This isn’t six republicans debating each other. This six republicans getting demolished by two gigachads.

LB: "buzzword buzzword buzzword, I'm very serious about this, Trump Joe Biden buzzword"
Mod: "you did not even attempt to answer the question."
"You basically gave 30 seconds of a biography, and that was your choice."
Absolute beast
I LOVED that response 😂

He was absolutely correct too lol
I would have asked lauren boebert "at the age of 34 you tried and failed to pass the GED test three times before paying someone to take the test for you. What questions did you struggle with the most?"
If true devestating
That's like a Between Two Ferns bit.
I can't believe she's only two years older than me..
Moderator: "So how are you going to deport the 10 million illegal immigrants?"
Boebert: "Yes, we are going to deport the 10 million illegal immigrants"
Ah, but you see: We will.
"I answered that! If we're busing and flying people in, we can bus and fly them out!"
Love the response being basically a "How? Who?" and Boebert is like "TRUMP WILL FIGURE IT OUT!"
Love how the fascists and Soviets get rightly criticized for mass deportations but now it's a normalized policy issue for Republicans

I would do so many unspeakable actions to have a moderator like this for presidential primary and general debates
I’m with you how many crappy moderators do we have get rid of. To get them to the presidential debate?
Kyle Clark has a show called Next here in Colorado covering a lot of local politics stuff, he’s pretty good.
...I cant say I'll do unspeakable things, but i have a Klondike bar 6 pack and I would gladly share 2 of them.
Get that mf to do the Biden trump debates
I'd pay to see this moderator push Donald Trump on his claim that the 2020 Election was stolen.
"For the audience at home, in case you missed it, here are the embarrassing and detailed specifics of this guy's reckless drunk driving".
Incredible. No notes.
With a stone cold delivery.
"I'm not interested in getting into the sordid details, but here's a recap of them anyways."
The moderators were great. Very satisfying to see them state bluntly and clearly that the candidate did not answer the question after they spent a minute talking in vagueries.
There is no such word as "vagueries" in English. There is a word "vagaries" and it means unpredictable or erratic, something taking a wandering course. It would be better just to say "they spent a minute speaking vaguely".
@@spacecase8888 or the exact same thing he said, spelt correctly.
@@spacecase8888 I've heard people use it, I like it, and I will continue to use it. Wiktionary has an entry on it as a plural of "vaguery" and that's enough for me.

These moderators actually held their feet to the fire and hit back on ALL of their bullshit talking points, and they also put the politicians answers into context for their viewers, without letting the politicians bullshit answers just hang their.
This was fucking amazing. I want these guys for EVERY debate.
When the guy says “I live in the same house my father lived in…” I couldn’t get past just thinking how much of an advantage he got from starting with a free house.
It’s such a huge thing. Imagine being able to focus on life without the need to give most of your income to shelter.
40% of income going to housing is just stupid
And then add the generational wealth he inherited from 100 years of immigrant exploitation
My parents paid off the house as quickly as they could so that me and my siblings would always have a home they can come back to even if something happened to them. Not having to pay rent or mortgage for all of my 20s was definitely a huge advantage that gave me way extra cash on hand and I'm thankful for their sacrifices.
If these guys were the ones moderating the presidential debates, it would make for some of the greatest television of all time.
Having a haunting smile is a prerequisite to being a republican.
Specifically the politicians at anything higher than county government. It’s weird, the average Republican voter is pretty normal in appearance.
I have always noted the "GOP smirk" whether on TV, book covers, etc. that says "I know I am peddling BS, even BS that defies logic, but you will believe everything I say."

11:13 You notice Republicans generally talk about representing land. Democrats generally talk about representing people. Why is that, I wonder.
Like the unborn they love to represent, land has a hard time saying anything to the contrary.
Yep. You also ever notice how Republicans like to refer to people groups as "they" or "[adjective]s", while Dems tend to refer to people groups as "[adjective] people"?
Example: "The blacks" as opposed to "black people". "The gays" as opposed to "gay people". Etc.
Because it’s an under the radar way of saying “the wealthy people in the area”. Think about it. Who generally owns the most “land” in a given area?
@@yoyohayli it’s to dehumanize them.
Makes it easier to make them “an enemy” or a “scapegoat”.
Neither of them represent the working class, so it's a moot point.
Boebert always sounds like she's being physically assaulted when someone asks her a simple question about things she wants to do
The other candidates should have gone way harder against Boebert. She isn't popular with the people there already and they would love to see them really trolling her and talking about her being an embarrassment and public "degenerate" (as they like to say.)
Her ego is paper thin because she knows she's inexperienced and largely winging it completely. The fact that she's got this far politically is a failure of the American system
Fuck that guy was insane, love the line. Gfy Jimmy ❤ @@jaimefernandez2624

This guy should be the standard for how every moderator should treat Republicans in debates
@Advent3546 Almost there! This is how moderators in any debate should behave.
Hell, I'll take them in Democratic debates too. But especially for Republican ones
@@MindForgedManacle you're right, no politician should be coddled and they need to be challenged.
I think every debate, regardless of the political positions, should be moderated by people who openly LOATHE all the participants. But we may run out of angry 16 year old liberals called Aspen at some point , they hate everyone .
you mean who moderators should treat any candidate. but yeah, true
NEVER trust a person who will not answer a yes-no question asked in good faith. Listen to enough debates and you'll see an unwillingness to be concise is a huge red flag.
It's less about being concise and more about being direct. A straight yes or no followed by a ten minute long autistic infodump as to why is good. A five minute runaround where the person refuses to ever directly approach the answer and then just trails off into nothing is bad.
For a cable news presenter, that man knows how to accessorize. The glasses matching the tie with the glasses shaped tie clip, really ties the whole look together
Kyle Clark has a show called Next here in Colorado covering a lot of local politics stuff, he’s pretty good.
I need the moderator to be available for hire so I can break him out anytime I get into a disagreement with someone.
"Oh, so *I* should've washed the dishes even though it was your turn?"
"okay but you know I was busy wi---"
"You chose to not answer the question so we'll be moving on."
as fun as it might sound, I don't think most disagreements deserve that level of attitude and sass. who absolutely DOES deserve it is Boebert and the rest of those clowns.
@@summerlovinxx I think its' a joke bruh, the profile pic looks like a happy couple. If your level of trust and respect between you and your partner have dropped to how Republican voters feel about their candidates at the primary level, you should have parted ways awhile back. They'll join and put on a front at national level, but then take it out on the candidates that they had to act nice. The vitriol received by repubs is so high. But it must be higher and dems need to match it. Stop treating your congresspeople like humans if they ain't acting right.
I wanna hire that moderator for every debate
I recall part of an episode of Seinfeld where George got roped into watching someone's stuff on the sidewalk. George then tried to con a stranger into doing the same so that he could leave. Without missing a step the stranger responded to the effect of "why? So that I can get stuck standing here all day?" and left. Jerry followed the stranger. George asked "where are YOU going?" Jerry answered "I want to be that guy's friend." That's the way I feel about the moderator.
I've been trying to preach about Kyle Clark for years. He's the best local news person ive ever seen. This isnt even the first time he's been involved in a national political story based on his local coverage. Hes a absolute gem.
My grandma and grandpa would make a point to put his show on when they ate dinner lol.
When he drops the guys entire police report about his drunk driving I think I died and went to heaven. Holy shit that was amazing.
All moderators should be as hostile as possible to the candidates during political debates.
"One of my favorite pieces of legislation that I helped to pass was-"
"There's only one, isn't there"
"We all want the same thing.. good job... food on the table" That is true. I think the difference is conservatives want that for themselves but liberals want that for everyone.
Maybe not everyone... But most people, more people certainly...
Nope, everyone. There's absolutely no reason anyone should go hungry considering the amount of wealth floating around the planet, none at all.
And yeah, even that one guy you hate. He still deserves roof, board and safety and there is more than enough for him to do so.
It's just that simple.
Well, leftists want that for everyone. Liberals kind of larp about it but don't really want it for anyone they relegate to the NIMBY memory hole.
@@MH3RaiserThe one guy I hate (conservative) should be guaranteed a house, a meal, a job, and an internet connection, because how else am I gonna make fun of him for his dumb racist comments on social media?
Yu and conservatives play this card pretty often, and genuinely hate their own 'results' if they actually did what they virtue-signalled for.
They want good jobs for themselves, but everyone else can get the shitty needed jobs that they profiteer from. They want food on their table, but when prices hike up, they'll deny a min.wage increase and attack anyone who's struggling.
It's not that they're just selfish, (or that liberals are too different beyond having *SOME* compassion) They're actively aiming to increase these problems. If they actually wanted people having better jobs. they fight for better pay and better worker rights. They do not. IF they wanted people to afford the basics, they'd attack the companies who lobby them.. But that would cost them their 12 vacations a year.
The other day my parents had the most conservative brain rot conversation I’ve ever heard about Caitlin Clark, which involved my dad transvestigating her and my mom calling out her “black teammates” for being jealous of her skill. It really makes you wonder. My mother has multiple masters degrees in medicine and worked as the personal physician for Uma Thurman and her parents when Uma was a teenager. How do you go from that to this?
Media. Keep being told something and have an interest in it being true and it’s easy to live in an alternate reality
Right wing media has done the equivalent of microwaving your parents' brains
NIMBYism, I assume
Being a boomer is a terminal condition. It will get them eventually.
In the mid 90s a large cable network did a little test. That test was to take conservative radio talk shows and put them on tv. They called this little experiment “the Fox News network” and it took this brand of propaganda from obscure nonsense that only hillbillies with three whole teeth would consume, to everyone absorbing that particular brain rot. I believe your parents and many others are result of this little experiment.
I need a Darksouls style 'you died' everytime he shuts them down but it says in big red letters:
*M O D E R A T E D*
That would fit better with GTA's "Wasted"
or metal gear. "Boebert? Boebert! BOOOEEBEEEERRRT!"
The school choice lady who was like "Yeah, the poors also need school choice so they can leave the poor schools" just baffles me. Like... do you think their school sucks because of their zip code's aura or something? Yeah, everyone should just leave bad schools and go to good ones. Surely there wasn't a reason the bad schools are bad, which you're completely neglecting to factor in, both as a problem with your proposed solution and as a root cause in itself. No one who has thought about this for more than 10 minutes should be this stupid about something that's so obviously not a real solution at scale.
"who has thought about this for more than 10 minutes" that is not the voter base she is going for.
The point is to make life hell for Whitey.
They have, they are not stupid, they are liars - the really just want private everything because that is part of their (actual) religion.
Usually they just say shit like "This will incentivize the 'bad schools' to do better than the 'good schools'," because people treat education like it's a business.

"Would you like to answer the question?" These were the most aggressive moderators I've ever seen. It's honestly refreshing to see moderators grill politicians so hard.
I'm stunned by the moderators. I need this in every political debate.
You gotta love how the mods moved the topic away from immigration and on to economics and grocery prices impacting poor families, and all we got was Boebert waffling about energy for some reason, followed by a question from one of the candidates to another ABOUT IMMIGRATION, thus referring the topic riiiight back to the ONLY thing Republicans think they can use as a platform.
This moderating is literally all youd have to do to Trump.
People think trump and cruz are good debaters. No theyre idiots who say "excuse me" until theyre allowed to go on like clowns.

I don't think those on the right are actually used to having hardball questions like this come out this fast (or, in most cases, at all).
In the South West of the country we have an underclass of farmhands that aren't even citizens. In my opinion: security check, disease check, you're a resident, 4 years of work and you're a citizen.
If they get citizenship, they'd be entitled to minimum wage. I'm sure the ones runnig those farms will do what they can to prevent having to pay a fair wage.
@@ChrisLeeW00 It's true, low wages are an almost universal boon that decreases prices and therefore enriches everyone, but with a stream of immigrants from all over the world they crowd out labor that could be used to pay citizens a much higher wage.
I imagine that anyone who did those jobs in the fields without immigrants would charge as much as a union plumber does today (and have their own unions in every state), but since the wages of the workers and the truckers and the maintenance guys at walmart/costco etc. including everything from electricians to the janitor's salaries the cost of wages would be one (electricians) to 3 (janitors) times higher than now each, the price of the goods would probably multiply by 3. A dozen eggs may cost almost $10 for example which is insane and doesn't fix the problem of needing high wages for low-skilled labor and yet low prices. No one's figured out how to do that yet except by paying so low a wage that your employees qualify for medicaid which everyone pays for from profits including your employer..

Don’t worry they won’t or don’t care
@angelantayhua3096 solid disagree, people come out and vote, but they arent battleground states, so it doesnt matter as much as it should
That's kind of the goal.. Trumpettes *WANT* the fascist state. Republican voters may be apprehensive, but they'll usually happily accept a fascist state if it means they'll be in power.. Kind of a Catch-22..
There aren't sane Trump-supporters anymore, Genuinely. YOu could explain the exact same goals of trump as biden and they'll correctly idenitify it as fascism and anti-freedom. But if you tie Trump's name into it, they'll be blinded by "Well of course, Trump!"
Honestly, helping them realize how anti-freedom it is, might just make them more excited to vote for trump, Better to crush their ego and point out failures of his, It won't turn them off of supporting trump, but it might make them less likely to vote.

homie asks Boebert for a Detailed answer about the logistics of mass deportation and she comes with: “buses can bring them in, buses can bring them out.” I’ve been keeping up with US politics for a long time, and I was still- albeit briefly- gobsmacked by how stupid that answer is. It’s difficult to even counter because there are so many problems at such basic, even infantile, levels of logic, that it’s nearly impossible to point them out without at least implicitly insulting the person. Setting aside the possible merit of that insult, it’s not productive because it gives anyone listening an excuse to write you off as a jerk or subvert the discussion into one about decorum. Political cults are ROUGH to deal with, y’all! And language is mad flawed.

The only difference between small towns in rural America is varying degrees of racism.
And classism
1:06:45 it is technically and completely true that we are in an interglacial period. The definition of an Ice Age is as simple as there being a glacier on a planet which lasts more than one year. Ask any glaciologist. What we call the current period is qn “interglacial period”, which is part of the current ice age. That statement is not at all controversial in relation to climate change, but coming from Lauren Boebert, I suspect she has twisted this very basic fact to somehow disregard climate change.
Copy&Paste towns are mostly a US thing. I'm not saying that every shack in the old world has the cultural output of LA, but there are strong regional rural cultures as well.
That's kinda to be expected with a country that isn't very old.
