I dunno man... I've known enough mechanics in my years to know when you see someone like this treating an engine not as as rare and antique, but as a hunk of junk, manhandling and treating it like it's a Briggs and Stratton 2hp lawnmower engine, I think... No thanks... Clearly this motor has been through many owners, whole done some f'd up stuff to it. Hopefully it survives this guy's impatience
Agreed. Makes me appreciate just how good my Father was with old Harley engines. Self taught, MASTER builder. And treated them with respect. Damn it man, at least use the proper wrenches. This guy
Early model small port heads...39 front primer boss cast on head but not drilled. Rear head 38 or earlier Boss drilled tapped and plugged. I've got one just backward 39 lower with large port heads. Knuckleheads Rule
I watch and enjoy your videos all the time. Thanks for putting them out! I'm putting together a Johnny Cash Knuckle myself. 39 right case,Knuckle works Left case,40 or later large port heads with 39 rockers, tins, pushrod & lifters. Pre Bull neck frame, 4" over springer, with a ratchet lid tranny. I dig them old scooters.
Yeah, I am fully aware of that. He just said that it was a '40 or original knock cam cover and its not. My knuckle has a pan cam cover too so I know it works. I did it that way because it was a hell of a lot cheaper on ebay. No joke
I have learn alot from your videos
Thanks a million for the videos. Thanks for the training. this is awesome!

Earlier cylinders, mid 38-39 heads, panhead cam cover

how much would an engine cost to build?
12 piece bucket of chicken and a colt 45
Look up "Beauty" in the dictionary and there's a picture of a knucklehead motor.
John Ratko more knuckles coming, stay toned.Harleys suck after 1957 except for KR's.tatro
+John Ratko I was just going to make the same comment, I think owning a knuckle head will be as close to owning a radial engine as I will ever get.

brad heath sounds like a good ride.tatro
that is a panhead cam cover
so, it still works. not a restoration project, it is a rider and he does ride it all over.

It seems there are Policecars screaming by and somebody calling on the phone in every video :-)
