I came here because I am re-watching Smallville for the fifth time since it originally aired and I’ve always loved it so much and it is very nostalgic for me to see these scenes and me being such a deep person and appreciating true love that I don’t have anyone in my life who would truly understand the gravity of this scene and episode as much as the true fans of Smallville. This scene is everything and hits hard
the song and the scene gave me goosebumps 7 years ago when i first saw it, it does the same today ... "exodus" and "exile" were the best smallville episodes
@@rh5466 he’s about to destroy his spaceship he came in which explodes part of their home and causes Martha to loose her baby. So he leaves town because handle the pain he caused to everyone. It’s such an emotional part especially knowing what happens.
They really landed this scene and feel with this song. You can feel the depth and emotion. This scene and song together are a perfect work of art. Especially when he calls to Lana and says “ I just wanted to remember this moment “ and she turns and pauses while smiling for just the right amount of time. Awesome job directors !
I don't know if anybody realizes how powerful this song is, specially in Clark's situation, so underrated, for me it's their strongest scene in the whole series
It really is a contender for sure. It feels like an ending. That the innocent 'Freak of the week' show that Smallville has been is now replaced with something darker and more grey, because Clark is going to make this very poor decision. He was just about to have everything in his life that he and his parents wanted but because of selfishness, fear and confusion he is just about to lose it. Powerful.
I love this show so much ever since I was a kid going through high school myself. It helped me feel good about myself whenever I was down about myself, i always had Smallville.
Me too!! The first 2 minutes of that song are the best part of the whole song. I’m actually not a fan of the mood switch with the rest of the song because the beginning was so powerful, deep, dark. I keep looking for a video that only plays the beginning, or has it on a loop. I have yet to find one.
I know I'm almost a decade late but this is season 2 episode 23 your probably don't want to know now because you found out probably already stay safe hopefully your ok after almost a decade
Clark is in love with lana but he can´t go forward with the relationship because of his secrets (Jor-El tries to force Clark to fulfill his destiny), so he is heartbroken because he sees the woman he loves in a beatiful dress and knows he will never be able to truly be with her, hence why the music says "here by my side an angel (lana), here by my side the devil (in clark´s mind jor-el is the antagonist)"
Lana knows something's wrong. She can sense it somehow. That's the one thing with women. They are very smart, sweet, caring. They can also be very dangerous, deadly, and great defenders who will protect you and be there for you no matter what, when they really love you. Women won't stay somewhere if they know it's a waste of their time, and its going knowhere! And very quick to catch things and notice more then us men do! You can't pull a fast one on them hardly at all! All you can do is respect that. Honor women. They are romantic creatures. They are brilliant and clever by nature! Never estimate the power of a woman!
Je me suis regardé toutes les saisons de Smallville malheureusement les 8,9,10 sans lex luthor sont nuls, les premières saisons par contre et cette scène 😍

The Best of world Smallville... Good song
this song makes me cry, knowing what Clark is about to do, knowing it's what makes him leave everyone after
Can you elaborate please? What is Clark about to do? What makes him leave everyone? I don't understand.

this song was perfect for them
Most powerful scene in the entire series hands down
I just finished rewatching all 10 seasons, and I must say this scene is probably the best of all.
I've been watching the entire series over. Just finished season 2. I love this scene! Combined with this song it's amazing!

Amazing, beautiful scene....
Been binge watching the blu-ray collection and this scene is still so good with music playing.
I love this show so much ever since I was a kid going through high school myself. It helped me feel good about myself whenever I was down about myself, i always had Smallville.
Such a good scene...
Ever time i listen to this song it reminds me of all the ex's that hurt me
Matthew Good is a local legend where Im from. The show was probably alright too.
This show has crushed me mentally I cry almost at the end of every clark and lana ending\ scene) and I'm only on Season 3 and going on Ep.10 😢😢😭
There’s something about it. I want to watch the series again but I’m not sure I can handle it! Haha

even though i knew clark wouldnt die for some reason it just made me cry...love this series ^^
Just remember this moment I cry
When I was young, while watching this scene, I used to imagine I was Clark and Lana was my high school crush. Silly me.
who didn't, lol
Not so silly as i was 30 and still wished lana was my crush... Her character in smallville was just that adorable!
Your not alone my friend
Still there dude...
Haha me too and we got engaged but it went no further
Que saudade smallville 😭😭😭😭
Just started rewatching season 4 again!!!

oh yea this scene is deep. it makes me feel scared like its going to end badly. (I was praying) LOL Dam..
Id prefer to keep the slow guitar solo favorite. I notice the repeat at 1:33 when lana looks back ahahahah. Man i want a loop version like that.

thank you for taking the time to explain the scene to me :)
No prob man, one of the best scenes in the hole show IMO, music and the conflict are on point
Breno Santos Yess it really fits the scene perfectly

There is gonna be way to make the song play the beginning part only.
Oh Lana😍
Lana is amazing xxx
Which season is this from?
Ronny Fallas Saison 2 episode 23
this tune goes perfect with covid 19...stay safe peeps
I always wanted a relationship like Lana and Clark's but now that I've grown up I realize that romances like that are like fairy tales.
