I admit it, I'm the Magikey player in Duel Links using Knight Sisters. It's low key pretty good as an emergency wall because 2400 DEF on a 4 Star vanilla is just 👌

The ROTA and Dark Magician are my favorites, I love alternate artwork for cards and those were great examples of that
Yeah, the fact there’s also the Sky Striker ROTA being made gives me some hope. My absolute dream would be Emergency Teleport with different art for various Psychic Archetypes.
Funny detail: Marauding Captain (and the guy next to him with the grill on his helmet) are still in the alternate art, getting shoved out of the way

If they did, I could see that happening. Since the Yugioh Manga characters sometimes join the big JUMP crossovers.

I prefer making archetypes inspired by those series rather than putting those series on the cards.
Like a monsters that's basically Goku but isn't actually him.
For years I had a feeling Ultimate Baseball Kid was referencing something or part of an Archetype, and now I know what! They should make a full Ultimate Baseball archetype for Power Pro Baseball.
I honestly think they should! Always fun when they do retains or build on some classic old cards.

I will say, the main reason magic the gathering did MLP cards and Transformers cards is simply because WotC is owned by Hasbro, but yes, a lot of the "universes beyond" (what WotC calls the crossover cards) content is quite strange.

I thought Ultimate Baseball Kid was a reference to the games as well, but that's an og card, and for some reason they didn't really do many cards like that back in the day, which is a shame as they own tons of franchises, and pyramid head as a zombie would make a lot of sense!
I definitely agree on the crossovers not really being necessary for the game. The ability to make something that has the general air of a specific franchise without having to literally be it lets a card be for people who like the property it's based on while not needing to turn off people who might not like it.
Dark Magician is extra neat because since Power Pro is not at all popular in the West it probably might appear to a regular Westerner like it's just a chibi Dark Magician alt art.
Yeah, for me, I like really Pokémon, but I definitely wouldn’t want that to crossover into Yugioh. But Ritual Beast is one of my favorite archetypes for both the gameplay and the concept of people partnering up with creatures. It has the monster taming kind of vibe with a fantasy twist, its own lore, and gorgeous art. I much rather this kind of thing where there’s something similar to what people might like, but is completely unique.

Some guy styled on me with power pro knight sisters in magikeye and that made me a little sad no lie.
Konami also doesn't seem too shy about doing collaborations with properties they don't own, like Light Bringer Lucifer from Monster Strike. But they seem to lean more into creating original designs to advertise other brands, like the recent CoCo's Curry cards. Maybe that could be a follow up video?

Not gonna lie, from a character design standpoint, getting rid of the Chibi appearance in favor of just making them look like the same anime girls we see in literally every other piece of media is just dull.
Superdeformed/Stylized art makes simplistic appearances stand out, but getting rid of that feature takes away any identity. Pair them with otherwise even more generic names and really the only thing that would tell anyone that it's a crossover is the shoehorned baseball player pulling a Boota in the foreground.

It's funny how Konami doesn't give people the crossovers they would want like Yu-Gi-Oh! X Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh X Digimon or something

That 2400 DEF level 4 no tribute card is way too powerful. I doubt they'd let you play it in a tournament.
The original card it’s referencing, Noble Knight Brothers, has the same stat line plus an Effect.

We got the cards based on the Ganbare Goemon games, so I don't see why Konami can't bring these to America (aside from Konami constantly making terrible decisions)
Since these were in a promo pack, I’ll bet they can’t figure out which set to put them in as imports for some reason, so they just figured “eh, put em in Master Duel and we’re good.”
