Thats a nice kit. Appreciate the concise instructions. The green grey scheme is one i would definitely pick
22 and 217 both flew out of RAF Thorney Island near Chichester at one stage during the war. Now a base for Royal Artillery Air Defence Regiments.
Excellent review Peter. RAAF Beauforts caused no end of trouble for Japanese merchant shipping in the New Guinea theatre.
Another great review and one more kit to add to the collection 👍
Hi Peter. I must admit I have never really been sold on 1/48th stuff as when I was young and cutting my teeth in modelling this scale was not very well served. Not only that but as a kid I was only interested in 1/72nd scale. Thats not changed I,m afraid. But I do appreciate a good kit. This new kit offers all the detail the average modeller will ever need. I think that I.C.M. have raised the bar over recent years despite the ongoing turmoil in their country. They really seem to be cornering the market these days in very high quality models. I just wish that some of the other major manufacturers would up their game. Are you listening Airfix,Revell,Dragon,Hobbyboss,Hasegawa and to many more to mention. This is mainly in military vehicles in the small scale. Excuse my ramblings. Anyway great kit, great vid and a 10 out of 10 for yourself. Cheers my friend.
I'm amazed at how many new kits ICM are producing given the current situation
Peter sap is semi armor piercing. The Beaufort is a good looking plane. ICM has done a winner here.
Thanks Peter. Great review...Looking forward to the Hampden from ICM if it eventuates.
Peter those *_are_* Vickers 'K' guns. You can tell because they have the sloped flash hiders, air tool type grips, and half length gas tubes. An aircraft Lewis gun has a grip like a browning, and a gas tube that is nearly the whole length of the barrel. Interesting factoid. The side gins were mounted on their sides, presumably so spent cases would drop downward & could be collected in a bag or something similar. The Browning is certainly a .303". Re the bombs. The Yellow bombs were pre-war stock. They were later (1941 on) painted green but you might still see a mix of green bombs with yellow fins or vice versa. Green bomb bodies may be heavily weathered to show the original yellow. Go to town on them!
Very good Peter all 10 out of 10 to you thank you.
Hello Peter, nice production! The 1/48 ICM Russian WW2 fighter Yak-7 di , YAK-9 ( early ), Kit # 48041 is a fantastic, cheap kit, heavy on the detail. Check it out! Cheers! KC CA USA
I watched Gary's Stuff box opening earlier today, looks like a good model.
Looks nice 😎
I have got the original Mk 1 - a nice kit, and although the plastic is soft, I haven't had any issues with glue. It would be nice to see them issue a DAP Beaufort (Australian made), with the P and W engines, and larger tail. There apparently is one resin conversion available. Australia produced 700, compared to the Brits 1,180. Another Australian version of an aircraft that would be nice is the Avon Sabre in 1/48, although CAC only built 112 out of the ~10,000 total Sabre/Fury production.
Serious question Peter. Is part D 49 meant to be the toilet?
Surely not...it's too tall I think. 😂
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab Could be a canister for dropping things or sticking a camera in.
..симпатично..
Not happy with icm model the plastic just too soft doesn't glue well I'm doing the old 1941 German fire truck to build it was a night mare to build the part have been clean I think I won't bother with icm kits
Plastic is much better on their latest kits, give them another try and avoid the older ones.👍🏻
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab I bought this one in the bin of order kits it was low price kit I belive 2013
It been was with a decreaer it just the glue I use are tamyia quick and the slow glue also in some of these model they water down model modes iteri kit was like that it was so water the plastic down to save on the oil that's combine in the plastic to weak it just just wouldn't hold together the glue were good not mention the soft plastic just don't hold well when cutting parts they just break in too it too frustrating I'm nearly done with one the old fire truck few more parts and painting after these kits kind of scare me
Decrease to clean the spurs
@@BradleyHatchen-vv3fd I built the Mig-25 Foxbat (more recent) and the plastic was fine.👍🏻
