I hate that it took Kobe's death for people to realize how great he was. So many people, like Max and Nick, used to disrespect Kobe and talk badly about him. Now that he's gone, everyone wants to act like they suddenly love him.

Facts. I use to tell everybody Eddie Jones was my cousin lol. That made me a Lakers fan and then I became a Kobe Bryant fan.

I know my favorite memories of Kobe will always be when watching him play those regular season into the playoffs and winning those NBA championships and seeing him play on the American team during the summer of the Olympics and winning the good medal with Lebron and so many other players on the team. He was truly one of my favorite basketball players and when watching him play, I knew I wanted to play better at basketball by wanting to be like Kobe. We will truly miss you Kobe and we also miss your 13 year old daughter that died with you as well!!

Yes, I remember when I watched Kobe became an all star when he was not even the starter with Lakers. I thought, this kid must be good. And at the end, it wasn’t just a hype.
I want to hear that radio segment Max was talking about. It would put a whole new perspective of what was going on that year with Dwight. No offense, but it was a way more compelling story than the title of the video which features Ice Cube’s thoughts.

Yeah, it would be great to hear. And it was interesting that Max said that Dwight is playing for LeBron the way Kobe wanted him to play back when they were together. And Dwight still had some athleticism then. They could have been great but Dwight's ego wouldn't allow it. Dwight has been humbled in the last few years since then and has acquitted himself quite well this year...proud of Dwight for that...and maybe his reward will be a chip as a role player to LBJ and AD.

Jerry West didn't steal Shaq from Orlando. Shaq wanted to come to LA. Orlando didn't wanna pay Shaq and he felt disrespected. Also it's the Lakers! It's LA! Great players want to play there. Shaq also realized he was not winning a title in Orlando. Shaq wanted 150 million, West got em 120 million. Money+LA/Lakers+Orlando being cheap/disrespectful was the reason Shaq went to the Lakers. 2 years before it happened a friend of mine said "Shaq is going to LA. Just watch." So many people saw it coming.
Shaq’s agent also wanted him to play in LA…Shaq himself said (at an Orlando magic event honoring him after he retired) that if he knew back then what he knows now about the nba he would have stayed in Orlando
