When the woman decides to leave, has a plan, it always happens then. The abuser can't handle the loss of control. Never tell your abuser that you're leaving!! The time right before you go is the most dangerous.

Why tell them? Just leave and make sure they're at work or out of the house. when they see all your stuff gone they well figure it out. And never. Never meet them alone and it's even iffy when people are around. How many times do you read about cases like this and think, oh he / she wouldn't do that to me? A desperate man / woman is capable of anything... always remember that.

in the front of this apartments people put a flag on one porch at least n' then 2 big flag poles are up now on balconies. there was a flagpole out front anyway that belongs to the apartments. big flags. the gang stalkers influenced that flag on truck thing on her truck. maybe she was a gang stalker or he is or some association. but she liked country stuff style n' they're bikes n' some are country style too it can kinda goes together, too. @Mistic nobody claimed to "know", it's just what they believe based on what's substantial and/or reasonable. This is an approach that we apply to almost all aspects of life, bc there's plenty we don't "know" but still believe to be true. You don't "know" that God exists, but more than half of the entire world's population believes in one. A jury doesn't always "know" what happened, but the verdict they hand out has to reflect what they believe based on what's reasonable and substantiated. This is pretty standard stuff.

So I completely understand the families POV. The defense should be ashamed for the belittling he did about every credible piece of evidence. But he's a defense attorney, what do you expect. The investigation tho, needs to take all these details and personal accounts seriously tho, they're not just made up fiction, they are based in some truth. Come on.. the case is leading no where but this guy.. the crime shows no signs of a random act, robbery, nothing. It's a close to home crime. When we moved out to eufaula, I noticed all the Missing signs all over town for Peggy, so I started looking into it and watching the crime shows about it, but that happened before my time there. The son though, that has been while I've been here and he's part Native American, so the tribal police had started a huge search party for him and then the FBI came out and got involved too. It was a big deal for a few days..maybe 4 or 5 ? I can't remember how long, but then when he was dropped off at the grandparents, and it wasn't where he was abducted from, I've been keeping my eyes and ears peeled for any new info and they haven't said a word. I wonder if the ex came back and picked him up for some reason? Who would abducted her child and then return him to his house?? So strange! There's a lot of rumors about what happened to her, but everyone thinks/believes it was her ex. I wish someone would bring info about the son and see if the 2 are tied together somehow. It did bring more awareness to her case again though.

This boils my blood😭. Everything points towards Thomas without a doubt. Not looking for her, the blood in the tractor, his threats, the fact that he left her truck outside a bar and WALKED thru the rain. It seriously breaks my heart for the family that they will not get justice. 💔

The cycle of returning/staying with one’s abuser is so sad to me. It makes me mad and frustrated but I can’t judge because I don’t suffer with that mental disorder so I can’t speak on it

Completely agree. I can't understand why people stay with people who hurt them so bad especially when they have support or somewhere else to go. It brings out the judgemental part of me but then I have to remind myself I've never been in such a situation.

The first time he hits you (and/or your child)/threatens you/makes you so uncomfortable that you're scared - WALK AWAY! Don't worry about anything else but yourself (and your child). Stuff can be replaced. If you don't have friends or family that can help walk into a church/a store/your boss' office/ police department. It is NOT weakness to ask for help. You can't change an abuser.

I’ll never understand why there’s men out there who beat woman. I’ve never laid my hands on a woman and never could. I had an ex fiancé who got violent with me pulled my hoodie over my head then started punching me and I still never laid a finger on her. My wife now was a victim of serious domestic violence where her ex use to beat and choke her purple when she was pregnant. It came to a peak when he threatened to shoot her shoot their son then shoot himself. She was able to get away and get to the police station and he ended up going to prison and me and her got together. I tell her everyday how beautiful and amazing she is. He broke her self esteem and made it so she had none. I raised his son like he was my own for the last 7 years because he was in and out of jail, prison and rehab. He died two years ago from a drug overdose. I’ve never seen such a small child go through depression like that. Her ex couldn’t stand that she finally built the courage to get away from him and be with someone who made her happy. I hope anyone out there in an abuse relationship gets away from their abuser ASAP. Don’t make excuses to stay. Don’t make it your fault just leave before it ends with you being killed one day

I am curious and I am asking only because I want to know and this is something I fundamentally don’t understand. Why did the early warning signs not drive her away earlier? What might be going on I her mind that leads her to stay after he pistol sipped her?
I have heard people in abusive relationships often stay but I am curious as to what victims of abuse are actually thinking and how are they processing their abuse. Thanks.
