a Hershey kiss or a mini Reeses's peanut butter cup in the middle....or both. My husband loves them and so do I. YUM!!!.
Just made these they're in the oven right now! This is, I think, the 6th recipe of yours that I've tried in the past few weeks. I know you won't see this but thank you Chef John for helping me find a love for cooking again.
I made these this afternoon and am eating one right now. So yummy! This is one of my favorite cookie recipes. Thanks, Chef John! You rock!
Cehf John I've been using your recipes since I moved into my first apartment. I now have a house married with a fimly and your recipes are still a hit no matter who I make it for or when I make it. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
"You'll find it in a jiffy" why did that make me laugh xD
Same here
Bc we already knew the brand he didn’t want to tell. And so when he said it, I laughed.
I'm making these with Almond butter for no good reason .

If anyone is wondering if they should make these now in 2020.... well.... yes! I followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfect! I’m kind of addicted.
Okay I lied, I baked them for a minute additionally, but that’s the only difference!
So glad you commented that I was wondering 😋 thx so much
I made these today & my 4th grade teacher wife came dragging in from a meeting after school mumbling things like, "I think my head is going to explode." I told her to close her eyes & say ahhh then shoved a recently cooled cookie in her mouth and she perked up & melted at the same time with a "mmmmmm." As she was on her third cookie after supper, she said, "I don't want you to get a big ego, but... You're a god!" LOL. I never knew such an easy recipe was all it took to become deity. Heheh. Tnx.
HAHA awesome!!!
❤
Very good penmanship, writer perhaps?
Hi I just wanted to thank you for posting this video, my husband loves them. I really like watching your videos.
They are very easy to follow, keep bringing new videos plz. Have a great day
I had to bake mine a little longer, but they came out moist and filled the house with a glorious smell of peanut butter goodness! Thanks.
About to make you these again tonight! The only thing I add extra is a few dashes of vanilla when I add the egg. Turns out delicious everytime. Thank you.
Hello chef John just wanted you to know that those are the best
peanut butter cookies that my husband and I have ever had. Thanks
for the recipe.
You can finish a game of Monopoly in three hours? Mine normally take two days... o_O
I started one two months ago and im not even halfway done o_o
The Aura Tree haha same😂
StXrlight haha same 😂
The Aura Tree 4hours
The only time ive ever finished a game of monopoly took almost 6 hours and it was a special edition with an extra die to expedite game time.
THANK YOU Chef John for ALL of your wonderful recipes! You are definitely my GO TO channel when I need a good recipe.
I'm baking off my cookies right now. They looking great in the oven. Can't wait to eat them up. Thank you chef John. Love from Trinidad and Tobago

These turned out to be the best f***ing peanut butter cookies I've ever had & everyone LOVED them! I'm so excited to try your thumbprint cookie recipe!
Thank you!!!🖤

@@jessicascherman494 What is your problem?
These cookies are the best by far. I have tried PLENTY of recipes. This one is the best.
Made these last night and they are DELICIOUS. They're already almost gone because the whole family loves them. Thanks for this great recipe.
I have made these cookies and everybody at my apartment complex love him to ask me to make them all the time great recipe
Love this recipe! I always add the same amount of Nutella as peanut butter to give a chocolately kick.
Just made them and they taste amazing! You were absolutely right about the inside being chewy but the cookie was slightly crispy on the outside. To all of those complaining about there being no measurements, chill and click the link in the description. It takes you to his blog where this same video exists plus the measurements and ingredients are listed out. I do have to say it was a hassle to do the hashtag on the cookies because even after cooling in the fridge, my dough still stuck to my fork way too much and i messed up so many cookies because of that :( great recipe nonetheless!
Just made my first batch and YUMMY DELICIOUS!!!! I done made several but these are far the best! Melts in your 👄
If you're experienced at making peanut butter cookies using a teaspoon should be no problem making the cookies I have been making peanut butter cookies since I was 6 years old. Thank you Food Wishes I lost my recipe and used yours just by using the list of ingredients though I did use the microwave to melt the butter only in for a minute the cookies turned out great :) I love peanut butter cookies and always make than when I want something sweet :)
For those that are just starting to make the peanut butter cookies, this is a great recipe best one I have used anyway even if you do not have baking soda or powder this one will still taste good. You can only be missing one of those 2 nothing else if you do not have at least one of those you can not make it. I am passing down my experience of making them.
Thanks for the tips.
@@thedrizzle899 Your very welcome half is handed down from my mom the rest is from my experience :) xxx
@@highlandergirl59 you’re so lucky getting that wisdom from your mother. Cooking is the one of the best ways to access one’s soul, let alone others.
@@thedrizzle899 Well the recipe was more Mom's but even she said I made them better than she did. Grandma always told me anything with sugar always half it from what the recipe says. So from there I learned the rest because some times mom had all the ingrediance and some times she did not. So learning what has to be in the cookie and what can be left out was the thing I had to learn for those that after me would make them. Besides we were a huge peanut butter cookie eaters for a treat outside of peanut butter cups lol. But my cooking wisdom came from my Grandma more than my mom and school I took cooking classes when I was in High school.
Yes food is a big thing in my family and if your gonna cook you need to learn to do it right :) xxx I was just lucky My Grandma taught me the biggest part of cooking and school taught me the rest. The best cook I think to learn from is always a grandma they been cooking for a long while and knows the ins and out of a recipe what you can use and do's and don'ts how to make it batter even. A recipe is just a staple the rest is up to the one using the recipe :) xxx.
I'm totally making these right now 😀
Thanks so much for this video!!! I made this today!!! Even though I had no self control to wait the 3 hours the cookies turned out great!!! I think next time I'll add more peanut butter and flour... just a little...
This recipe is so yummy, I made these the other day and I am making them again today!! Thank you for the recipe!!!
tried it out and its AMAZING!
@MFSherlock Please. I have supermodels on the set to bite things for me.
LOL🤣🤣🤣
I made this tonight and these are the best peanut butter cookies. Thank you.
I really enjoyed you making these peanut butter cookies. You are so funny! I see you took a big bite out of that cookie. I made some and they are delicious like you said
@orlendatube Actually, you're going to need to do 375 for 10 minutes here, or you won't get crispy edges.
We absolutely love this recipe! Can't wait to try it ourselves.
These came out great! Definitely using this recipe going forward!
I've never baked but I enjoy watching his videos
Angel Macias p
That savage remark had me laughing hahaha.... I'm such a savage.
I have made these at least tree times...delicious recipe! Hubby loves them, Im gonna make for his bday ! Thanks!
I just made these, and they turned out wonderful. Which, considering my previous attempts at baking, is nigh-miraculous. Thanks!
This is a legit recipe , thanks youtube guy.
I made these cookies 🍪 this morning, they are so delicious! The edge is crunchy and the center is a bit chewy. It's not too sweet, just perfect. BTW I only waited an hour after I put it into the fridge, the cookies came out fine.
I made this today, so sooo sooo good! You haven't failed me yet, Chef John
I made these cookies tonight..and they turned out great!!! Thanks so much Chef John! :D This recipe makes 28 (or so) cookies with the small cookie scoop.
We usually dip our fork into a bowl of sugar and then press down on the cookie...just alil more sweeter!
Very helpful, thank you ^-^
Too much sugar..enough in the cookie..to each his own
@ahlecksloo Probably from my cat...or chest.
Just made these peanut butter cookies and they were absolutely delicious! Thank you so much! :)
wow nice I'm making some right now there just now sitting in the fridge for 3 hours thx for this my taste buds wanted something sweet ur amazing
I just put in the fridge... I don't think I can wait 2 hours though.
diemcim I used to make these without refrigerating them. It's fine. If you don't mind them being slightly uneven and harder to work with. :)
diemcim it’s been 3 years... good job!
Double the recipe so you can tide yourself over by eating cookie dough like I do diemcim.
diemcim me either. Lol
I was like the same way, but its worth the wait. Lol
I see you remember when it was Jiffy not Jiff! These are awesome! Love them. Thanks for the recipe.
true
it's been Jif since day one, perhaps you are thinking of Skippy. Choosy moms choose Jif, not Jiffy.
Crafty Chrystal Mandela Effect
Jiffy is cornbread mix
Crystal Camarillo do you know what the Mandela effect really is? It’s called humans don’t pay attention...it’s been Jif since 1958
Love your videos! Love your humor! Thank you!
Love yr video and great humour. Thank you!!
looks good! The commentary was cute.
YES!!!JUST YES!!! 😭😭 I've been video jumping to look for the peanut butter cookie recipes without the eggs and I finally got it!! I love you bro!!! I'm literally crying!😭😭😭😂😂😂
Sorry to tell you but it has eggs
There was an egg in there, but here's a trick: any time you see an egg in a chewy dough(like a cookie), tag out the egg for a mashed banana or a quarter-cup of applesauce. In a peanut butter cookie, a mashed banana makes a bunch of sense to me anyway.
bubble popped much?
Excellent advice...
These turned out amazing!
Im sooo baked right now and those cookies look soooo delicious.. nom nom nom!
I am going to make these cookies, I am the cookie Monster not me but my boys
Well I don't have an ice cream scoop so I have to do the Savage way
Made these yesterday except browned the butter....cooled dough for several hours....maybe the best PB cookies ever. THANKS!!!
These look good....will definately try these!
MAKE SNICKERDOODLES
I find that if one adds about 12-16 grams of cannabis flour, it really makes some great cookies. Also a pinch of baking soda.
I love foodwishes...He simplifies everything!
I love your personality and sense of humor!❤
the old stampa stampa :p
\
I don't get the reference to someone making fudge cookies?
It's a riff on the old Reese's peanut butter cup commercials.
Chef John is never wrong... his recipes are the best. I relent.
i was just looking for a great recipe for peanut butter cookie! i cant wait to try it
i ended up tossing candied bacon into the dough because a voice in my head told me to ;_;
3:15 EW CHEF JOHN I SEE A HAIR.

Made these today...perfection!
These are good... If you like peanut butter flavored chalk. Too much flour.
Beavis
I prefer chalk flavored peanut butter.
Uh heh heh. Yes Beavis.
Add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, it makes it really nice!
I tried it with a 1/4 more sugar as I wanted them sweeter they turn out fantastic really good recipe.
Daughter and I’s cookies turned out well my man thank you.
0-0 i clicked this even though im highly allergic to peanuts
Natsuiro oh no. 😔
Lol
Are you guys stupid? He mentions that the ingredients are on his blog if you actually waited and listened!? And not to mention that if you really wanted to find the recipe you would check the description bar! It's not that hard! I really weep for humanity. Also, there's no need to insult him in such an ill manner for your mistakes.
You know, I think I understand you very well. Makes me feel like weeping also.
It Is The right Recipes! Love It! I make All +A Cookies Now!!!
Just made these!(: in the fridge now. Thank You! .
Don't use "natural" peanut better. It's a mess.
Kay Farquar I found out the hard way
oh, no. I just did. now Im scared to try them
Kay Farquar all natural peanut butter is disgusting
I love natural peanut butter! I pour off the oil, dump the peanut butter in a bowl, mix it well with a sturdy wooden spoon. If it seems dry, mix in a bit of the oil. I like to do the same thing with a jar of almond butter & combine the two. Spoon into glass pb jar. It usually stays a good texture for me - I think it's perfect for PB cookies.
Today (April 13, 2020) I made these cookies. They're like classic peanut butter cookies, but less dense -- more airy. Very nice cookies. Nice accompaniment to a cup of coffee, tea, or milk.
I love those!!
I just made them and they taste so GOOD!!!!
Thanks for posting chef John. Will definately try this.
Tried these. Awesome 😊
that looks AMAZING!
Before I even watch this video I am super excited. I love peanut butter and especially a peanut butter cookie.
