I bought on a local auction site an RTX 2080Ti (ASUS ROG Strix) with Strix waterblock installed and the original fan assembly/backplate/parts included; for ~US$283 this past July (delivered price). Sold the waterblock parts, netting a final price of just under ~$230. It's runs like a champ and undervolts very well. Very stable. One issue I noted with the card was the plastic socket (on the GPU PCB) for the fan power, which was damaged and could not effectively secure the fan connection from the fan-plug assembly. No issue...one small black tie-wrap solved the issue and avoid my needing to source a plastic socket to solder in/replace the missing connection clip. A non issue if running with the waterblock...but alas...this was not my desire. To me the 2080Ti for under $240, if in good condition, is a pretty good deal. Good VRAM at 11GB...Raytrace HW...DX12...not bad at all. Perfect match for my E5-2696v3 rig. Anything more is a bit of an overkill.
nice! I ended up buying a waterblocked 2080 ti from a machine learning rig also for $230. I don't have a custom loop, but I do have a 360mm aio... so now it has an AIO strapped to it lol
Upgraded my daughter's PC/VR rig...HuananZhi X79 Deluxe + E5-4627v2 + 32GB DDR3 1600...to ASUS B550A Gaming + R7 5800X + 2x16GB Trident Z Royal 3600. Sold off the old parts...net cost of the upgrade was $200. A nice upgrade for the price, imo.
In my country the deals started months ago, got an EVGA 2080ti FTW 3 ultra (one of the best 2080ti, already cleaned and repasted by the owner) for 300$ and an almost new Sapphire pulse 6600xt for 130$, there was barely any dust when I disassembled it for cleanup. Bought way too many PC parts last few months because of the good deals used and new.
I'd probably buy that 2080ti from you even though it would be unnecessary since i have almost the same GPU. I have the evga 2080ti xc gaming 11GB card. I wish i had the hybrid model or the one you have though lol
That Elsa 3070 is just a crazy cool bargain. It was going at msrp for maybe a week when it came out. She was going for 160,000 Yen after that. 30,590 yen is a good grab.
I just recently visited Japan a few weeks ago, and realised I had been in a few of the shops you highlighted! I ended up spotting a new rtx 4070 TUF gaming for about £470 ($500) with the tax taken off), seeing as they sell them in the UK for over £600 for most variants! I ended up buying a ROG Azoth mechanical keyboard for about £160/$200~ after tax free discount, the same place is saw the 4070- A placed called Sofmap, in Akihabara it was on the 4th floor if I recall, they have a small used parts section there and were relatively well priced against the values I’m familiar with in the UK 😊
The tech YES economics is TRUE right now! Swooped up a Panasonic GH5 for 399$ from a local camera shop! The shutter count was under 300 and the power cycles was around 1000. There's insane deals out there secondhand right now on EVERYTHING
Nice deal on that 3070! I'm hopeing I can find a similar deal here in Canada when I can get the money to upgrade from my GTX 1070, should be October at the earliest otherwise I'd need to wait for the new year. My target would be to get a 2080 Ti, 3060 Ti, 3070, 6700 XT or 6750 XT for around $300 CAD, $350 CAD max (using google to convert currency currently that would be like 32321 JPY/$221 USD, 37708 JPY/$258 USD max)
Prices are going nuts here in the US as well on the used market. This weekend i picked up and EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra with a year of warranty left for $300, from the same guy I also got a MSI RTX 2070 for $125. Both cards are like new. Last week I picked up a 1660 Super and GTX 1080 for $100 for the pair. The 3080 is for my VPin, the rest are going in builds I will sell.
haswell might be going up in price due to its retro compatibility with older operating systems all the way back to xp ,that combined with still having avx2 makes it a good allrounder
I just bought zotac 3070 for same 230 USD. Need to replace one of the damaged fan. And need to replace thermal paste coz i messed up the original paste during the fan replacement process.
That 7900xt is an absolute bargain, it will be a relevant GPU for years and years to come. Performance per dollar and dollar spent per quality provided over the years, that thing has to be up to par if not slightly better than the 1080ti, I want one, but the cheapest I can buy it for here is $925, my heart aches. 😔😔
Don't recall the exact price, But I got my 7900XTX on sale for close to that price. Cheapest I recall seeing on sale a 7900XT was around 719 and tax (sold out of course) during Fantastech sale. I think 700-800 is an acceptable range for 7900XT.
I read 2070 and though that’s nothing special. But 3070! That’s very good. I remember when I sold my 3070 for 900 bucks and that was still a good deal compared to most selling for 1000 or more.
I bought 2 of my local cybercafe pcs that were closing... the specs are:- i5 8400 H310 gigabyte motherboard 12gb ddr4 2666 NVidia gtx 1060 6gb 27" 1080p 144hz acer curved display generic gaming keyboard, mouse and headset Sadly no storage They were going for 200 usd... is that a good bargain
Hitting my old routes. ;) Did you check both Hardoffs? When I was there I picked up a 2070 Super for around 120, it wasn't even in the display glass yet when I snapped it up from them, but someone really needs to go reevaluate some of those prices that are from when the GPU shortages existed.
Enjoy the Channel, No matter what your Opinion is, If people don't like it, don't view the channel. What boggles my mind is People that talk themselves into something that is Better just because something has the feature. 3 months ago I got a Zotac Trinity OC on OfferUp for $700. IMO that is the bar. I also got a bstock 3060 for $230. Nobody should buy new right now, buy used current gen.
I have given away so many 3070's, the only one I sold was a few months ago for $180. I'm a high end user though. Owner of a few 4090's and a 4080. I just don't value the 3070 and think they shouldn't be sold over $200 because of the Vram discrepancy.
Just an fyi when overclocking the memory on older gpus, the chips itself can determine how far it can go. For GDDR5 Samsung chips usually hit +350 easily where as micron would be lucky to hit +200 on a lot of cards
Hey that all the stores I visit !! , Dospara can be interesting it's sometimes worth picking up one of the cheap full PC's just for the motherboard and PSU last time I picked up a i5-6500 with a H170 motherboard and 650W PSU for 11,000 JPY
This is funny, I have an Evga 3080ti FTW3 water cooled posted for sale locally, I’ve been trying to sell it for months now for only $400 and nobody wants to buy it, I guess people think that because Evga doesn’t make gpus some how the card just stopped working….
I'm glad they are killing off Bit-mining... They are the reason GPU's went stupid in prices. Wondering why there are stores like this in the states.. Fry's is gone here in Texas..
hi sir you think I could score a rtx 2080ti in a good condition in 2023 because I want a gpu that has a nice vram for playing sim racing like assetto corsa in realistic mods
I know this has nothing to do with the video but I had a question. I installed portable Windows (Windows to Go) to a portable SSD USB drive and it worked fine, but when I ran into an issue with Windows update not working and tried to repair the install, the media I used to install it originally says it cannot repair a portable installation. I've used the install for months without issue and have a lot of things customized now, installed, etc so I don't want to clean install if I can avoid it. Can anyone help?
hi, i'm sorry if this an unrelated question to the video about the 3070, i found a deal locally for an used PNY 1660 Super XLR8 only for a 103.45 USD, is that a good deal? should i cop that? Thanks
Not a good deal: 1070 is faster card for only $55. Buy AMD Radeon RX 6600 (26% faster) for $105 or 6600XT (36% faster) $135 (newer/faster/better and you can overclock it for more fps).
thanks for the suggestions but here the regular RX6600 priced at $179.57, and used 1070 is priced the same as used 1660s , my budget is around $120. what do u suggest?@@mrpath1524
$210? Madness (in deep, Jamaican accent). 😂 🇯🇲
Yes I took an estimate for a new rig and it cost 350k JMD. Right now I'm just buying used parts off ebay and upgrading...
@@beasttitan8747if you know someone overseas buy all the parts and ship it to them and let them package it in one and you’ll pay cheaper to clear it
Thanks for the pin! 📌 Tech yeah!
@@beasttitan8747 It is really cool comunicating with a tech enthusiast from J.A.! BIG UP! 🤝
Masaka!
I got a used 3080 for $260 last month. It just needed some thermal paste and it scored in the 95% range in Port Royal. The deals are out there.
I actually picked up a 3070 off eBay for a little over 200 last week! It’s crazy how cheap they’re getting
That's a nice find
Great job dude!

The funniest thing, TYC, is that I love that store and frequent it a lot. They've sometimes got really rare SSDs in there. Have fun shopping in Akiba!

It's a hard choice between the Power supply and that motherboard as my favourite. Both are really good and dirt cheap.
