You inspire me in the sense that I feel as if I, too, can create beautiful art if I just try. And sometimes this proves to be true. Your channel is a wonderful resource for inspiration, challenges, and of course company. Your voice is soothing and your cinematography and editing simply stunning. Please, keep on doing this youtube thing for as long as possible. I will be heartbroken if you ever decide to stop. Love from Greece

You inspired me well over a year ago to tackle drawing buildings. I endeavoured to understand perspective and parallel lines in that time and found myself surprised by the intuition to take over. Scenes that I'd had in my head for years were finally viable on paper for me via bad photocopies of far away places. Architecture had finally became simplified boxes with flourishes.
I am making this comment because after watching this miniature documentary, I find myself amazed and emboldened in the same way as before. Your music choice and filmography style make your videos serene, but this one stands out because of the editing and with so much material, your judicious presentation made it a joy to witness.
Thank you for sharing your vulnerability in this challenge and documenting it so completely. You truly are an outstanding content creator for the art community.

Okay, I'm going to try to make this quick.
You're literally such a talented queen. You deserve so much love and attention. This is my first time seeing a video of yours, but I already love you. Your realistic portraits are stunning and just so awesome! I have no talent, but you inspire me in a way that makes me WANT to pick up a pencil and let my hand just glide across paper. I feel a strike of confidence to continue on in art. Moments after watching this video, I started drawing a random picture with pastels. To be honest, my art turned out much better when I cared and I was confident in myself rather than drawing to try and impress other people. When I say that I mean I drew how I felt was right, but sometimes I get false confidence and I start drawing something far too complex to try and impress others of great talent. At this point, I've written too much. I hope to see much more of you in the future.
    Xox, Ele

That is actually a form of mindfulness/meditation. You look intently at something eg. a flower until everything else disappears, you zoom in and it gets larger and that is all there is. The flower. Its only happened to me once or twice as I tend to fall asleep - I think that I must be hypnotising myself! I wake myself up with a snore. No need to be scared - its an ok thing. Sorry that I can't remember the term for it.

This is so amazing. I’ve recently just watched your 30 ways series over (and over) again with a similar thought - to challenge myself to just draw, paint, create. My problem is knowing where to start, probably because I don’t know where I want to go with my art. I have to say, Minnie, I love listening to the voice overs of your videos; they really take the listener along on your internal monologue of self doubt which evolves into self-expectancy and even, dare I say it, seeing you be with pride at achieving something wonderful in the end. You’re an inspiration. Thank you so much for letting us share this journey with you x

Hi Minnie! Just wanted to stop by and say that this is the first art video I ever took the time to watch on UA-cam and it has become my favorite! I think I've contributed to at least 50 views. I've been a self-taught artist for a couple years now but never thought to branch out through my sketchbook. Since watching this, I've gone through each of the prompts! My favorite piece of advice from you was when you said to flip to a random page in the sketchbook instead of filling the pages one after the other. I've found that I feel freer and less constrained by the book. Thank you for making these videos and for inspiring artists everywhere

It’s amazing how your love and commitment for what you endear to do translates to everyone. I’m not an artist but appreciate and love your style. I feel a bit stuck professionally at present being a stay at home mum, but your videos inspire me to try, to start making an effort with those small projects that we all have in mind but never get around to. Your voice is so relaxing and your energy is extremely positive but down to earth, real and familiar. Lots of blessings!

It reminds me that sketchbooks aren’t supposed to be perfect. That you can make mistakes, try new things, start again, and practice. I tend to be very perfectionistic so I easily lose motivation once something doesn’t quite work out or didn’t turn out how I wanted it to look like. So thank u so so much for giving me motivation and making me have fun while drawing again 💙

I'm really grateful that you took the time to not only do this, but to share your process, your highs and lows, with such honesty.
It was a real gift that I needed today.

You just draw everything so beautifully, I am seriously in awe. That last painting you made looks a lot like Mt. Pinatubo and as much as I’m inspired to draw/paint from this video, this seriously makes me want to go out again and live life to the fullest!

Funny that you felt this way this week. I just picked up the first sketchbook I started in 1999 and decided that this was the year I would finish it. I didn’t jump into a 48 page week commitment like you but I would love to just complete one this year. Good luck on your journey and can’t wait to see more of what you do.

Thank you for posting this! I am a self employed person who happens to enjoy writing and painting. I have huge boxes of daily journal filled up with mostly writings. At least 20,000 pages full of my thoughts. I was tiring of writing so much and started to get more involved in my longing to paint My problem is that I have every art supply known to mankind, yet I am always waiting to paint my masterpiece. As a result, I maybe finish only one painting a month. I either frame and hang it, auction it off at a local art gallery that supports the amateur art community, or give many paintings away as gifts. That's kind of fine I suppose, but by nature, I'm a producer. I would rather finish 200 midline quality paintings than to spend days meticulously working on one piece. It's a constant battle to be true to myself trying to be a prolific artist, and an artist who is happier because I don't stress while creating my works. I did buy some really nice sketchbooks a week ago, where you have about 150 pages per book. Times two sketch books equals 300 pages of paintings per pad. Two books purchased equals 600 pages of paintings. Since they came to my doorstep, I've sketched and painted three pages only. Each could be removed and framed. Here I am trying to get away from the perfectionist side of myself by journal sketching and painting. All I've really done is switch from painting on canvas, wood, and watercolor paper, to painting in an 8" X 11" sketch book. So far, it's taking me hours to finish one small painting. As I hinted to, I have to admit I'm addicted to purchasing art supplies at least twice weekly. The bottom line is from watching your video, I know I can get into the swing of creating art en masse If I can get through a week where I paint no fewer than two pages a day, I know I can do it. I know I'll be happier as a person. Again, thank you for giving me the kick in the ass (aka; motivation) I needed! All the Best to All Good People; and More Importantly - All Good, or Bad, but Happy Sketchers, Creators, and Painters! Campaigner

As I'm interested in art I enrolled in interior design university in Egypt that's where I'm from and I love you so much 💙and because of you I love art more and because we study in college more technical stuff and not artistic as much as I wanted to I find myself always coming to your UA-cam channel to get inspiration even though I know I don't have the time right now because of the finals but it just so relaxing to watch you painting and experiencing and the fact that you're not afraid of not fitting in the new art style or messiing the pages . that's why why I look up to you because often times I want to try new art style but I know for example I suck at portrait yet you you painted and drew 100 portraits and all them very good and that what motivates me to paint or draw a sketch or learn and no art style all because of you thank you so much for being the best role model ever in the world. Greetings from Egypt 💖🇪🇬love you so much

i just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to draw more...i lost my passion a bit in these last two years bc i had school going on and i still enjoyed it but it wasnt as fulfilling as it used to be and not the first thing on my mind and part of your video made me realize that its because i only know how to draw people and i need to practice more and that i need to get back to put in work again but to also discover again how much fun it actually is!

This video is so powerful. I feel that i've been having artist block (as in creating art for my own enjoyment) for the past few years whilst finishing my undergraduate degree and it's so interesting how taking that time out and spending time with the materials really helps you to find your way back to it.

I LOVE blind contour drawings. Great way to break out of art block.
I am trying to finish off this TINY (but thick) pocket sketchbook I've had for about two years now.
There's only 3 pages that aren't complete yet but they're themed so that's why it's been taking so long.... I'm hoping I can Finally get it done by the end of the week.

Minne you are truly inspirational not only in your amazinly detailed works but the way you are handling this type of work and helping others like me with productivity. It is my main issue and I find myself almost hating art and just feeling so run down. You managed to pull me out of this rut and show me that at the end of the day were still artists and it doesn't matter how much or little we draw but that we have been able to create. So thank you! :)
