I have an Air2s and an Avata. For taking great cinematic shots - reveals, pans, trucking along side a vehicle, etc. the Air 2s is great. For flying through trees, diving following skiers, bikes, etc. the Avata is crazy fun as is just ripping around and flying without filming at all. I've never taken the Air 2s out for a good rip to just fly, but i do with the Avata all the time.
love this comparison! I think a big edge for the geprc mark 5 is that for people who are mechanically inclined and willing to take the time to do the research and learn, the cost for being able to repair those fpv drones yourself is a huge benefit over the avata. even though the avata is built like a tank, if it does break, it’s very hard to repair it yourself vs “regular” fpv drones where you can easily swap out parts for a much cheaper price. keep up the awesome content!
Agreed. And buying another drone to add more variety to your shots, just cost you around $400/500 extra (lets say a cinewhoop). All the other parts can easily be reused (which isnt the case for the DJI drones).
And if you are starting with fpv drones, don't go with the DJI remote, go with someting like the Radiomaster TX16. With this remote you can chose a lot of radio link options.

Anyone new to drones and they are not sure what kind they want to end up using, a mini 2 isn’t going to cost you a fortune, a fly more combo retail is like 600, you can get just drone, controller, and a single battery even cheaper. With a nearly 30 minutes flight time , a single battery is probably enough. Do this before you drop 1500 or 2000 dollars on a drone. If you aren’t going to make a career of it, you are going to get bored with camera drones, unless you just really like video and picks. If you want a drone for occasional flights , vacations and that type of thing, a mini 2 is all you need. You will find all that obstacle avoidance is in the way most of the time. If you learn to fly in atti mode first , no gps, learn to control the drone with no gps first. When you fly gps you will already be way better than many many drone operators out there right now, they lose gps and they aren’t close enough to see their drone clearly, they are toast. Learn to fly atti first, you will make it home everytime the battery allows it. 98 percent of people who want to fly drones won’t have the patients to learn to fly FPV. There are tiny complete set up for fpv drones to just fly around your house, those will show you how hard it actually is to fly fpv and it won’t cost but a couple hundred bucks to see if you want to do it. My first drone was a DJI spark, lol, I crashed that thing so many times I don’t know how it survived in tact, they were rarely easy crashes, I’m talking bounced off the ground knock the battery out of the craft crashes, good luck and stay sub 250 until you know what you want to do long term. That’s the best advice I could give anyone interested. But what do I know?…..lol……I’m nobody……..

Love my mini 3 Pro, I do professional work with it and the clients love the results and I love the size! Maybe one day I will upgrade to a Mavic 3….maybe not lol 😂 Great video
I sold my Mavic Air 2 and the Mini 2 and then invested in a fly more set of DJI Mavic Air 2S. The reason: 10 bit video and 5K6. Next one will be the Mavic 3. If I'm right this is the first drone with a C1 certificate. Which is very important. For now I am VERY happy with the 2S. The image quality is amazing.
@@apriltv1999 A1/A3 is easy and the price is not too high. A2 depends on the course. If you want to skip all of that you might consider a DJI Mavic Mini 3 or Mini 3 Pro. These drones are below 250 grams of weight. No need for any license but registration here in the EU is always needed. First time costs 21 Euro's and after that 13 Euro per year.
I have a DJI mini 1 (yes one)(had it for 3yrs now), and enjoy it. I've been looking into the FPV world. Can I use my mini controller with the simulator?
I disagree. With the resent firmware upgrade of the Avata, it shoots very good cinema quality videos. I also have an air 2s and I just sold my inspire 1. I have a ton of fun with the Avata but I do enjoy both drones
Never stated that it’s a bad camera, but it’s not even close to the video capabilities of a Air2S or the Mavic 3. The O3 unit isn’t made to capture a detailed image, it’s first and foremost a transmission unit 😊
Wow, Peter! This video was so informative and entertaining! I learned a lot about the different drones and their features. You are such a talented filmmaker and storyteller.👏👏👏 I love your drone shots and how you capture the beauty of nature. I also have a passion for drone photography and videography. I have a UA-cam channel called SkySights Germany where I share my aerial views of Germany’s landscapes and cities.🇩🇪 I hope you enjoy it and maybe get some inspiration for your next drone adventure.😊 Keep up the amazing work, Peter! You are awesome!✨
Id say if you've never flown drones before decide how interested you actually are. Then buy a somewhat good drone. A bad experience with a super cheap drone can ruin your experience
Just starting my FPV journey with the Avata. Practiced a bunch in the sim and had my first flight out today. Crashed probably 4x because I was doing rolls and flips when I should have been doing orbitals and flying straight 🤦🏻♂️ but I’m hooked. Utility wise I think we will start to see FPV more often for certain type of feature films and a lot more for real estate. Especially with Avata for flying indoors with a “low risk” factor.
So many new laws and ordinances are being made around flying drones…That’s the biggest thing to consider before buying…Are you ready follow all the rules, get harassed, and/or face civil disputes?
No such thing as the best. Like saying what's the best car? Every manufactures has pros and cons and good and bad drones. Like he says in the video, it all depend on your needs, how you use it.

Thanks for this introduction into this world!! If anyone could help me, which simulator was he using ? thanks already for the answers !
LiftOff!
Do u get a certificate to fly your drone ?
@@apriltv1999 Ik took two courses to get my A1/A3 and A2 license and I registered my drone so that I can fly it around.
@@GertKracht is it hard to obtain ?

@@apriltv1999 A1/A3 is easy and the price is not too high. A2 depends on the course.
If you want to skip all of that you might consider a DJI Mavic Mini 3 or Mini 3 Pro. These drones are below 250 grams of weight. No need for any license but registration here in the EU is always needed. First time costs 21 Euro's and after that 13 Euro per year.
I have a DJI mini 1 (yes one)(had it for 3yrs now), and enjoy it. I've been looking into the FPV world. Can I use my mini controller with the simulator?
You need an FPV controller for the simulator!
How did you add that sweet text design thing at the corner of every scene? O.o
Wow, Peter! This video was so informative and entertaining! I learned a lot about the different drones and their features. You are such a talented filmmaker and storyteller.👏👏👏
I love your drone shots and how you capture the beauty of nature. I also have a passion for drone photography and videography. I have a UA-cam channel called SkySights Germany where I share my aerial views of Germany’s landscapes and cities.🇩🇪
I hope you enjoy it and maybe get some inspiration for your next drone adventure.😊 Keep up the amazing work, Peter! You are awesome!✨
Great video 😍👍
The fun in flying a mavic is making great shots, the fun in fpv is actually flying the thing
Yup haha!
Hi Peter, have you tested the GEPRC controller with the LiftOff simulator? Can you connect it over USB-C to your computer?
As long as you have a USB C - USB A cable, then both. Controllers work fine 👍🏼
@@PeterLindgren1 Thanks!
Peter What you think about dji air 2s ???
Great drone!
@@PeterLindgren1 thanks bro i am going to buy soon. Love From Pakistan ♥
Är det okej att filma så i Göteborg på gatorna och broar utan att fråga om lov?
Peter has a huge hammer
If its not Mjölnir no care.
Здравствуйте. Скажите пожалуйста, какой плагин используете для титров имени и подписки? Спасибо 😉

What do you think about the autel ones?
what flight permits must be obtained before the flight
Its location dependent. I don't live that far from the airport, so I know I have restrictions. Isn't he in Sweden?
Id say if you've never flown drones before decide how interested you actually are. Then buy a somewhat good drone. A bad experience with a super cheap drone can ruin your experience
Great content
Just starting my FPV journey with the Avata. Practiced a bunch in the sim and had my first flight out today. Crashed probably 4x because I was doing rolls and flips when I should have been doing orbitals and flying straight 🤦🏻♂️ but I’m hooked.
Utility wise I think we will start to see FPV more often for certain type of feature films and a lot more for real estate. Especially with Avata for flying indoors with a “low risk” factor.
Gracias por el video, eres el mejor, saludos...
Dji mini 3 pro is the best all around drone for beginner and pro :)
you make so cool videos
Dji3 pro
hello Peter... its my first time here ... haha.. well maybe not.. haha..
great advice as always.. lets go.....
Hi Peter I am a follower of your youtube channel. I have a mini 2 could you help me with tips 🇬🇷
Me who has flown a drone for 8 years wanting to buy a drone still thinking in a beginner
Thumbs up 👍 🍻
Awesome.
So many new laws and ordinances are being made around flying drones…That’s the biggest thing to consider before buying…Are you ready follow all the rules, get harassed, and/or face civil disputes?
So basically it’s just “which dji drone you should buy” though yea I would say dji drones are the best
No such thing as the best. Like saying what's the best car? Every manufactures has pros and cons and good and bad drones. Like he says in the video, it all depend on your needs, how you use it.
Sir u needed to post this sooner for me not to have already bought a drone in 2023
