Between Tootie and Chester they arguably deserved them more than Timmy. Especially with how we even got to see a reality where Chester had them, and then tootie did because of Timmys wish, both proving that point to a degree.
Chloe didn't need them, she wasn't built up as poor, mistreated, or unfortunate to the point where I ever went "oh yeah that girl needs fairies." I could see moments where it made sense for Timmy, with the writing being poor in regards to his parents, swapping up randomly.
That whole episode is crazy when you think of it
But fairies are only assigned to miserable kids and Chester is happy with his life, even if he is poor
Honestly had the episode where Chloe’s parents were introduced had it showed that they were cruel and trying to make sure she was perfect then I could understand her having fairies but the fact that they didn’t they were loving and caring of her it made sense

Back during FoP’s Oh Yeah! cartoons run, cosmo and Wanda were essentially surrogate parents to Timmy. Best part: Cosmo wasn’t an idiot and Wanda wasn’t a nag. And there was actual love between the two. Cosmo was a street smart used car salesman type that would take a hit in the profits if it meant doing good, and Wanda was the book smart homeschooler that wasn’t afraid to loosen her grip.
i think the idea of deserving fairy godparents are the kids who had bad parents. Despite chester is poor, his father is present in his life, he has good friends, and that´s why reimi has.

so by that logic every kid who interacted at all with Vicky should have one

What I would have done was make it a big TV special where the premise is that Timmy finds out that Tootie *did* have fairies at one point, but thanks to her blabbling the secret she lost them. He goes on a campaign to help her get them back, which would mean going to fairy court and pleading her case. In the end, the fairy court rules undeniably in her favor when they find out she's Vicky's sister, considering the evil babysitter would likely have come across more kids with fairies and word gets around about how awful she is to children. But the catch is, to keep her from spilling the secret again, she has to share her fairies with Timmy. Could have kicked off the whole spinoff season with it and there would have been no need for Chloe.

But I don't recall Chester being miserable while poor. If anything, being wealthier did that to him. I remember when Chester and his dad somehow became wealthier, but then he lost his dad and that's when he got Norm the Genie became Chester's fairy after that.
Tootie is more unanswerable for me. My best theory is that her obsession with Timmy prevents her from being at rock bottom.

I don't think Trixie needs fairies; she needs a backbone, and to learn to just be herself.
If she was true to herself, she would undoubtedly be a much happier person.
If we take a closer look at her life, we may see things with her parents putting unrealistic standards on her.
Makes me wonder if her need for constant attention and adoration might have something to do with that, like she has this constant need for approval to let her know she’s doing good, and she’s worried that by being herself and doing the things she likes - like reading comic books - then people won’t like or accept her

Honestly, Chester's life SUCKS but he was still happy which is why he didn't get them I believe, it's also kinda wholesome to know that it's implied Timmy makes his life happy enough to not deserve Godparents
This also implies that if Timmy just didn't exist Chester would have Cosmo and Wanda.

The fact that the girl with the worst babysitter as a sister got passed over fairy godparents to a girl who causes some mistakes but has a rather great life still boggles my mind.
In all seriousness, as much as I like FOP, I'm A bit concerned as to what a lot of these kids life's will be like when they're older.
I actually want to address this. In the earlier episodes Vicky was actually nice to Tootie. It is over time she became more flanderized and nasty to her sister. It really would not have made sense for Tootie to get the Fairies.
She is a loudmouth, she would last about a week max. before she blows the secret

I think it's bc they were afraid of what might happen to said fairies if they lived with Tootie and Vicky. It would be like introducing them into the home of a serial killer

Tootie's life is a literal hellhole so she deserves her own fairies. And as we all agree Chloe shouldn't get her own fairies in the first place.

The only reason why Tootie doesn't have fairies is that she would blab about them before she can be told she can't.
See, the ironic thing is that Timmy is sooo selfish that it keeps him from telling others about his fairies. His biggest flaw his selfishness is the one thing that keeps revealing their secret. When Tootie gets more mature, she'll probably keep them quiet.
Maybe they can suggest to tootie to make the wish of shutting her mouth when she's about to tell that, that way she doesn't

To be fair, Cosmo and Wanda never actually told her verbally that it’s against the rules to tell anyone about them so it’s on them
I think Veronica actually deserves them more than Trixie, because not only does she lack the public attention/adoration Trixie gets, she is forced to live directly under her shadow and has developed even greater insecurities. Trixie thinks her value is in what boys think of her, which isn’t good, but Veronica thinks her only value is in being near Trixie. She doesn’t see anything worth loving in herself, and no one sees her as more than a backup friend.
It is quite strange how the show never defined a hard logic on what made someone deserving of fairies. If Timmy was allowed to get away with stopping time for 50 years, he could’ve just wished Tootie lost the ability to tell her secret, allowing her to have fairies.

Just to double-check, but Trixie and the other cool kids are in the same age group and grade as Timmy, right?
If so, then Veronica does deserve a Fairy Godparent. But if she's in her teens, then she probably has become "too old" to get one. Since the two criterias I see in the show is "miserable family and social life" and "still a child".

I wouldn't mind if she was overly perfect but it was because of her parents pressuring her, being suffocated by all the work and isolated by others because they treat her as some perfect person and not as Chloe.

If Trixie deserves Godparents, surely Veronica does too. She wants to be something she's not, she probably just hangs out with the popular kids because her mom is friends with Trixies mom. She's clearly bullied and assaulted by her friends and other schoolmates. I would say she is more deserving of them than Trixie. I think she would just wish to be more popular though. Or to be a Trixie clone or something silly. So maybe not.
With Tootie, she deserves them but like you said she cannot keep quiet about them even though she was told to.
She was never told it was against the rules. She can keep a secret tho (deep toot) they were just unable to tell and tootie was too excited and on a time limit i think if they were able to tell tootie about the rules she would try keeping it a secret imo

@@electricfan6191 I dunno. I think it's hard for her to keep things a secret when she's excited and happy. And living with Vicky (nuff said) and her parents who are so useless, happiness is hard to come by, so she's not used to it. She just has to scream to the world about how happy she is. It's very sad.
@@antyep That's a good point but also consider that kids are adaptable, Tootie is shown to be smart and creative, and living under abusive tyranny that is Vicky should mean she's learned how to hide, be secretive, put on an act to receive the least amount of (at least) physical pain and even lie convincingly.
Timmy had neglectful parents and was constantly around an abusive babysitter, so I'd still say he DESERVES them, Tootie LIVED with said abusive babysitter so she's a close second place, iirc Chester was just poor but still got along okay with his dad and seemed to be a happy kid, but he's still third place regardless.
I mean we could probably add neglectful parents to Tootie too.
Of course it's less oblivious idiotic neglect and more neglect via being literally too scared of their firstborn to really do anything that won't cause her to bring out the damn Iron Maiden.
Frankly, Tootie is in first place with Timmy second (lot of the crap that happens to him he did to himself thanks to his arrogance and stubbornness). Though I kinda think Veronica comes in third. She's clearly a girl who is miserable at the fact that her self-worth isn't the best so much that she wishes to be someone else. That could lead to a lot of mental problems...which you can clearly see, like in that internet episode. Chester is poor and his dad is hated, but clearly, he's happy with what he has and has a good relationship with his dad, and he's very selfless.
Hell, he's a BETTER Chloe. But he does come in fourth.
It’s confirmed in the show that Tootie is 2x more miserable than Timmy, both deserve fairer but Tootie is definitely in first place

Still baffling how basically these characters disappeared during the later seasons. They deserved to have their stories & backgrounds expanded on. But Nick had to go muck that up with all these new unnecessary characters everyone pretty much hated. And to be fair, if Tootie got fairies in season 10, it wouldn't matter if she could keep a secret 😂.
The show should have ended with Tootie, not Chole.
At least when Poof was introduced the original characters was still there. But when Foop came all the secondary characters except Crocker and Jorgen started to disappear or became background characters.
IMAGINE if Tootie took Chloe's place in the later seasons. Instead of a brand new little ms perfect, we have an already built up character with an established dynamic with Timmy (even a dynamic where they BOTH HAVE FAIRIES technically), and someone who, given the reasoning of there being a "fairy shortage" would make sense to pair up with him. Hell, they could've justified it with using her as a test run for this whole fairy share system! A god kid who needed fairies but just couldn't keep her mouth shut with a god kid who constantly hides his in plain sight and understands the importance of it.

Butch should have done this instead of kowtowing to Nickelodeon's wishes of adding more characters in order to not get canceled. But then again he stopped using Tootie after Birthday wish. They also stopped using Trixie as well.
Tootie definitely deserved Fairy Godparents more than Chloe in Fairly Oddparents.
Tootie's home life is horrible. Her sister, Vicky, flatout tortures her endlessly and her parents are too scared to stop this. Plus it doesn't look like she has alot of friends because of Vicky.
Chloe's home life is better by comparison. Her parents treat her very well, she's not bullied or tortured by anyone, and could make friends easily.
The writers could have written a scene where Tootie's fairy explains the rule about not telling anyone that she had them. Then a few episodes where she grows as a character; maybe even growing out of her feelings for Timmy.
Too bad Nickelodeon ended the show before this could happen.

Veronica was never actually confirmed to be rich,she mite be trixies friend because she's willing to do anything trixie seys.she is seen as a assistant to her in the halloween episode

I wish that they kept the original idea that Vicky would happily assassinate the us president just to make Tootie happy. Like seriously the story possibilities would be endless. One that comes to mind is Tootie has a secret weapon to make Timmy like her.

Makes sense to me.
-Trixie is proven to be insane when not publicly adored. Veronica practically worships her to the point of wanting to be her (which could be a false flag that she expects will reach Trixie as a leaked secret), providing her with a constant source of adoration.
-She is in love with Timmy and Timmy knows this. It is probably a ploy to boost his self-esteem because she knows she is being spied on with fairy magic.
-She is always overshadowed and the butt of the joke around not just her friends, but also Timmy and others she happens to be around when things go wrong. This is probably a choice meant to make everyone else involved feel better by comparison.
-Her Hawk Gal getup appeals to a theme that both Trixie and Timmy like (Skull Squisher and Crimson Chin) but goes overboard, and this is probably intentional to make them feel less nerdy for liking those comics so much.
Her lack of wings and a crown might be because she is a rogue fairy not assigned to any particular kid (and is not technically a godparent), and she adopted the role of a popular kid of her own volition because she wants to help multiple kids and not be restricted to one.

A theory I like is that Tootie actually had Fairies of her own at some point but either revealed them or was caught by someone like Vicky.
If there is one way to get yourself removed from the opportunity to have fairies despite being twice as miserable it would be having broken the don't reveal their existence rule.
This makes me realize that making Timmy share his fairies with Tootie probably would have been a much more interesting shake up than what we got
1. I love the idea of Vicky being a loving big sister for Tootie while hating every other kid, adds som complexity.
2. "Dimmadelphia" was an amazing choice of name
Called it on Tooty, but you were convincing on Chester. Trixie’s potential, despite her riches, for qualification is incredibly interesting in concept.
I can imagine an episode where Cosmo and Wanda gave her all the popularity she desired only to feeling unsatisfied in the end, which causes her to seek out friendships with non-popular kids that are more genuine.
So if those are the standards for miserable enough, I imagine that a lot of fairies would be needed over in 3rd world countries. The starving kid in Africa that has aids, or perhaps the Chinese kid that spends all day working in a sweatshop for next to nothing are probably gonna need fairies more than Timmy!
The thing is the requirements of a Godparent is bad parents. The rich guy had bad and neglectful parents and Juan disimo (I probably misspelled his name) was that adult figure for him and losing him made him just really really hate timmy and wanting to get revenge. Even though he had all the money to shape the world he was still not happy which is why he used it to spite timmy. That is also why Chester doesn't have Fairies because he has a loving father who teaches chester to be good.

Funny enough, Jorgan orchestrated a convoluted plot to get Wandissimo back as Remy’s Godparent. This is hilarious since a few season later we have Chloe needing a Godparent and there being a Godparent shortage. Jorgan played himself on that one!
Fairies are given to kids who are unhappy. Chester was happy with his lot in life and despite Vicky Tootie was also fairly happy. Remy may have been rich but it was evident he wasn't a happy child.
Theory: Tootie had Godparents, couldn't keep her mouth shut, and almost immediately lost them.
I personally think that the idea of who gets Fairy Godparents is if someone cares about you. Despite what Chester would do if he had Fairy Godparents, he still generally enjoys his life. Someone cares about him.
Remember, when Timmy first got Fairy Godparents, his parents didn't like him, Vicky didn't like him, and if we're using a Wishful Life, No One Cared About Him. At All. At least Tootie has/had someone even if they aren't there. If anyone should have to share fairies, Tootie and Timmy work pretty well.
Excellent video. Tootie, Trixie, and Veronica I always thought could've carried a spinoff show together by themselves.
I think Tootie especially started getting the shaft after season 5. So many cool potential ideas were introduced involving her in season 4-5, but then it all gets dropped and they run hard into the unrequited crush jokes and Hartman even sort of forgot about Vicky/Tootie being sisters along with the Iron Fleet.
I don’t think it really has to do with the level of how miserable a kid is, I think that’s just an excuse. We find out in later seasons that if fairy’s don’t grant wishes, they actually explode. I think it’s more likely that they pick kids to get fairy’s who are more selfish and likely to make a lot more wishes. They just try to make it seem like it’s about being miserable, but really it just depends on who would make the most wishes.
When I was a kid I honestly believed that Trixie was like 13 or 14 or even 16 because I felt she just looked the part. So imagine my utter shock upon learning (from AlphaJay himself, no less) that she’s actually the same age as Timmy, *maybe* one or two years older if you really push it. I swear officer-I mean reader, I had no idea of her actual age. I guess long hair on non-teen/adult characters throws me off 😂
How much taller they are than him make Trixie and her friends look older than Timmy. I'm not saying that kids can't be very tall but most of the kids around Timmy's age were the same height as him. Trixie is closer in height to Vicky. Veronica looking like a cheer leader doesn't help either
Tootie does deserve fairies, but it's extremely likely she revealed them very early on.
Thus no one remembers them, not even the audience.

If Tootie kept quiet about fairies, she'd be allowed to keep them
Pretty much any character in the series can considered the “punching bag of the show”, but in terms of consistency Tootie bears the brunt of the force (both on and off screen).
If we look at how and why Timmy had fairies it’s because both of his parents were neglectful and those same parents got an evil babysitter to watch him. Vicky has become one of the show’s main antagonists and most of the time Timmy’s parents are oblivious to what’s happening. Timmy deserves parents in that regard.
Tootie has a similar situation, if you want to use the lowest common denominator. She’s Vicky’s sister so she spends the most time around arguably the most evil character, and she’s given no mercy or compassion. And Tootie’s parents turn a blind eye, not out of neglect, but fear. They’re terrified of Vicky so they don’t give any input to avoid her wrath.
This puts Tootie in a nearly impossible situation: she’s constantly bullied/tortured by her sister and her parents let it happen, not that they have a choice in the matter. And what’s worse is that Tootie gets rejected by other people, including Timmy.
Tootie’s “affection” can come off as weird or even scary sometimes, but it’s never out of malice or bitterness. She probably just wants at least one stable and healthy relationship with someone but she doesn’t get that at home. Tootie isn’t like Trixie where attention is her main food source; she doesn’t become psychotic when no one praises her.
As a side note, my head canon is that Tootie latches on to Timmy partly because she sees that he’s in a similar situation as her. And it seems a little cruel of Timmy to reject her. He has an evil babysitter, but he’s not related to her.
TL;DR Tootie has a similar, if not worse predicament than Timmy, so having fairies is the LEAST of what she deserves.
Yeah, Tootie deserves fairies.
But Chester not really. The thing is they are given to miserable kids, and while yes, Chester's life probably sucks from our point of view, he himself is not really miserable.
It was shown often that Chester is actually happy with how things are. He is content with his home life, with school with his dad, and doesn't really care about how his situation is.
And the time he actually wished for things to be better with his dad (think it was where he found Norm and wished that his dad did not screw up playing baseball) he was actually sadder in the end with his dad's wealth.
And because Chester is not really feeling miserable himself I don't really think he is deserving of fairies.
Despite Chester being Broke, At least he Has a Dad who Cares about him.
I feel Tootie would have lost her faries. If you tell someone you have faries you lose them. When Timmy lend his faries, Tootie was going to
tell the wold about it. Luckily Timmy stopped her in time. Cosmo and Wanda failed to warn her.
I remember watching a theory (forget who) that says veronica is actually a fairy, because of the eyes human and fairies have two different types, and her star scrunchie, and its super hard not to notice now.
I think instead of saying who deserves fairies, we should think about who really needs them, because from our perspective, they would have a miserable life, but in reality they would be happy with their lives.

The reason Timmy got his fairies in the first place is because he has parents who ignore him, a babysitter that abuses him, a bully that tries to kill him and a teacher that tortures him. But Chester and Tootie’s lives are much worse. Chester is very poor, lives in a trailer with his dad and eats animals with rabies! As for Tootie, her older sister Vicky practically tortures and abuses her, and her parents are too scared to even intervene! I’m mad that Chloe got fairy godparents and had to share them with Timmy, it ruined the show! Everyone knows that fairy godparents are for kids who are having a tough life with neglectful parents! And Chloe’s life was perfect, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE FAIRIES AT ALL! Also I feel bad for Timmy for having to share his fairies with someone who doesn’t deserve them! I don’t know what Jorgen was thinking when he gave Chloe fairies and made Timmy share his fairies with her. CHLOE DOESN’T DESERVE FAIRIES, PERIOD.

I always thought it would be better if Chloe was assigned Poof as a sort of early test/training for him to be a full fledged godparent for the future. The reason Chloe was chosen because she would've been an easy person to get along with and supportive making her a set of training wheels for him and not being miserable was incase he messed up and wouldnt add more baggage to the miserable child. This wouldve been a good reason for her and Timmy to always hang out not because they had to share godparent but because his godparents are her godparent's parents. It wouldve let us see more growth of Poof as well.

I saw a theory that Veronica is Trixie’s fairy because her eyes look exactly like the fairies eyes and not a human like everyone else’s eyes.
Thank you for reminding me how much I LOVED Chester! He was the best! He would have a good time with Fairies, but he didn't NEED them. Being poor doesn't mean he was miserable. he had a great life with his clearly depressed father who clearly loved him and spent time with him, he had a good time with his friends and was a great guy all around. Being bullied was the main hiccup, and his good friendships did wonders with dealing with it. His life is pretty good, honestly.
Tootie absolutely DID deserve Godparents, though, even more than Timmy. She has absolutely no one, while Timmy at least had Chester and AJ. Part of the reason he even HAD his Fairy Oddparents was because of Vicky, and he doesn't even live with her the way Tootie does. Timmy gets a break from her - she doesn't. Timmy's parents are also sometimes okay, while Tootie's parents would leave her to their own devices - even when Vickie isn't in the room - because they fear Vickie more than they love her. Her only flaw being her inability to keep secrets is something she can learn - it being her character development arc, along with chilling out with Timmy to become someone closer to her pilot self.
Remi also deserved Juandissimo. He lost him, yes, but that doesn't mean he didn't _deserve_ him all the same. Parental neglect is a major reason why Timmy and Tootie deserve Godparents, and Remi's money doesn't actually protect him from that neglect, either. He had no one else in his life who cared about him genuinely other than Jaundissimo. Him being an asshole to Timmy doesn't change that, and he's clearly used to using money to fulfill his lack of any meaningful personal relationships - that gap is still there regardless of how many zeroes he has in his bank account.
Chloe was honestly so unnecessary and should have just been a side character uninvolved with Timmy's Godparents. She still could have gotten into shenanigans Timmy ended up fixing, but she didn't need Godparents from what we saw, either. The fact that they refused to put effort into explaining it despite giving them to her anyway is honestly pretty shitty to her with how lazy they were in trying to make her important while still treating her entire premise as unimportant at the same time. She was such a lazy attempt for more views on the already long-dragged-out series. They made Poof genuinely fun. but the dog was too much to me, and then they added Chloe on top of that. Let the series end, or at least make content around older storylines to wrap it up instead of thinking new characters was the only way to make things interesting.

I couldn’t agree more with Chester and Tootie. Chester lives with his Dad in a trailer park and has no money. And Tootie has to be bullied by her own sister and her parents are too scared to do anything about it. I always felt bad for her and Chester as a kid because they deserved better lives

Timmy... I know this is a controversial viewpoint but the dude was physically abused by Vicky, emotionally and physically abused by his parents, and harassed on a daily basis or school day basis by Crockpot Crocker... yeah... he needed those fairy godparents.
What the fairies should have done is have a 'class' for new godchildren where they are taught how to avoid the usual pitfalls of having fairy godparents.
i adore how hazel has a opposite vibe to timmy as in she has no friends but has a bonding family while timmy has friends but not so bonding family, im honestly really excited to see how the new reboot goes with the new concept and also i adore her appearance
I always found it weird that they didn’t make Timmy share Godparents with Tootie in season 10. I know part of the reason why Chloe was added (according to Butch Hartman) was because executives wanted a girl character added in the main line up. However, they had so many opportunities to bring up already established characters to the forefront of the show, and I would have found it especially interesting for Tootie to be chosen for that because she is a character with already established flaws and reasoning for needing fairies. I also think she would have been a better match-up with Timmy, as Timmy would help her learn to keep secrets (and hopefully teach her about personal boundaries), while Tootie could help Timmy be more thankful for having fairies and the life he currently has. It just frustrates me why they would simply create a bland new character instead of giving more life to others.

That happened with most of the side characters. Poof got pushed into a school far away from everyone else, Sparky just chooses to never be around, every named character besides maybe Vicky and Crocker disappear. Like Trixie, Tootie, fairies other than Jorgen, Dinkleberg, various antagonists, etc.
All of Timmy's friends start disappearing because Butch became obsessed with Timmy's Dad and Mr Crocker

You are spot on about Tootie's treatment being better in Season 0. However, Timmy got Cosmo and Wanda before Tootie was introduced and Vicky was kind to her at that time. So it's no wonder why Timmy was first to get Cosmo and Wanda as his Godparents before Tootie. I also personally feel like that she doesn't have fairies because she would've already exposed them.
Chester's case was more interesting though. It's interesting to see that the verdict says he's not miserable when we've seen in several episodes that he has said he's as miserable as Timmy. I think Timmy and Chester are neck-and-neck. It's nice to see that we got a couple of episodes where they got to have Cosmo and Wanda in them, but they should've both at least been granted one fairy regardless, even if it's not Cosmo and Wanda.
Elmer doesn't surprise me, he is on a same tier as Chester to me though. I don't agree with Trixie's verdict though because she already has status and wealth regardless of the two cons. Similar to AJ's.
If there's one thing we can all agree on though? Chloe doesn't exist and does not deserve any fairy, period. That is all.
Tootie and Chester both deserve to have Faries more so if not equally just as much as Timmy does. The only drawback to why Chester doesn't get it is often how after the intro to his background and father figure, many episodes later he would be content with his current lifestyle and just having his Father beside him. Tootie is all the living proof that she deserves to have one, but as stated, needs a constant reminder of keeping things hushed. Personally I didn't mind Remy having a fairy god parent just to prove that being rich doesn't make you happy. They could've gone more with him, but then again the show creator keeps forgetting that Timmy had other friends and rivals as the seasons went on.
I will never understand the existence of Chloe even when i get to the age of when it is my time of death. Creating Sparky and Anti Sparky made zero sense, Chloe's very 1st introduction all the way to her reason for being here makes somehow "zero sense" look more logical than having none. It's worst on the contents claiming they have a "fairy shortage" despite how many faries exist and currently live in Fairy world, her good deed of helping to an unhealthy degree doesn't really prove how miserable she is.
I'm not fully sure on what to say about Timmy's other 2 friends given how we see them less and less to the point of not really sure on how miserable are they, even if one of them is forever with a boil.

Elmer, and Tootie deserve fairies the most. I'll even go one step further and say Binki should be Tootie's fairy godparent. Trixie doesn't need fairies because she has money and popularity. I know she's afraid of being a tomboy around her friends but that doesn't mean she deserves fairies. Remy deserves them because his parents ignore him and he has no friends. The opposite is true about Trixie Tang, who not only is popular and rich but also has a best friend who is obsessed with her along with a ton of willingness to give her the attention she craves. Speaking of her best friend, Veronica deserves fairies because she doesn't want to be herself, she'd rather be Trixie, and not only does the guy she has a major crush on not like her back, but he also prefers her best friend. Take away money, popular, and wanting to be the center of attention then Trixie is a normal tomboy who would only deserve fairies if she were bullied, and I don't think they'd be the case, I think she was just ignored and she might even be happier that way if she got to be her true self. But if the same thing happened to Veronica and she still was opposed then she definitely needs fairies.
Everyone is a no for very obvious reasons. Besides the fact that Chester has shown to be happy with his life and knowing his dad loves him, Chester has Timmy Turner and AJ which is important because in A Wishful Life it was revealed that AJ would be in college if Timmy Turner was never born, and Chester sees Timmy as his number one best friend. If he doesn't exist and AJ is in college, Chester has no friends and is more miserable until he gets Cosmo and Wanda then uses their powers to make other people happy; Remy is rich and can buy expensive things to keep him happy but also doesn't have to deal with Vickie, Crocker, or Francis and that's important because they make Timmy Turner's life more miserable; AJ is the smartest kid in school and loved by his parents; Sanjay is happy being a "backup friend"; Chloe is very optimistic and her parents also are good people who care about her a lot more than Timmy's parents care about him.
From what Alpha Jay said I don't think Hazel Wells is that miserable if she's just having a hard time adjusting to a new city and getting picked on by a guy who probably likes her because she's optimistic and has a strong bond with her parents but the show could prove me wrong.

Tootie is, without question, the most miserable kid in Dimmsdale! She just needs a push in the right direction, and she can ABSOLUTELY have fairies, and keep them!

My take on it has always been with only the kids with bad parents who are also deeply unhappy get fairies. Remy is the obvious case for the point they were trying to make with this - I thought it was obvious even as a kid. Remy has money, but his parents are totally absent and uninvolved, and he's a little mean but it's because he's so unhappy. Chester is poor, but he's happy and has a good relationship with his dad. He makes the most of his situation. Tootie should have had a character arc where she slowly became more tolerable and grown up and learned to keep quiet, because her life really was the worst of the show.
I think there can be an argument for Chloe. She is shown being selfless time and time again, always caring about others. However, in the last episode where she sleep wished, it is equally shown that she doesn't care about herself either by sacrificing the time she has for summer break to study instead of having fun like the other kids by throwing away her favorite doll. Such things can be translated to real life too, the more you give time to others the less you'll have for yourself. Her initial goal was to study on the surface, but deep down she had wanted to play and enjoy the summer more which had caused her to sleep wish her favorite doll back.

Chester is a weird case because even though he's poor and his living situation is difficult, he always stays positive and is overall a good person. Timmy instead has a more negative outlook and his "gone wrong" wishes are always learning opportunities for him.
I wonder if Tootie actually had godparents before. It's known that if a child reveals they had fairies, they would be taken away and the memories of everyone would be wiped. So maybe she did have fairies but she was too quick to break the rules, and now she's sort of blacklisted.

basically, they pointed out how every fairy has black pupils (dont know how to explain it, im very sleep deprived rn), and so does veronica.

The thing you forgot to mention about Chloe is that she stresses out WAY too much with being academically successful, causing her to suppress her inner child, therefore making her miserable through avoiding herself from having actual fun like she should. Most of that was shown in S10E20b "Summer Bummer".
I think the point with Chloe was that they were trying to make a character who looks happy and fulfilled on the surface, but deep down can have issues like everyone else. But that kind of falls apart when you build them up the whole episode to be adored and perfect in every way. You can't say she deserves them simply because things don't go her way sometimes. If that was the case, every kid would deserve fairies.
It doesn't help that since it's a comedy show, so it's easy for writers who don't fully understand the assignment to not think about creating a character putting on a facade of happiness while having similar issues to Timmy or Tootie. It's weird considering how FOP's humor is really on the nose, they could've had a character who is all like, "Hey, Timmy, I'm going home to my not neglectful parents! BYE!" then show the reality.
plus they already had trixie for that anyway didnt they popular girl who seems perfect but cant express herself or she'll lose her rep, need for validation that could possibly come from neglectful parents
That episode when Timmy wishing he was never born was the darkest one in my opinion because of how it shows that everyone having better lives without him existing was messed up in so many ways 😂
I think if they were going with the idea of sharing fairy like they did I think Timmy and tootie combo would’ve been great, it would’ve showed Timmy more why she like the way she is and all that such and maybe would’ve both worked together to stop Vickey

Back in the day you had to be in front of the TV when eps aired. So binge watching wasn't a thing and it wasn't uncommon to miss eps and basically just see what was on when it was on.

I don't know if Veronica should be on this list, since it is theorised that Veronica might be a FGP (Fairy God Parent) in disguise due to the fact that she is the one of the only human in the show to have both an eye colour and pupils, something fairies (Not counting Jorgen von strangle) and anti-fairies seem to have

Yeah ik it could be a character design choice to make her look more odd among the rest of the popular kids but the Fairy theory also sounds pretty cool.
I just feel like it would be more believable if Trixie treated Veronica better like an actual friend and not the Popular Kids' punching bag.
