I was at a park last week and I heard a kid shout “Kobe” as he shot and hit a three pointer. My buddy and I were amazed a 10 year old in 2020 yelling Kobe on a shot because we did it back in the day.

He has been part of my childhood to adulthood. He has cause us joy and anger. He's the family member that just stops by for a few, but leaves a lasting impression. This man was bigger that the court, but the court is what made him so big. Rest in peace to all the victims. Praying for all of their families.

As a celtics fan that grew up with Kobe just coming into the league I despised the guy when he destroyed my team. But the guy gave me memories that I'll never forget. A lot of us that watch basketball we have no one positive in our lives to look up to, to aspire to be. Kobe was that person for a lot of us. The guy was truly a great and hearing of his passing hit us like losing a father or a brother or the cool uncle. We will never forget him even though he didn't know us we will always love him. Prayers to his family and all the families affected by this absolute tragedy. We are all mourning not as a country not as a fanbase but as one giant family right now.

But Kobe was someone who Has been a part of our collective culture for nearly 25 years. We don’t know the other victims. It’s terrible and a tragedy and I feel for all of the families and friends of those involved, but for Kobe, it actually feels like I lost a family member. An older brother. Someone who I could always count on to be there, in his case on tv playing basketball, when I needed him.

I'm not really into basketball but, What got me, aside from the pain that these families might be feeling right now is the door that closes, I remember people saying that Kobe would never like the retirement because he loved the sport so much, and then he gets into the whole thing of helping kids, having his own academy and seeing his Gianna as the keeper of his legacy. I hope that LA keeps Mamba Academy filled with kids so maybe we can open this door again.

This was one of the most shocking celebrity deaths I ever heard and the daughter dying in top of it and 7 other people just makes it even worse. He was a great basketball player, father, husband and influencer. I don’t think anyone will get over this, like it feels so dormant. Only hope people see how precious life is and they won’t ever take one day for granted now.

The rams originated in LA and have played more games in LA than the raiders. I know raiders fans run LA but thats facts so giving love to the rams isnt hard to do because its not like they are rivals or anything. Raiders real home is in the east bay more so than LA or vegas tho
LA is still a Raiders town. Me being from San Diego they use to fill up the Chargers stadium.
@@RyderGroveSt thats because raiders are a universal brand and san diego is not a sports town bunch of beach bums and rich folks beside logan, southeast, chula vista, san ysidro to name a few and most them mexicans and blacks like the raiders over chargers. Thats why SD has had sports team leave. Plus raiders travel well and its easier to take over san diego (two hours away) then go up to oakland even tho my cousins use to take a fan bus from LA to oakland. Vegas isnt far from LA and close enough to the bay. The raiders will still takeover in vegas. Plus vegas is niner and raiders fans mostly from what ive seen.

Didn't watch much basketball in my life but I knew who kobe was. I knew he was a legend when athletes of the sport I watch (futbol/soccer) met with him and took pictures with him. He was known internationally respected around the world by the best footballers around. I almost forgot today that this even happened.
