Welcome to an extra bonus Sprue Tour, this was filmed ages ago (in Riyadh with no microphone as you'll see) and I totally forgot to upload it! So, here it is.
Quite familiar with the AZ 109 G series range, radiator opening are a bit small to see anything, the cockpit can’t be fitted from the bottom you can fit the exhausts later but the worry is you Push too hard you’ll Lose them, the gear legs have a decent positive fit and create the angles pretty well , I think you’ll like it when it’s built, a bit rough n ready but builds Into a decent kit , I enjoyed building them (done 3) The Bouchon kit looks 100% same bar the nose so comments above should apply minus the exhaust fitment Good luck with the conversion , hopefully see pics of it some time
Thanks for the video, I wondered what this kit was like. I have Special Hobby 72308 - same airframe - SH looks like it might be the better molded of the two kits as the sprues are definitely different. If you encounter fit problems with mating the Eduard kit, this boxing may be an alternative route for you.
I love the subject. I have the SBS conversion for the Tamiya 109. I got the nose one perfectly in a dry fit but the cannons are another story, they come as a set of PE and resin. While I got the PE on fine, the cannons are a nightmare. I ended up ordering a Mulberry 3D printed set as well as the rockets. How are you planning on adding the armenent to your aircraft?
I have that too but I'm going to try it on the Eduard kit. That Mulberry set is seriously undersized, the cockpit is at least 25% too small and the nose is 2-3mm too short in the vertical axis. I binned it. As for the armament, I'm just going to use the AZ bulges and shrouds and I'll replace the barrels with brass tube.
Thanks for the review. I have been wanting to build a BoB Movie Buchon for a long time now.
You're welcome mate
Jamie, I think I would build a Buchon just for that cobalt blue colour scheme with the yellow/orange roundels. 😍
It is lovely
What a interesting little Aircraft ,thanks for showing. Great teeshirt too . I hope you got your TP for bunghole 😀
😂

It'll be a video build mate
Looking forward to this Jamie, looks to be a lot of fun. And making the best of short run kits isn't seen enough.
I'll be just using the nose and armament mate
Look forward to that build!
Cheers Paul

Thanks for the info mate
The word buchón derives from buche (maw or throat), and it's given to some birds that can expand it.
Very appropriate!
Very interesting subject matter Jamie.
It's a funky looking thing mate. Good luck with the retirement.

Lifecolour might be a good source for the blue.
I just don't get on with that stuff, I find it awful to use so I'll stick with GSI Creos which I have
