My father got me started when I was a kid. He always made time for me and my brother and took us fishing often. I've thanked him for doing so and continue to thank him, as he deserves it. However, a lot of what I learned I had learned on my own, through studying books, watching videos, and putting a LOT of time in on the water. Today I have that knowledge neatly arranged inside LAFB Elite where other anglers can benefit from it and get straight to the fun part of catching fish, and less time learning things the hard way. Yeah you right my dude. Electronics are just another tool in the tool box. Have to have a lot of other knowledge to make them work for you. Great video.
Yeah man I don’t play with them storms. Especially when I’m out in big water. I’ve been caught out in my kayak in a bad storm doing the whole “1 more cast then I’ll go in”.
I have played with storms and have been in more than one shitty situation across Louisiana's coast. It is experience I am glad to have, but not glad to have gone through. It's how I'm able to make good rolls of the dice and (usually) not get caught with my pants down.
I live on lake ponchartrain, any tips to finding the reds in June? I'm starting to take my son fishing, we usually try the grasslands in madisonville near T rivers
That's a great question because there ISN'T a Tatula I use on the regular. I'd say I equally use the 100, SV and 150. It just depends on what I'm doing. @@roystubenrauch5625 Thank you for that information and you definitely got me out of the house today. I live about 2 miles away from the lake in Gentilly so it was my go-to spot. Sadly no bites, but just enjoying some time out of the house.
Did you fish with your grandpa? Who taught you to fish?

Dev, you’re awesome. Watching your vids keeps me from texting my ex when I can’t fish late at night. Keep up the good work

You and flats class is the 2 best saltwater inshore tubers thanks
I don't think I hold a candle to C.A. Richardson, but I appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching, James.
Great video!
Looks like your feeling better.
No more explosive rocket propulsion out both ends.

Well said. Thanks for watching, Jared.
Very well done buddy.
Thanks for the visit. You're doing good things with OTL.

@@LAFishBlog as long as you make it out alive, it makes for a good story too. Lol

I’ve tried doing this last year on the causeway finding bait balls. Caught a few. I really need to upgrade to a side imaging unit.
Yeah, you see a lot more with side imaging sonar.
Which daiwa tatula do you use on the regular I'm thinking about getting a couple of them?

Just moved down to New Orleans. Are there any good places to wade fish around here? I'm from Texas and that's all we did
Yes, Grand Isle and Elmer's Island.
Mowing the lawn is no fun!!!! FISH ON!!!
lol agreed
was the tide moving in are going out.
Moving in, IIRC
What reel do you recommend that is good
Hey Ashtyn, than really depends on you and your needs. Without any further information, I'd say a Daiwa Tatula 150.
Tight lines!
What side of the lake are you on?
I really like it when people aren't afraid to use what I teach and get out there and put a little elbow grease in to enjoy catching some fish.
As far as I know the only rigs left in the lake are around Kenner. Which means he ran from one side of the lake to the other.
