This may sound stupid but what happens if you get enough curved moniters to surround yourself in a closed in circle how would the Gaming work in corspondance with the moniters ex your walking forward or north so moniter 1 and someone or a few people seeking up behind you say moniters 3 and 7 or say Moniter 6? Would you have to spin in a 180 or whatever in the Gaming chair in there direction where you hear foot steps from to that moniter then shoot em? I guess in a 360 field of view vision?
So 6 monitors would make the 360. I believe your pc would be the first problem. Then would you be playing a VR game? That's the only way this would work lol not sure why but I see this being a standing set up. One you duck under then play standing maybe on a sensor pad? The more I think the more I'm getting excited about this idea lol 💯😁
Awesome! Keep me updated on how you like it. 👍 Also, what pc are you using? I'm thinking about updating my Alienware x51 pc for the latest Aurora R16 pc. 😀
Nice review! - Some gaming monitors have built in speakers like the SoundBar on HUAWEI MateView GT 34' and some models of the Odyssey also have built in speakers and are still called monitors not TVs
I finally upgraded my pc ive had since 2016 so that ment also a new monitor since in still stuck on a 60hz tv screen lol. I found the g5 for 400 euro here in the Netherlands and just went with it. I was a bit sceptical reading some reviews about its brightness but honestly coming from a 60hz screen i doubt ill care so much. I already blew over 2.5k on the pc alone so i didn't wanna overblown it too much with a expensive monitor. Excited to see it in action soon! Maybe in a year or so ill upgrade to oled if i really enjoy the experience but burn in is still definitely something im unsure about. Id hate to have to buy a new monitor every other year because of it. Anyways excellent review sir!
Hey Lucas awesome videos! i just watched this review and the samsung viewfinity s5 review that you did. which one do you recommend to get for web design, dev and gaming? PS and not a heavy gamer. thank you in advance!
Okay so buying a curved monitor changes how you view things (because they are not straight across) so my first thought is get the flat panel for design. But the flat panel is less imersive for gaming. So I'd say buy the curved monitor with the understanding it might be too curved. Or get the flat panel to be safe. But I'm definitely obsessed with curved monitors for all aspects of use.
I have an Asus Tuf Gaming monitor 165hz and it has speakers in it. I was surprised when I found that out. Looking at this monitor to make it my main display and have the other as a secondary.
I think gaming monitors are adding speakers. But I'll ask, are the speakers any good on your Asus? Yeah, this monitor is amazing you can't go wrong. If you buy it, definitely keep me posted.
@@AtHomewithLucas OK so my question is, with it only having 1 hdmi, could I use display port for pc and hdmi for ps5 to alternate between the two pictures?
@@AtHomewithLucas I decided to go with the LG UltraGear 34GP83A-B. Has no smearing, IPS, and true 1ms response time. I’m running a 7800x3d with a 4080 coming in the mail.

@AtHomewithLucas also do you use transducers aka bass shakers on your gaming chair ?
No I don't
Thanks for the review, I just ordered mine for my new gaming setup.

Yes I reviewed an AOC monitor with terrible speakers on the back and it's still a monitor so my knowledge of monitors might be old-school lol 😆

Oh, that's awesome! Keep me updated on how you like the monitor. I think it will look good enough to hold off buying a oled for many, many years.
@elitepauper How are you liking it? I'll use 99% for work and occasionally gaming.
Thanks for the review @Lucas.
Happy to help 😁
what I did to get rid of the flashing bars was to change the display port version in the menu. If using HDMI that version can be changed as well.
Oh that's a great idea. Let me give it a try! 😁

Yeah, this monitor is amazing you can't go wrong. If you buy it, definitely keep me posted.
If you haven't done this already you might try setting your graphics card resolution to the resolution of the monitor...might fix some quirks.
My graphics card (ZOTAC Gaming GeForce GTX 1660) is set to the monitor settings as far as I know.
@@AtHomewithLucas Ok good but you can check the resolution in the Geforce control panel if you need to and thanks for the video.
Yes I did check and my graphics card is running 100hz at 3440x1440
Any good on a ps5? Currently building a sim rig, so looking to be able to change between pc and ps5 for racing games
Yes I'd say this would be perfect
@@AtHomewithLucas OK so my question is, with it only having 1 hdmi, could I use display port for pc and hdmi for ps5 to alternate between the two pictures?
Definitely! Just hit the multiple function button to switch between inputs.
@@AtHomewithLucas great, thanks
@nextgengaming7803 happy to help
Would have talked to support about the 165Hz thing before making the video - that was a big unresolved meatball
So my graphics card is not powerful enough to handle 165hz that's all.
I get mine tomorrow should have done more research though because I heard it has terrible smearing and high ms
What pc are you running?

Oh that's awesome! Keep me updated on how you like the LG. I need to review a good one on this channel.
@@AtHomewithLucas I get it tomorrow, will let you know first impressions and performance!
Does it support 4k gaming?
Well, it's not a 4k monitor, so no, it won't display a 4k image, only a 2k image. But yes, you can run a 4k gaming rig on this monitor.
Samsung G5 34 OR AOC CU34G2XP 34 ?
I'd get the Samsung because the screen is much better. Also, the Aoc stand is not good.
is it good for movies ??
Not regular movies (16:9) but great for movies that are 21:9 aspect ratio. Regular movies will have bars on both sides.
@@AtHomewithLucas thanks 👍
