- SCP 784 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Christmas Cheer.
SCP-784 is a neighborhood in Texas. Currently SCP784 is made up of twenty-four houses and two apartment buildings, all of which are decorated with Christmas lights at a density of approximately fifteen lights per square meter of housing. SCP-784 will always be covered by between 12 and 33 centimeters of snow, though no unseasonable weather will occur above SCP-784.

Legend says SCP-Halloween Spoops breeds many creatures of Halloween night, including bats, spiders, and wolves. Their houses are decorated in real dead bodies scavenged from neighbouring city cemeteries. Similarly to SCP-784, they have a day where they enter other cities with various Halloween decorations and tools. The foundation has taken similar measures against this SCP as they did with SCP-784 Christmas Cheer.
I don't know why, but this SCP seems way more sinister than most SCP's, even the scarier ones.
As a Jewish person, yeeeeeaaaah….just a touch unsettling.

I think we may just have found the one SCP that could contain 682. They wouldn't let it leave until it had the cheer of Christmas in him, and since he holds a middle finger to the entire universe and all forms of cheer, they would keep attempting to convert him in perpetuity. The end result would either be a Decomissioned 784, or a converted 682. A win in either book.

Imagine a counter SCP that takes the form of kids in costumes for Halloween that are eternally trick or treating. They wander from town to town in search of candy. The SCP foundation keep them contained by leaving a trail of candy into safe areas but they get free and head right into SCP 784. What results is a war of the holidays. Eggs are thrown. Candy flys like bullets and indestructible toilet paper binds people to light poles. It would the definition of an unstoppable force meeting an unmovable object.

I guess the author may have first or second hand experience. Also, yeah, there are neighborhoods that go hard on the Christmas lights. There's a neighbor down the road with a big yard that houses Christmas decorations and there was another that had house to house decked out in Christmas stuff.

As interesting as this SCP it doesn’t go far enough, it sounds like to me the person supervising over the operations with this SCP has so little resources that it’s less than an average city police department. That’s all it would really take to defeat this thing with proper knowledge…which the foundation has.
And arrest them for what? Overzealous decorating? Being _too_ cheerful?

Well, they are over 5000 SCPs and the Foundation has to distribute it's resources equally.
The Foundation has a policy to never neutralize a SCP unless it's a EXTREME circumstance. Kidnapping operatives is not a extreme enough circumstance. I assure you if this SCP gets to the point of being a threat to end the world it will be enough to neutralize.
It's funny how a D-Class can get killed for doing much less harm but they don't try to neutralize this anomaly.

If you dressed up in Nightmare Before Christmas attire, how would they react? Do they have the Hallmark channel going 24/7? What if you're allergic to eggs, or peppermint? Do they have Advent Calendars and Yule Logs? What about trees, do they have real ones they replace regularly, or do they keep artificial ones up? Does Mariah Carey play constantly? What do they eat for dinner, goose? Turkey? Ham? When is it enough Christmas? Are they allowed to write "X-mas" instead of "Christmas"? If "Happy Holidays" isn't allowed, what about "Feliz Navidad?" I like this SCP a lot (makes me wonder if there's a Halloween counterpart to it). This one almost feels like it's a metaphor for how certain people react to someone else supposedly not living up to their image of how Christmas is supposed to be. Especially the "Happy Holidays" incident. It's, unfortunately, not too far off from how pressed some people get in real life if you wish them a happy holidays instead of a merry Christmas
