I'm a huge Stones fan and I was so happy when the Black Crowes came along and sounded and performed so much like the Stones from the 70's. They even play a lot of Stones songs in concert. Love the Black Crowes.
Balck crowes play their songs whith different stylistic variants. I think that's really the reason why they were and are so much successful. The best band ever, forget everything.
I actually think BYS (this era) is one of their most underrated albums.Chris is also fully exploring Millinery which is a well known side effect of cocaine abuse and being a tremendously successful rock singer in a top band.Nice to have a choir on board as well as ive posted comments before that they really add to their live performances and you can get a real groove and interraction going. Still a phenomenal band to this day may Heckle n Jeckle crow for a long time to come!

They were on that night... But whats truly great about the crowes, is that to this day there is no such thing as an off night. At the least they're gunna come out and blow you away for three hours and leave you deaf for a week.
I always felt that 1999 Crowes were more about the flash than the soul, so I think it works pretty well in this particular performance. Don't think they would work in '96/97.
