Hey Ferg, I am going to visit my sister next week in Mandeville. Going to have an afternoon, to do some bank fishing. Any advice or tips on whats working would be very appreciated. I live in South Florida, so don't have much know how for that lake.
If you want to fish in Mandeville, go to Jackson street. Dead shrimp on bottom, or try cast netting mullet to use as live or cut bait. You can catch everything from big blue cats to black drum. The best fishing is later in the evening till about midnight. If you get bored soaking bait, have a swim bait handy and work the whole water column! It’s pretty basic and there aren’t many bank fishing spots out here unfortunately. Hope that helps! Were you at offshore mania this weekend in Navarre?
@@fishinwithferg6048 Appreciate the tips. Ill probably be taking swim baits and like artificial Shrimp (Vudu). If I have no luck on first day, will have to try and get some bait. You mean Jackson Avenue right? BY the boat launch? Thats what I had in mind to try and and go alongside Lakeshore Drive. And again thank you, as well if you are near by and are free on the Third in the afternoon. Let me know.
Glad to see this lake getting better with fish cause I used to never catch anything and now I’m starting to catch a few now and then
It’s definitely hit or miss, but it’s getting better!
Nice Red🔥.... Keep the videos coming. 💪I'm tuned in.....
Thanks bro!
Greetings from Thibodaux.🤙
Caught a nice slot red at the end of bayou Saint John at the locks on a popping cork, k hook, and dead shrimp

Make it a point to stop in at Marsh and Bayou! Tell em Ferg sent you. They have frozen bait if you want to try that, mullet, shrimp etc.
