I remember these advertisements on the television when I was growing up in Ireland in the seventies / eighties. Thank you to all of the creative people who brought us these works of art. You know an ad is good when it sticks in your brain decades later.
These 70's Martini commercials were extremely well put together, the sophistication of it all that they created, the Martini song, sung in several different languages which created a lovely atmosphere for the ad's... the great looking men and women gave it that beautiful, sexy appeal. I remember the ad's quite well and it's really good to hear many of them again...wonderful !
@@JackRossiney Yes, it was under the Direction of Barry Day the creative director who joined from Lintas Advertising in 1970 it all fell apart after he left in 1980!
@@JackRossiney Yes he was and had a Great team behind him, many he brought in from Lintas as I was, he was very clever and a gentleman, he is now retired living in New York and spends his time writing.
Erano dei veri cortometraggi, spot Martini ti facevano letteralmente sognare..sono stati gli spot più belli anche per una selezione musicale sofisticata.
This Martini ad from 2:30 was made in 1976 and won a Clio Award in 1977. And the woman in the black bikini at 2:59 is really hot!! (although now she must be like 70-years old).
Actually weve got half a bottle of this crap in the drinks cupboard. Must have been there for going on 45 years. I cannot even remember what it tasted like. It would probably kill me now.

Yes, they were great I worked for the Ad Agency McCann Erickson London in the 1970's
@@mackenzierough ...fantastic, you worked for one ( if not the best ) company going as I don't think they made a bad commercial.

Beautiful era I grew up in -romantic and glamorous 💗
I think some of the commercials, like the very first one, were from the 1980s. But it doesn't matter. They were all great.

What country was the bianco ad at about 2:31 made for? Can’t work out the language??
Probably for country where Martini is made. Sure sounds like Italian to me.
@@tiadaid It is.
The first advert was first-class seductive artwork though we must admit each and every Martini commercial is glorifying Western culture.
It was once a great culture but no longer.
