There is alot of suspicion around jimmy, and I find it suspicious that they won't even look into jimmy and is just dismissing it
He was the main suspect until Reed's DNA from other rapes he had committed matched with his DNA on Stacey

Thank you for continuing to try and divide ppl like the mainstream news media. They're the ones that push the narrative that all WHITE police officers kill and/or FRAME innocent BLACK men. Some of us see through this "unbiased" reporting. Rodney Reed is guilty af! He has been charged with sexual assault several times before and has used the "secret relationship" defense in a previous rape case. There is a co-worker that has now come out to say that he saw her talking to a black guy that came to see her at the store that she worked at. Back in those days, even though it was the 90s, where she lived is not too far from me, it was not common to mix races. You could, but it was frowned upon .. especially in the town where she lived.

I believe the boyfriend did it. But when I heard that Kim K wanted to be apart of the case I was appalled cause he did violate a young girl, they just dropped the case cause he was already convicted in murder. He didn't get a trial for this despicable act. He deserves to be in jail

The proof is in the semen the state claims they found inside of Stacey, which the ME and Serologist both testified at the original trial that they found only 3 spermatozoa from the vaginal swabs on the slides that no one has seen. This would indicate Stacey had sex with Rodney a day or two before she was killed. Unless you can explain how millions of sperm cells deteriorate into 3 in a span of 12hrs from when the state claims she was raped and murdered to when they found her body. The life span of sperm is up to 72 hrs. And it was also false testimony given by the ME, Bayardo, at trial that he found sperm on Stacey's anal area, but on his autopsy report, he said he didn't find any semen or sperm in her rectal area. So there was a whole bunch of frame jobs going on in this case.

Ok, at 5:55 Rodney told the reporter that it was just a fling, but at 19:10 his brother said that Rodney told him she was 'The One', which is it? Also beer can DNA isnt more important than DNA on the body. And how he got linked to Stacy's murder, was his DNA from a woman whom he had sexually assaulted. Also how does a coroner miss fluid in her lungs & state the time of death wrong by 9 hours??? One last thing- the prosecutor said "something always doesn't get done, searching their home was the thing that didn't get done" WTF??? When have you EVER heard a detective or DA say that?!? Reasonable doubt is all over this case! Too many unanswered questions!!!

Yeah this whole case is a mess. Too many unanswered questions. I don’t think either man is innocent and they both belong in jail but for a case with so many questions, execution just doesn’t seem right. A very very messy case.

I remember watching this case on network TV; if I remember correctly, a couple of Stacey's coworkers from the HEB corroborated her relationship with Rodney. Anyway, I think her ugly fiancé murdered her but Mr. Reed is problematic🤔.
That's actually a lie. At the time of her murder, police offered $10,000 for any information that could help the investigation and zero people came forward. Nonody made that bullshit claim until they could get on TV years later

The murder weapon has never been tested for DNA evidence? Why?
The short answer: It was tested. In 1996 touch DNA wasn´t yet invented so they found nothing.
The long answer: It has been handled ungloved and improperly stored since the trial 1998; testing it with highly sensitive modern DNA tehcnology is likely to find some DNA likely not connected to the case at all. It no longer holds any evidentiary value.

Jimmy couldn't have gotten to where he got because Stacey was supposedly driving the couple's truck? So, he doesn't have friends that would've picked him up if his truck broke down in the middle of the night? Poor excuses not to look into a cop the way you would look into any other suspect... especially the significant other of the one who was murdered.
And the sister at the end "If you think Rodney Reed is innocent...". I don't think he's innocent of all wrongdoing in other cases, but I don't think he killed Stacey. The beer cans were tested by The defense´s own expert in 1998 and ruled out both men as contributors of the DNA. The beer cans likely have nothing to do wit the crime at all, and was thrown there before Stacey´s body.

What evidence? - His DNA on and in the victim; semen and saliva. His touch DNA on her clothes and backbrace, aswell as circumstatial evidence like the truck being dumped a 10 minute walk from Reed´s residence, the truck seat being adjusted to his height, the fact that he was known to walk the area late at night where Stacey was driving on her way to work, or that he was picked out of photo lineup after he tried to attack and sexually assault another young woman in the same area. What motive? -Likely rape, seeing as there was evidence of rape on the body, and he´d he was involved with other rapes in the past. Was it his belt? - No it was the Stacey´s, the victim. Evidence inside the vehicle? - The backbrace with his DNA on it was found in the vehicle. Texas is a weird state: - On this we can agree.
@@simonsp92 to me the only reason he was charged was on the eye witness evidence, which seems ridiculous, but true. The defense already explained the semen evidence as to him having an affair with the victim. The other circumstantial stuff is weak at best. Why was half the belt found near the vehicle and her fiance's home? There's simply not enough evidence to convict anyone of this crime at this time, but there is enough doubt. The problem is that there is no evidence of a relationship. No physical evidence, and no credible witnesses. What do you mean eye witness testimoney? He was a match on the DNA found in the victim. Eye witnesses has nothing to do with it. He has no alibi for the night of the murder and he has a a history of rape also backed up by DNA matches in two cases. At first he claimed he didn´t know the victim, until he was presented with the DNA evidence, only then did he claim were in a secret relationship; which is a well known tactic by sex offenders, and incredibly easy to say when the victim can´t defend herself. There is more than a enough for a conviction, and apparently also enough to withhold that conviction through 9 appeals and several hearings in the past 20 years. You´re getting things mixed up regarding the belt. Half the belt was found near the body, the other half was found near the truck. Both of which over a 30 minute drive away from Fennell´s and Stacey´s residence. It is true that it was Fennell´s truck, however it was also that very truck that Stacey was known to drive to work everyday. The belt being found near the truck incriminates Reed rather than Fennel; again the truck was a 10 min walk away from his residence. To be fair, both belt pieces could have been planted.

You're right! In fact Stacey had no relationship with Rodney Reed, she unfortunately "knew" him the night she was murdered.
Of course Rodney relatives and Reed's family members LIED ALL (and they're keeping on doing it) telling that they knew that the two had a secret affair, but some were caught in lying and others were not able to prove they really saw them together, and the "witnesses" who came forward recently are just looking for MONEY, the tone of millions that Reed will receive as compensation if acquitted after having done many years in prison, tempt many....it's clear that with 20 million dollars you can be very generous and give many gifts to the people.....who "helped" you to get away.
This was April 1996, before text messaging. At best you might get call records of one phone to another (land lines most likely, but a few people had cellphones. Still, probably only 5% of people then....)

I’m skeptical of the boyfriend because the crime of strangulation is a passionate crime. A random rapist will shoot or stab and leave person to die, not apply asphyxiation which takes upwards of seven minutes. Well, it isn't about that!!! This is about ensuring a man is either a) as they claim ... guilty - or - b) as he claims innocent and nothing more than a victim himself. Let's let the DNA tell us all the truth. If I were the family, I would be fine waiting until I know for damn sure the individual on Death Row is guilty, as charged and convicted. But if the evidence exonerates him, he needs to be set free! And, furthermore, if evidence were to find he was, actually, innocent AFTER his execution has been carried out, would the family maintain that confidence or would they then want to pursue the actual murderer of their sister/daughter/niece/cousin? How can you go back when you are so obstinately sure of a person's guilt? The system DOES make mistakes ... ALL the time!
Sean, Reed asked the Court to allow for more DNA testing after his guilty verdict. They ALREADY granted him that. Problem for Reed is that more items tested, and other items that were retested with more advanced DNA testing, all came back with his DNA on it. So there is actually more evidence now that he did it, than there was at trial.
They found his wet salivia on Stacey's chest and his DNA in her violently torn rectum. He is the ONLY person who could have raped and killed Stacey! Not to mention when they ran Reed's DNA through a database of unsolved crimes, he was connected to 2 other rapes by a DNA match. One rape was of a 12 year old girl, who he violently raped and assaulted. He bit her face and left his semen inside her. She was 12 years old.

I live in Houston Tx & our governor has given him multiple stays of execution because they're looking back into the case & testing MORE evidence they have since DNA has come such a long way. Plus they already know that Jimmy's DNA was on beer cans among tons of other things at the crime scene, around the crime scene and in the truck as well.

It wouldn't be the first time they have executed an innocent man. and it wouldn't be the first time the have sentenced to life an innocent man. He could be a dirty cop getting away with a triple murder and Stacey's family is completely blind sided to that fact and cut off their cousin too because she has changed her view.
The only one who can tell us who did it is Stacey herself. Who was she with during the hours before her death. Her fiancé or the convicted killer Rodney?.
