Did she try to rescue her pets and was overcome by smoke inhalation? Was it a suicide by fire? Or was the blaze intentionally set to cover up a murder? From 2018: truecrimedaily...

    I get really tired of these interviews where people look you in the eye and say they were devoted and loving towards their spouse and yet they're cheating on them. Cheating on your spouse doesn't make you a murderer but it doesn't make you a nice person either. When you cross that line of cheating, nothing is sacred to you. History has shown time and time again that when people compromise in little things, it leads to much bigger things. This dude isn't on the level, he's already proven that with his lies with the people he was "devoted" to.

    • @mrs.tiffany
      @mrs.tiffany 3 роки тому +16

      @Smh Not again It clearly didn't go undetected and the town is not a big one I used to live there. Their property was a decent size but the town itself is not.Things like this do not just randomly happen around here and I know this for a fact because I have lived in or nearby most of my life. The house looked big and to me it seems like someone had to have brought a bunch of flammable material whether it be gas or something else to pour throughout for the entire house to be engulfed like that. People down here have bonfires and cookouts alot so we can tell if something may have been used. It definately didn't just start from a stove or anything. Someone went there with the intention to end this woman's life and cover up the evidence. It to me seemed planned. They had to have used alot of flammable fluid I would be looking at videos from nearby stores and gas stations to see if anyone purchased alot of those things around that time. This murder didn't just happen either it has been a few years. Her husband had just ended an affair and chose to stay with his wife. His mistress he met at his job. I think it is possible someone was upset with him and did this. If it were a stranger they were probably watching their every move and stalking beforehand but I really feel like it is someone close to them.

    • @mrs.tiffany
      @mrs.tiffany 3 роки тому +8

      @Smh Not again yes I don't think he was the one to actually kill her but he did have an affair and chose to stay with his wife and it could have caused the mistress to lose it. So in a round about way he could have caused it by stepping out on his marriage and with someone who he met at work. Not knowing that what he did by having an affair would result in his wife and pets getting killed.

      Father's if you love your daughters, then role model a godly faithful marriage (which means to your first wife!), and raise your children to love God! His daughter would not have married a sociopath evil man (or any man that was already married), if she was raised to value marriage and family over selfish desires! People wake up! If a "man" betrays and leaves his first wife and children (and never truly repents to God and goes back to remarry and love and cherish them), then he will do worse to you, eventually!

    You know what speaks to the husband's guilt, to me? He knows full well that the only way Nanette was caught unaware in her bedroom was (a) if she knew the person who walked in and killed her or (b) he, the husband, left a door or window open for someone to sneak in, or gave them a key, and shared her routine. BUT he didn't say that when asked by the interviewer. He's all "gee golly, I don't know how this could have happened". It's simple dude - she was so hyper aware of her own safety, that someone she knew had to have betrayed her! Yes, sir you're right: Justice WILL catch up to whoever did this! Oh. He came to the house and sat on the lawn far back, by the time they got there all that was left was the concrete ground of the house, as he pulled into the driveway he saw his other car and his wife’s car were still parked there, so he was in shock, when he sat far from the house on the lawn, if I thought someone I loved were probably dead in that fire, I’d refuse to go look and cry standing far from the house in disbelief. Pay closer attention, just because he has an alibi and is a fireman doesn’t make guilty, none of us know this woman and other people she interacted with, like the detective said, let’s not rule him out, but also, let’s no focus on him only.

      I still wouldn't rule him out but him and the brother are eliminated (for now) so if involved in planning it would involve another party.
      My loose theory is that some acquaintance of the brother (most likely a tweaker/unsavory character) heard him talking about his brother's 100 acre spread in the boondocks and thought it would be a good target for a robbery and figured it would be unoccupied.
      I wonder if they have pulled surveillance from addresses near/leading to the property because they could do a lot of narrowing down by seeing the vehicle in and out traffic.

    My husband got a call at work that our house was on fire. Our daughter and I were home, and he knew it. He made it home in less than half the time it took normally(we live in the country too, and they had to truck in water, it was January). The roads were blocked off by the police, and he just drove right through them. Once he seen us, the tears started coming. He had never been so scared in his life. Our daughter and I didn't even know there was anything wrong until we heard a large boom(it was a can of spray paint that blew up). I told her to go look outside and I would look through the house. It didn't take any time for her to run into the house and tell me there was a big hole in the roof and flames were coming out of it. I grabbed what I needed, and the dog and we went to the neighbors. The cats hid until almost midnight. The fire started where the hydro comes into the house, in the attic. Fortunately, we didn't lose much, they were able to put it out pretty quickly. But that stays with you, and it takes a long time to trust your house again. I so feel for him, when he got that call. The one good thing to come out of this, is the neighbor's son, who was a teenager at the time, is now a firefighter. Every time he drives by in the big truck, he honks the horn. Peace

      He could be involved BUT the police say she was alive AFTER he went to work (so if the husband is involved it would involve a 3rd party) and that person would have no need for a delayed ignition. It is an interesting case, I would like to know the conclusion.
      My loose theory is that some acquaintance of the brother (most likely a tweaker/unsavory character) heard him talking about his brother's 100 acre spread in the boondocks and thought it would be a good target for a robbery and figured it would be unoccupied.

They don't want kids. Or share their space and belogings with others - specially their wifes - for them they are there to serve and for sex. But since she couldn't have kids she settled with pets. Narcisistic people don't like that.
      This guy isolated her. Built a house in a isolated place. And went to the office to shag a younger woman. Wile his wife stayed alone in a golden prison he set up for her. She dare to suround herself with the company of animals... She care about them. That is not acceptable with narcisistic people because all the attention as to be on them.
      I bet he did something terrible with the pet, she had enought of him not caring about her, not keeping his promisses, continuing to have affairs with others, speding money with others... wile she was begging for love and caring herlsef. That night she said "ENOUGH"! I'am going to leave you!

She was kind and patient especially with screaming, crying babies when they are hungry, sleepy or needed their diapers changed. She was an absolute amazing human being. This is why it completely shocks me that anyone would and could kill her. Execution style? When I found out about her murder (found out in 2019 cuz I lived out of state when she was killed in 2017) I was shocked and thought that my friend who told me had gotten Nanette confused with someone else. My theory is that some acquaintance of the brother (most likely a tweaker/unsavory character) heard him talking about his brother's 100 acre spread in the boondocks and thought it would be a good target for a robbery and figured it would be unoccupied.
      I wonder if they have pulled surveillance from addresses near/leading to the property because they could do a lot of narrowing down by seeing the vehicle in and out traffic.
      I am also very curious if they were able to determine the cause of the fire, particularly if it was set using a delayed ignition device etc...
      BUT still feel that is unlikely because somebody had to be there to actually do all the shooting and if they were there doing the shooting they would have no need for a delayed device. This all assuming she was alive after he left for work, which the police say she was.
      It is unlikely the police would cover this up... just occams razor thing, much more mundane cause for them having alibis (however person could have been hired/involved)
      It is an interesting case, I would like to know the conclusion.

    Did Steven get a lot of insurance money, for losing his house and his wife? I believe that could be the motivation. As well as the desire not to have to sell his house and give his wife half of his income in a divorce. And the fire could be set with a timer to go off while he was at work.

    He left his first wife to marry her after simply hiring her for a job. Highly unlikely he never cheated on his wife before he divorced her to marry Nanette. He obviously wasn’t loyal from the beginning. He has to know more than he’s saying. The fire chiefs house burns down and he only shows up to fight it when there’s just a slab left. Cmon now. So the husband was a gun enthusiast and a fire chief, and the victim was murdered with a gun and a fire was used to cover her murder? How hard would it be for a fire chief to kill someone and then use a candle as a timer to come into contact with an accelerant (to provide an alibi)? Going around the house and shooting her pets sounds personal. Why shoot them when the fire is going to kill them anyway?
