Audley and Marc are probably two of the most under rated guitar players of all time, their albums with the crowes where so powerful. Wish i coulda been around for those tours. Unfortunately I was still unfamiliar with most of there music at that piont in my life. Can't wait to see them Saturday!!!
Don't care how anybody looks...this is an amazing bit of music with all parts clicking. When the back-up singers nail the tip of the the crescendo..I weep just a little, awesome. I keep coming back to this post and always watch it for about a 1/2 an hour, last time I ever reset that often was when I was in grade school in the early 80s' and was intoduced to AC\DC. If you can liten on headphones, do this is a recording for TV so the production is not that great. Edit note...this time it was 45 mins. Beauty!
My favorite tune off a damned good album. "Virtue & Vice" being another that I couldn't get enough of at the time. Looked to me(still does even today) that they were ending the decade the very same way that it had begun for them......Kicking Ass.......Thanks for post!
I loved this tour, and I hope they'd perform songs like Kick My Heart Around or Go Tell the Congregation more often these days. The back up singers they had on this tour were my favourites! And they were babes too! :D
Some BC Fans didn't dig this record, But I DID! Saw them on this Tour too! Audley was bad ass back in Cry Of Love too...This was Sven's first stint with them too!
I remember this performance too, and had it saved on videotape as well but misplaced it or taped over it apparently. Glad to have been able to save it off youtube.
The Rolling Stones did Brown Sugar and Honky Tonk Women..So they already had cemented a Southern Rock sound in to their shtick. Even "Start me up" has elements of it. The original Rock and Roll was ALL Southern. The Appalachian Whites Country music and the Black Blues styles were put together and created Rock n Roll in its original form.
I love the song, but not sure how anyone can compare the backups singers here to Charity and Mona. These chicks are a little hotter, but Charity and Mona put these girls to shame when it comes to adding some soul to a Crowes song.
Ah yes, 1999. When glitter lotion and eye makeup and well, glitter everything was in. That is one nasty ugly Christmas sweater Chris is wearing though. Audley is smoking good though, and the backup singers Sound good too. I like this song off that album. Not all were so good, but you hit on some albums and not so much on others.
The worst fashion era in the band's history. Sparkles and eyeliner, wtf.... I love this band, but nah this apparel "gots to go". I actually think Steve, Sven and Audley look sharp in this video so I give them props. The music is always good tho. Some songs on By Your Side are awful, but about half and r rockin good.
The last of the real rock bands
Rich Robinson : One of the most underrated guitarists in music. Just love his stuff!
the entire album ' BY YOUR SIDE" is incredible..buy it!
True rock n’ roll!! Still listening in 2024 🙌🏻♥️🎸🇺🇸
the guitar work at the end is just plain BAD ASS!!
Audley Freed just takes the song to another level. Very nice.
Who are the backup singers. They nail it!!
Harmony,& soul BABY
We call it tha Song ";🙏🙏🙏☯️😎
Black Crowes = 70%Rolling Stones and 30%Faces=Winning Combo

"By Your Side" is the last best rock'n roll album in my humble opinion
Amo este tema y esta presentación !! Aguante Black Crowes!!!

This was a really short record, but every song is great. A tribute to Motown.
It aint the same without Barb and Joy! Thank you Barb and Joy! You added that special sumpt'n. Soullll
Who is Barb and Joy?
A pity that the sound quality is so poor. This is by far the best version of this song I've heard.
At least the drums sound great. Gorman is killin' it here!
gorman is such a great drummer
the album was awesome..great tour too!
just never caught on?!

The greatest song ever.
I remember this performance too, and had it saved on videotape as well but misplaced it or taped over it apparently. Glad to have been able to save it off youtube.

I've never heard this before now, but like it,great lyrics!Great group, thanks IVegtaml & thanks for the invite, great favs on your list!
They sound like if The Rolling Stones were a southern rock band!

The best as always
Ha ha!! I was about to say that! I remember that skinny female host of MTV during the early 90's. Back then when Chris R. use to look a lot like her.
Audley is a beast!!
A mix of Mick Jagger and Rod Stewart.
sho' nuff, love the lyrics!!!
this is the best Faces song Faces never did!
Audley Freed reminds me a little on Mick Taylor from the Stones. Same style.
Chris ❤❤
Holy shit, it's Martha Quinn!
Its HARD but its Fair,🙏☯️😎
Jealous again vibes for sure
Rock n Roll

yes
true story~ I've seen the forest...
3 Snakes is there weakest, if you can call anything they do "weak".
Louder please. ✌️
Audley the friendly beast
@rickinlaf Martha Quinn on the vocals? for the win!
Damn, I wish I could steal his voice.
Fucki'n cool rhythm
Man, Dont you just wanna hear the Crowes cover Stewart and The Faces..."True Blue" or "Gasoline Alley"?
I did! ; )
uh Rich's guitar!
@SJ9336JE are you sure that radio moscow, black drawing chalks don't worth a thing?
love the song...love the performance...what the hell is goin on with the hair

@jhrobbin
i know, aint she cute! ;)
@KeyserZoso
i didnt know martha quinn fronted a rock band
Great song...nightmarish haircut...
The Crowes are the last true Rock'n Roll band. All the rest out there is pretty much crap
Chris kind of looks like Cher.
Looks and sounds like a Rod Sewart and faces impersonation from an "idol" show or somethin
right down to the guitar riffs
Chris says By Your Side is his least favorite album. I think it's pretty strong. Three Snakes is their weakest, imo.
martha quinn or nemo philips
