- Here is my take on the KZ AS16 Pro. These have 8 balanced armatures per side and supposed to be a revision of the older AS16 model which I unfortunately did not try.

This is a very goof review and analysis. Are these more suitable for classical music listening? are they good for jazz?
Possibly but the treble at times can be a bit soft.

The graph is actually look pretty good with added impedance. For Harman'ish target probably the best tuned KZ.

Can you do a comparison between this and its predecessor, the KZ AS-16? A number of test and reviews described the original AS-16 as "clean and technical, with a natural sound output as well as a natural sounding bass; more suited for monitoring and technical critical listening". And these tests, as far as i now, were done without any impedance adapters or eq. I currently own the AS-16 and is curious to find out if there is any real difference between the two, or is this just a repackaging of the AS-16.

I don't have the original AS16 and I have never tried it.
What is an impedance adapter? Or could you show me a link of some sort? Would a regular dongle do the same?
It is a small adapter and a google search explains it better than I can. A dongle is different.

Nice one and the AS16 Pro is a bit more picky with the source and the bass doesn't hit as hard but has better separation. They sound quite different in reality.

But I saw what Tyvan Lam clarify in his post that’s due to the testing equipment accuracy . If possible you can test them with more professional device?
I saw that as well but there equipment must have high OI.
What should I prefer, a descent amplifier or an impedance adapter, cause I already have a portable amplifier one, do you suggest that I'll buy an adapter?...

I bought kz zs10 pro x and I am not satisfied at all. I bought zsn pro three years ago. In my opinion, ZS10 Pro X is slightly better than ZSN Pro. If you had to choose between AS16 and KZ ZS10 Pro X, which would you choose? Do you need to pay that much for AS16? Thank you.
I have not tried the AS16 just the newer AS16 Pro model. The AS16 Pro is for the folks who want the all BA sound and very good layering.
The sound is good, the size not so much and it causes it to fall off my ears. I have tried a fair bit of eartips and only kz starlines seem to do the job. They could have shrunk it quite a bit if they used better the space inside the iem.

so does it sound better than single DD IEM's? in details, stage, imaging and all those audiophile terms? How does bass sound? is it faster and more "textured"? How do you compare it with something more expensive, like Moondrop Aria for example? with planar IEM's? does it sound different? or difference only in frequency response?
It might not sound better but it's surely different. Bass hit is softer but faster. Can't try against the Aria as I don't have it with me. Planars hit fast and planars sound closer to a DD than a BA set like this. Frequency response is only a guide.

Yes and they should release a CCA variant with this fixed in the crossover.

It sounds a bit different to what they normally do and the BAs this time have a softer sound to them.

It's KZ So We Know 14 of those drivers are not even plugged in
Unless they use a full range BA, you can't really make an all BA IEM without a non working driver
We will see when someone rips it apart.

This has better layering and separation but it is musical but the tuning and sound signature is quite different.
