And for as old as the LX is, the use of materials and interior quality seems better than the G. BUT the G strikes back with tech and modern design. The LXs magic carpet ride due to its hydro-pneumatic suspension is still impressive. But the locking diffs of the G can not be overlooked for the insane traction it provides in its go anywhere missions(yes, locking diffs on Rodeo Drive is laughably offensive😂). These two vehicles represent amazingly polarizing abnormalities...which make them highly desirable!

I can do 5 oil changes on any Toyota or even FORD...GM or STELLANTIS for that money. You are so full of 💩 your eyes are brown.

Because the g wagon is not mass produced, it’s hand built and the maximum number are sold. There’s also multi-year wait for a new ones, which sell for 100k over msrp as well.

Ok I’m not trying to bash the LX that much, but it is, imo, the biggest example of overpriced. Ok hear me out. The LX makes you pay 5k for the third row alone. That brings the price to 92k even that is a lot to spend on a Toyota product. And in my opinion, the LX isn’t even that luxurious. It has one of the worst infotainment controllers ever made, it has a gauge cluster from 2010, and the interior generally, imo ofc, does not give 92k. Yes there is reliability but that isn’t enough to make me want it. The G wagon is just better in every way. It is actually luxurious. I’m sorry if you think otherwise but I really do think the LX is one of the worst full sized luxury SUV’s out there.

I pay 90k to buy a vehicle that works, no matter what and doesn't waste my time chasing after issues. If you're making enough to afford these, your time is precious. In a Lexus my time is respected and so is how much I paid for the vehicle. I can't be bothered to be driving around in a rental while they fix the merc for the 10th time. Own one, and well you'll get a feel for what that ownership experience is like.
The LX infotainment isn't that bad, I mean I have a 2017 LX, and a 2021 Camry with that touch screen infotainment system, and believe me, my hands on my LX joystick/mouse/ controller with a quick glance at the screen is not bad at all and I find it very safe. On our Camry, yes, the touch screen is nice, but your hands will have to travel and touch the screen vs the mouse and cursor already gliding across the screen. IDK, they both cool and they both have their strengths and weaknesses.
I love my tundra but a Toyota will never be a Mercedes no matter what. The L in lexus to me is a like the L over the forehead of those who pay more for. a Toyota! LOSER!
Not if you buy any of them used after the depreciations have mostly taken its toll. After depreciation, you have a much cheaper, reliable, and relatively luxury vehicle. Some Mercedes are super reliable if you know how to work on them. The thing to remember is that 99% of cars are depreciating objects and the average person should not waste too much money on it. Same with the newest tech gadgets. Invest the rest in yourself (education and/or financially).

Infotainment system is really important for Mercedes.. because u always need to find nearby dealerships to fix the electrical nightmares these cars are..
@@NyQuil.Relief Well buy what you want and then enjoy it. I've seen plenty of MB owners get tired of wasting their time chasing after these issues. I pay 90k to buy a vehicle that works, no matter what and doesn't waste my time chasing after issues.
If you're making enough to afford these, your time is precious. In a Lexus my time is respected and so is how much I paid for the vehicle. I can't be bothered to be driving around in a rental while they fix the merc for the 10th time.
Own one, and well you'll get a feel for what that ownership experience is like.
The LX infotainment isn't that bad, I mean I have a 2017 LX, and a 2021 Camry with that touch screen infotainment system, and believe me, my hands on my LX joystick/mouse/ controller with a quick glance at the screen is not bad at all and I find it very safe. On our Camry, yes, the touch screen is nice, but your hands will have to travel and touch the screen vs the mouse and cursor already gliding across the screen. IDK, they both cool and they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I love my tundra but a Toyota will never be a Mercedes no matter what. The L in lexus to me is a like the L over the forehead of those who pay more for. a Toyota! LOSER!
Lexus has better suspension and interior so price is 15-20% high. What's there to not understand.

Not if you buy any of them used after the depreciations have mostly taken its toll. After depreciation, you have a much cheaper, reliable, and relatively luxury vehicle. Some Mercedes are super reliable if you know how to work on them. The thing to remember is that 99% of cars are depreciating objects and the average person should not waste too much money on it. Same with the newest tech gadgets. Invest the rest in yourself (education and/or financially).
