- SCP 6001 is an Esoteric Class anomaly also known as Avalon.
SCP-6001 is an .0083917743 µm micro-singularity located in Tokyo, Japan and in another Tokyo, Japan. SCP6001 connects to a parallel universe hereafter known as A6K. Compared to baseline reality, A6K possesses nearly identical base components, including locations, individuals, and phenom. However, SCP 6001 's counterparts will often differ wildly in terms of complex characteristics and behavior.
The most commonly observed divergences within A6K include lack of cooperation, increased scientific and technological repression, and heightened paranoia, aggression and violence in near-to-all sentient elements. It is unclear if these differences are purely causal, or derived from the nature of A6K itself.
While the dominant scientific institution of A6K, known as the "SCP Foundation", is aware of Phenom 6001, they are incapable of transgressing into our reality due to their limited understanding, and the aperture's infinitesimal size.

Very Rarely do we get a hopeful SCP that shows the possible wonders they could acheive if they did go public. I really love the idea this SCP explores: a utopia that not only survives, but because of paranormal groups like the Foundation, Thrives.
Well that, and who wouldn't want things like universal health care?
What makes this feel like a pipedream is The Broken Masquerade Canon, where they did go public, and the public started tearing them down simply not knowing how else to respond.
Nevertheless, this is a future I would love to see in my lifetime. No more chaos, no more conflict. Just everlasting world peace. That would be a world worth living in.
The problem is that 'world peace' would never happen. People have too disparate of viewpoints on various subjects from sexual to general moral. The only way world peace would happen is if everyone was mind controlled and had the same viewpoints on all subjects.
However, I do think it sadly comes at the cost of the loss of sociocultural differences and individuality. The reason why we have conflict and chaos is because everyone is different and no one respects or agrees with each other all the time. To eliminate conflict, we must eliminate differences. However, do you think it's still humane to eliminate one of the primary things which make us human simply to force cooperation, bliss, and happiness among us? I do think there are alternate solutions to our current problems, those which require only little semi-Orwellian approaches.
I also think, to some extent, people almost enjoy hardship at least on a sub concious level. We constantly fight an up hill battle because to do otherwise life would become mundane. If you climbed Mount Everest, would you feel fulfilled by duch a feat for the rest of your life or would you soon need to look for another goal to achieve
World Peace can be achieved if only those at the top are prevalent enough to take granted society benefits like better salary, better health care, better humanitarian aid and better caring for mother nature.
We would at least reduced the problem we have if people are more leaning towards the benefits of each other.
But sadly it can't be done. The nature of human with greed and selfishness runs through everyone's blood.
The new generations is also being taught by the old gens over passing the bad traits.

Man, the Foundation finds enough conflicting evidence when it comes to alternate realities. Sure, some of them are paradise, but just as many others are worse hellscapes than the SCP universe itself. Periodically, they'll find one (or more) that are just... the same, though. I forget which, but there is a tunnel or hallway in one of the Sites that links to another reality in each direction, but they are so similar, it takes a bunch of repetitions to figure out it's not a simple looping tunnel.
With all that, it's a wonder the Foundation does not simply close off/concrete over any doorways to alternate realities they find.
I think if they did that though they run the risk of being blind as to the going ons of eldritch horrors. Even just a little bit of info could mean life or death from the foundations view
they did close off one mirror dimension in a cave because death itself killed off all life in there to the very organisn, and the foundation did not want to risk death entering their world and have the same thing happen. it was SCP-2935 if im correct and scp explained covered this scp as well.
The 0-5 counsil might find a use for them in the future. Even the horrifying world ending ones.

I kind of agree with Avalon here. A6k needs to achieve world peace on their own. Its like in Star Trek where they're not supposed to interfere with developing cultures. It just makes sense.
¿How does it "just make sense"? That is like the entire world shunning poor tribal communities and saying "they need to invent their own medicine, we don't need to share our knowledge with them", just imagine how much poorer the world would be if Europe restricted advanced machines from being shared with any non-Western civilisation during the industrial revolution.
They could at least send some small things that are fairly inconsequential.
I for one would love a utopic casserole recipe or a top from there. Could be cool.

Yeah there is just that option as it would be difficult to determine how much should be given and being honest I think if we would be given everything they achieved we wouldn't be able to appreciate it and would try to invade them or demand more or something similar selfish
Aside from these videos, I'm not too invested in the SCP Foundation (a lot of them seem to fall into horror, my least favorite genre). I started watching these after learning about SCP-999, the Tickle Monster, and my favorite for the longest time was SCP-001, Dr. Wondertainment.
This one, though, might just be my new favorite.
I recommend SCP 1230 a hero is born, it's a little sad but it also makes me happy it's weird, I don't know how to describe it.

Awwww... you should have mentioned that in this universe, David had a cat like that (I don't think this was ever outright stated, but it was hinted at), and in that universe, that cat was friends with that universe's David, who had died, and she brought our version of David over to spend a little more time with "an old friend".

so this is kinda like the scp that i've always wanted to write (i wanted to write a scp thats basically a good ending dimension were all scps work with humanity and the evil ones are just misunderstood though in my vers the inhabitants of 6001 all want to help the other universe but can't because the portal only allows 1 person in at a time and you can't bring anything with you through it)

Wow a world where both humans and SCP’s get along(kind of) sounds like my type place.
I have a love-hate relationship with this SCP. On one hand, The concept of achieving world peace - especially with the existance of SCPs - just doesn't sit right with me. And on the other hand, the concept is so interesting that even if I find it unlikely, I still like it so much.
Because it impacts our ingrained need to have the free will to do whatever we want to whomever we want, the only thing holding most of us back being the consequences.
Yeah, kinda same. Seems really weird that SCPs such as 173 would ever become peaceful, but it is still a very nice story. If they'd only keep the clearly dangerous SCPs locked up and released all the ones that are willing to cooperate (after very carefully checking whether they're lying just to get out and wreak havoc) it could lead to a utopia not very different from this alternate universe.
It just seems too good to be true. It kind of gives the same vibes as "A Brave New World", like a society that prioritizes comfort to such degree is ultimately doing away with an integral part of the human experience.
@@Frikiman_H The difference being that the society in "Brave New World" essentially said "be happy, or we will MAKE you be happy against your will". 6001 says "Here's everything you need to find your OWN happiness. Long as you don't step on anyone's toes, have fun and be you."
@@Frikiman_H Whenever you give total authority to any ONE person or ONE group of people you run the risk of things going south and turning from Utopia to horror if that organization gets CORRUPTED in some way leaving no viable alternative. Think about the GALACTIC EMPIRE in Star Wars for an example of that. What if things are wonderful for a while then some corrupt selfish greedy people start to take control. A system like this lacks the necessary CHECKS AND BALANCES that a government needs to help prevent that horrible fate. Its the metaphor of "all the eggs in one basket" to the Nth degree....
Why can't we as a species just live in harmony with one another? Like that universe in the video, life would be so much better.

I'd be interested to know some of the other scps take on this place and their alternate counterparts. I feel like avalon just had a lot of weaker versions or ones that were far less malicious for the most part.
I have an issue with this whole, "When one day they are ready to ask for help..."
How is this supposed to happen if the Foundation hides as much as possible from the world? The only people who would know about this would be connected to Foundation in some way. I am pretty sure that if given the opportunity to seek out help from an alternative reality where world peace was achieved, lots of people who agree to ask for that help.
That's an easy answer. The day that they're ready to ask for help is going to be the day that it is too late.

It's probably is but with a small start. Kind of like starting a new habit. You don't want to go big because you'll give up afterwards. Start small then slowly build up

I love this SCP while it’s true the other dimension is sad this SCP shows that humanity can be better that it’s possible for monsters like SCP 682 to be good things were just simply handled the wrong way with the scps in general a perfect world is possible we just need to take the steps to do it.
I thought to myself, this doesn't make sense and world peace is impossible, but then I remembered that it's an SCP, an anomaly, and that's just what makes it so anomalous.
SCP-6001 could have been where Tilda Moose ended up if she responded “Stories on stories.” to SCP-6000.

the easiest answer is not every universe has every single scp. many of the scp entries are kind of counter to each other, especially ones where the world ends in the description or the foundation changes forever in testing.
the kitchen sink answer is they are now friends with an incredibly large number of high class reality warpers.

I liked this. Lawful good foundation compared to lawful evil foundation. They should do these for individual SCPs. It was a REALLY well needed twist.
I always found the Foundation to be Lawful Neutral rather than Lawful Evil. Cold, not Cruel. If they have to do something horrid, there is more often than not a good, solid reason behind it.

That's an interesting AU.... Alone the Scarlet King as a Chinese chef. And can it be that the Foundation's parallel foundation sends one of its SCPs if the Foundation has real problems with one of theirs?
So... Avalon is the resting place of King Arthur. Does that mean this universe is the resting place of a great king?
Perhaps a place where The Scarlet King was defeated by The Tickle Monster, and thus peace was obtained? Because this honestly sounds like something only The Tickle Monster could bring about at a higher level of power.
A lot got skipped over and some errors. I think sticking more to the original narrative flow of the SCP would have made for a better video too. I know you guys prefer the shorter method to churn these out faster (and you surprisingly do a good job on your scripts), you might want to consider putting in longer projects for some SCPs. And give them the proper attention so you don't make the same mistakes like you did in Ouroboros Cycle.
As for the SCP itself, it is interesting in some aspects. I do find it a bit too idealistic, but seeing how peace was made with certain SCPs was neat to read.
sad thing is, according to the scp wiki, david does go back... so I haven't seen a story that ended up with him staying...

It makes sense that 682 hated lofe less when he had more of his species. If there was a breeding group of them at one point they must have been less hateful and destructive or they'd have wiped everything out.

I can guarantee, that any politician or political party in this reality would chew up and spit out all those reasonable rules and try to take credit for it saying it was all "their" ideas in the first place.
Oh... so an alternative reality where peace-love-hope pipe-dreams became real via an impossible walk. A lovely idea but it falls under a typical pop-culture vision of Heaven, something none of us will ever dream to have in our mortal life.
This SCP is an interesting one as it suggests that the the realization of World Peace is an anomaly in and of itself (at least from the perspective of more realistic SCP Foundation's universe).

For the record, 343 is voluntarily in containment. He has the capacity to leave whenever he wants and do whatever he wants. He chooses to stay in that cell, which lends some credence to the idea that he isn't really who he says he is...

as much as I like the concept of this scp, the execution in the article is just plainly off. The Avalon world simply sits and judges the main scp timeline for not being perfect when, by all accounts, the scp’s of the Avalon timeline seem to be weaker/ more neutral to humanity. Unlike Avalon, in the main world every instance of the foundation foolishly locking up or destroying a scp is paired with 4 or more examples of a outwardly hostile scp they can’t afford to be nice toward, or a story where their want to not be as harsh as possible bites them in the butt. It’s very clear that Avalon has nothing close to something like the flesh that hates, and the constant mocking of the main timeline becomes grating 1/4 of the way through the story

I only see 6001 as an spin off. The universe we know or what we focus on it’s the main one and places like 6001 are sprinter realities. They are just a toned down universe. They might think they can help the main one but they misunderstand the danger in the main universe. After all it seems like they are missing several more dangerous scps

I didn't find the reference of the ending in the original article that Caspian lived on in Osaka in the Compendium universe. Didn't him come back to our A6K after saying goodbye to Primrose? A bittersweet ending, and then he came back to wrote his travel journals to send them to "you".
(Spoilers) The Compendium counterpart of Caspian was a good friend of Primrose, but unfortunately he has deceased due to an accident. That was how the story actually started. Primrose found the other Caspian in A6K and invited him to the Compendium universe, because she missed him very much. That's why she insisted on avoiding too serious topics and suggested Caspian to "just enjoy your day here, take it as a vacation!".
Near the story's end, surely Primrose really wanted Caspian to stay in her world, but he expressed his worries that he couldn't. So, in the last paragraph he said farewell and pet Primrose's head, and came back to our world.
I think they just misread a different interaction in the story about someone else at the bar

One problem with ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT is that if it ever gets corrupted or a power hungry cruel dictator takes over there is no recourse. That would make a great sequel to this story.

This isn’t a bad video. What it does is tells us about a SCP world in a brief format, and it does it fine doing that, but to anyone reading this, I feel like this video does not give the story behind SCP 6001 justice. You should go read the story, it’s truly beautiful.

I think the actual document was better. The actual document brings heart and drama to the story making it interesting and a great scp.
Also the deciding vote was the SCP Foundation of the Utopia, I’m surprised they left so much out, we had a huge series on SCP-5000 but only a short blip of this. Also this is the universe that the reluctant dimension hopper went to and got suicidal when being forced back. Also the guy didn’t stay but was offered to.
