That would make sense. If that were the case, there should’ve been an episode where she is given another chance at having fairy godparents, and Timmy would teach her how to keep them a secret.

I think the episode birthday wish also shows indirectly, why Tootie does not have any own fairy's. She is in this episode often so close to reveal Timmy's fairys, that I think that she did actually had her own fairy once, but was not able to keep it a secret. But that's just my personal head-canon. Even came up with an OC who was Tootie's Fairy, and feels so sorry for her that he starts fighting against the fairy rules.
Because she didn't want people to just think she was being spoiled. As Tootie said in that very episode "That would be rude!" She wanted people to know why she getting her every wish. Keeping it as a secret in her head is unjust & wrong.
This is actually a fantastic explanation as to why she doesn’t have any. Wish the show had thought of this. Imagine A scenario where Timmy meets Tootie’s old fairy and they try to convince Timmy to start making wishes for Tootie. Feel like that would work great.
I wouldn't ask for Tootie to replace Chloe (It's a lost cause), I just wished we had more good Tootie episodes, but if they did I would've loved a scene were they have to keep her quite (and probably restrained.) while they explained Da rules BEFORE revealing they can grant wishes (Sort a callback the Birthday Wish ep) and have the reason Timmy spends more time with her is because he's worried about her spilling the secret...oh and bring back Da Rules when it comes to some conflicts.

Alpha Jay Show I don't think it's that his parents don't care about him.There've been alot of episodes that show they love him,It's just that they're not very smart & don't give him as much attention as they should.Anyway i think season 11 will happen but butch hartman & the old writers will come back,sparky is a backgrounder,& he starts sharing his fairies with either Chester or Tootie,and they kick Chloe's Annoying crotch off the show
Personally , I think it would be pretty cool if Timmy and Tootie shared fairies instead of adding another pointless character. Also, I also want to point out how lazy the writers are for getting rid of Sparky without a reason. I know Sparky got a lot of hate and never really should have been a part of the show , but they should at least make an episode concerning why Sparky is gone. Another thing I want to point out is the episode "Vicky gets fired" were Timmy was actually glad that Vicky got fired unlike in Channel Chasers.

I generally think the only thing that keeps Tootie from being miserable enough to have fairies is Timmy(or she might have had them but lost them.). I'm also guessing since Vicky pretty much babysits all the time, Tootie gets regular rest bits from her torment. Actually the only thing wrong with Tootie is how often she's utterly forgotten.

Sure, but then, the series kind of collapsed in on its own continuity and rules, I couldn't tell you how, for example, Chester lacks fairies.
Generally, I think the world is explicitly Timmys interpretation of it- hence why his parents are so transparent about how neglectful they are, and why people talk like they do in the show- saying things that would more likely be kept in their head if at all.
For me, the series ended with Channel Chasers. Mostly because it confirmed Timmy and (more than likely) Tooty lived happily ever after. Tooty is fairly underrated, I think. Your points pretty much back that up for me, e.g. similar backgrounds, etc.

I can agree. Episodes like the musical one proves there's interesting stuff in seasons 5 and onwards, but just not for a whole episode. Mostly because the whole show had to destroy Da Literal Rules in order to continue. See Ebert's "Idiot Plot", that sums it up perfectly.

Y'see, there's the rub: how lenient can you go before a series starts to rot? I do agree that the later seasons have some good bits, but I'll always take quality over quantity. I mean, how many whole episodes can we actually remember from 5 through 9? With the exception of the utterly ridiculous Wishology.

Am I the only one who wished the fairy odd parents it would be nice to do slow character development regarding the relationship between Timmy and Tootie? Eventually growing closer, maybe ultimately growing into a romantic relationship. That would also set up a good note to end the series; Timmy ultimately having to let go of his fairies for Tootie. (Yes I know the movie did this, but well come on we all know how poorly that went. Don't knock the idea, just execution. )
I agree that Tootie is a way better character than Chloe. I think if I were to re-write the debut episode of Chloe I would re-write it where Timmy has to share his Fairly God Parents with Tootie instead of Chloe because they both go through the same kind of issues and thus it would make sense logically to make them share Fairly Odd Parents.(It would also give me a reason not to create Chloe in the first place.)
That and the 2nd reason is due to the whole not allowed to have a fairy baby part of Fairly Odd Baby Jorgan can say to Timmy also that there's a shortage because of that reason. But not because they're doing other things it would be because Earth has too many kids and thus there wouldn't be enough Fairy God Parents to keep up. It would be both clever in the sense it references a real world phenomenon and it be a logical explanation for why Jorgan said this in the first place.
Another thing would be to keep Tootie the same but coming to the realization that Timmy this whole time had Fairy Godparents. It could also be a way for the writers to bring up continuity in a proper way because of the Birthday episode with Tootie. And then Timmy would have to tell Tootie to not tell anybody else or there could be serious consequences. I think it would also give them more character development throughout Season 10 to perhaps build up a great friendship.
(Considering by this point we know Timmy and Tootie are going to be a couple whether looking at the live action movies or even Channel Chasers the writers might as well do this.)
Though, those are just my ideas. If they were to do that and if they had more strong writing it would of saved Season 10 from becoming typical Nick programming schlock. But again these are just my ideas for how I would of made Season 10 infinitely better than Season 9 just by a few ideas alone. Anyways yeah great video and it's definitely another reason for me to say Chloe was a useless character we didn't need in the first place.

I mean honestly if Cholé wasn't such a Mary Sue I could stand F.O.P again. I think Tootie or Chester would had been a better fit because they were from the O.G seasons (early seasons) of F.O.P. And their lives sucked ass. People don't take change well. Especially if new characters end up showing up in new seasons back to back basically without any reasonable explanation, and when literally one of the MAIN characters is a MARY SUE. I swear season 10 is basically a F.O.P bad fanfic.

I think Trixie would have been an interesting choice to share with Timmy as A: She has been shown to not have a lot of self confidence as shown in The Boy who would be Queen where we saw that she wasn't comfortable enough with herself to reveal her love of things outside her "gender role" unlike Timmy and in Just the two of us where she is shown to need near constant validation from others and is terrified of being alone. Something that shows clear misery in my book. And B: She has been shown to actually like Timmy when he decides to stop trying to impress everybody and just be himself such as in A wish to far and The boy who would be queen. But has to hide it out of fear of loosing her fair weather friends.

Hey Alpha Jay Show, I remember in the first season that Tootie seemed to have a very good relationship with Vicky. I mean, Vicky and her teamed up to gang up on Timmy for Pete's sake. I don't know where Butch Hartman went wrong and decided to make Vicky an abusive older sister towards her sister or why their parents don't do anything to help their youngest daughter. I remember in the first season that Vicky was actually afraid of getting into trouble with her parents, mainly her mother. Whatever happened to Vicky and Tootie's brother? I only heard him scream on the phone. He was probably a gag.

the problem is that tootie is too similar to timmy. it might be easier to write but with chole there's difference in wants and morals tootie and timmy might do something like wish for a bully for francis so he doesn't bully them but chole would do something like make him nice like the EP Frenemy Mine. they want a contrast to timmys reckless and usually stupid shenanigans.

an interesting thought: fairys only have power and live as long as they grant wishes in the show. if there is a fairy shortage but the demand for fairys is incresing higher, could that not imply that perhaps maybe some fairys could be dying or that they dont have enough miserable people granting wishes? if this were the case sharing timmys fairys with his selfless NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR makes perfect sense. as chloe would make many wishes to help others and timy would make many to harm them.
I've been watching Invader Zim for quite a long while since I was 9 or 7. And I always wondered why do I love Zim? I mean he's the bad guy but why do I like him as a character, or why do I root for him more than I do Dip?
Perhaps it's because you like him and since the show treats humanity like it's far from being salvageable it makes Zim look like a character to root for. IDK that's just one perhaps reason but maybe i'm off. Maybe you like him for different reasons than I do. But then again i'm not even a big fan of Invader Zim because it's not my kinda show unfortunately.
Maybe it's because Zim isn't taken seriously by the leaders he looks up to, and this makes his efforts somehow look sympathetic?
+matthew “Mister M” Kellar Zim is the protagonist so it makes sense. You're seeing him more and his traits/actions might relate to you despite the evil intentions. Also, I don't think Zim succeeded in what he did all the time, since he has mean intentions.

Super late but whatever. I've always thought that the reason why Tootie never got fairy's despite the fact that she's twice as miserable as Timmy is that unlike Timmy, she can't be trusted to keep her fairy's a secret as birthday wish established, meaning that no matter how miserable she is she simply can't have fairy.
Well to be fair she was also pressured by croacker I feel like if they shared the same Timmy would be able to teach her not to tell then she would understand Bc she would never want to disobey him as long as they should hang out
So, here's my take. I didn't mind the handwaved reason for the fairy shortage. Ridiculous gags like the fairies moving on to different careers are amusing enough and ridiculous gags are a definite part of the series even from earlier. I'm not a fan of the plot point itself, but I don't mind the justification since the show has always lived by rule of funny and refuge in audacity. The execution of Chloe, on the other hand, was just bad. I won't go too far into it because everyone knows she really doesn't need fairies.
Now, a lot of people like to point to Chester for getting Fairies. I have talked about this in depth on Tumblr before, but I disagree with the assessment. The main reason for this is, except when a radical change happens to his father due to wish influence (like him becoming a great baseball player), the love and respect he and his father share is the most hesrtwarming and genuine bond of the entire show. Chester deals with Vicky, Denzel, and Francis, but far less than Timmy has to. People bring up how poor he is, but that ignores a major point: he doesn't mind being poor. He loves his trailer home and his father, and he's usually almost hopelessly optimistic. His father also genuinely loves and cares for him, and when he got fairies in Fairy Idol, a big part of his being miserable was due to Bucky being made good at baseball and getting addicted to thw celebrity of it, neglecting Chester. In Wishful Life, for one, we don't know how different his childhood may have been, seeing only a glimpse, but more importantly, it was all a troll simulation by Jorgen to teach Timmy a lesson, so anything there is to be taken with a grain of salt at minimum. We see with the episode Timmy runs away and joins the carnival that fairies are trickster mentors when they feel they need to teach a lesson, and the carnival was a fabrication to use as a tool to teach them. Logically the same should apply to Wishful Life. But when Bucky is in character, we see a lot of moments through the series (at least, when Chester was still a character), how much they care about each other. Timmy's parents are borderline (and often past the border) criminally neglectful, and their neglect was the major catalyst for Timmy getting his Godparents. Basically, he didn't have caring parents, so he was given them. Chester not only has a consistently loving father and loves him just as much, but Bucky McBadbat, infamous worst baseball player ever, who literaly has to hide his face under a bag of shame, is Chester's hero. He has a parent to teach and raise him, and Timmy really didn't.
As for Tootie, there's a couple ideas I have here. She lives with possibly the second most evil being in FOP, for one, which makes any fairy presence very dangerous. She also can't keep a secret to save her life, and it's hypothesised she once did have fairies and lost them by spilling the secret. This fits her characterisation perfectly because she almost did the exact same thing in Birthday Wish. She's also clearly unstable, moreso than the likes of Timmy. There is likely some reservation about giving fairies to demonstrably insane kids.
Some joke options: Sanjay? They don't want to write a yaoi and honestly he has barely any character outside of his crush on Timmy. Also seems to not exist anymore. Veronica? Crazier than Tootie (dresses up as and tries to convince everyone, including herself, that she is Trixie), plus she has that major crush on Timmy and isn't a popular ship like Trixie and Tootie. Trixie? Well, for one, they seem to be going to the Timmy/Tootie endgame (if it ever ends), and she's honestly too different from Timmy. To do a fairy share well, the kids would have to spend a lot of time together. This with Timmy and Trixie for an extended period would change too much of the social dynamics of the show, which would be more fitting for a more dramatic, less episodic format than FOP is. Elmer? Bob is the single greatest evil in the universe and don't try to tell me otherwise. And being part of Elmer, we have another Gary loophole. While that sounds amusing, Bob being able to make evil wishes and the resulting chaos from thst, it's a little too silly even for this show. I could see it as a possible episode or plot point of a special if done well, and there is enough talent to execute it well, but not something recurring.
I'm honestly still waiting for the plot to come up that allows anti-fairies to be godparents (tnerapdogs?) to evil children and make a major threat that way. Another thing that could be executed well but in all likelihood wouldn't.
One last thing, relating to logic in the 10th season premier. So, it's explictly stated Timmy and Chloe have to "share" Cosmo and Wanda, right? Then Chloe wishes everyone in town would "share" with everyone else. So, if godparents can be shared, as is stated, and everyone must share everything, as per the wish, why didn't Timmy and/or Chloe get compelled to share Cosmo and Wanda with the town? Everyone else was under some kind of mind control that forced them to share things, so it seems to be another plot hole in that episode.

I can’t remember the episode name I know it happened it wasn’t a fever dream . Also if they have to share ? Tootie would literally try hard to keep the secret because alone time with Timmy constantly . Why would love struck tootie ruin that by spilling the secret and never getting that much one on one time again .

This would've been a better idea then Chole and it would've coincide with the established relationship that Timmy and Tottie have. Since she plays a love interest in the live action movies it would've made perfect sense and especially if they wanted to have a female secondary character. Also did anybody notice that in Channel Chasers that Tim's daughter had glasses similar to Tottie's?

If I were to re-write FOP S10, I would have Chloe be a new character, but I would have Tootie share Timmy's fairies with him (despite the fact that sharing fairies is such a dumb idea), because she has more depth in the show, has more of a need for fairies than Chloe, and has actual history (both positive and negative history) with Timmy.
and i also would've given her character development to by also having her grow out of her obessive fangirl persona to a much more smarter and mature girl with other interests outside just liking Timmy
And i also would've have her be the sane one to Timmy's carelessness, immaturity, and stupidity.

The series just needed to end at that point, 10 seasons is alot. They had to cut so many characters out after adding them in.
I think a better way to change the execution would have been to fix the fairy shortage by splitting Cosmo and Wanda, after all its never stated (that i know of) why Timmy is the ONLY kid with 2 fairies instead of just 1.
Have it be Jordan coming to Timmy and saying he needs to lose one of his fairies, taking Wanda (because shed be more impactful in my opinion), then they can make it so Timmy is angry at Chloe without Chloe knowing what she did "wrong" so to speak, because we already know that Timmy can just get mad at people and treat them like garbage with no explanation as to why.
I also think, just in terms of writing ideas, and also to save them the trouble of coming up with a new character since their clearly horrible at it, just use a character like Tootie but make it permanent.
I think just those changes, when writing the episode, and then letting them work with that would have ended up alot better because they have shown and proven they cannot create new characters that are actually good characters, nor characters that fit well in universe.

Chloe is more psychotic than miserable
hm? now I want to see a critic make a cartoon. wait rebel taxi did that I think. I should look at his show and see if he takes his own advice.
i prefer the head cannon theory that seasons 9 and 10 take place in an alternate reality where chester, aj, sanjay, elmer, etc. never existed. and in this reality timmy never went back in time to screw up mr crockers childhood and as a result crocker is much more laid back and timmys friends never existed. [due to timmys parents meeting due to crockers screwed up life and all. basically aj, sanjay, elmer, and chesters parents never met.] and also due to this being an alternate version of the future of crockers life sparky doesnt exist either. thus why jorgen is forcing tiimmy to share his fairys. not because chloe is UN happy, but because crocker actually had a GOOD childhood he didnt waste as much of his life hunting fairys [still hunted them but not so much]. and also with crocker more laid back kids are happier, and with kids happier, they misbehave less, and that results in vicky being needed less. thus resulting in less unhappy kids. basically jorgen makes timmy share because fairys are no longer needed for keeping kids happy. and instead are being tested on being used for huamnitarian use for "good kids" who have nothing but happy lives and would make ONLY selfless wishes.
this is also why mr crockers mother gets assigned a fairy, because the only people now miserable enough are elderly and thus only they are able to keep fairys alive via wishes.
i like fairly odd parent and i feel like if they wanted to continue the show the could have had a spin off there are amazing characters that need fairy's Tootie Elmer Chester i would love to see how they live and think and what they would wish and its affect on Timmy so then they could make Timmy a secondary character with a reason behind it or just make him share his fairies with Tootie like half the comments have been saying plus the could introduce a new villain or characters that do not ruin the show like adding a cat woman i would love to see new characters that do not kill the show

I hear how chloe shouldn't have been added alot, especially now since I've been watching fairly odd parents reviews, but i think she totally could've worked, like maybe she has anxiety and doesnt like attention and that makes her miserable she could open up to timmy after timmy acts like a brat to her or simply that she gets stressed out with all the pressure of being a straight A student or her parents could inforce it on her either one would work and make her a better more fleshed out character
